Fredo Bang Warns Street Dudes Against Posting Photos Of Their Mothers

Celebrities regularly share images and videos of their homelife experiences, but every Mother’s Day, the world receives an intimate look at the parents and guardians who helped raise our favorite stars. Over the weekend, millions of people tuned in to watch SWV and Xscape jam on Verzuz, and just as many famous faces took to social media to share pictures of their mothers. From chart-topping Rap artists to well-known movie stars to our favorite television actors, pictures of celebrities showing off Ma Dukes took over timelines.

As much as many moms relish in the attention, Fredo Bang fired off a friendly warning about sharing certain images online.

Street Guys, Be Smart On Posting Y’all Mother. Make Sure Y’all Not Putting Her In Harms Way for a Post,” tweeted the rapper. “#HappyMothersDay [gorilla emoji] [red heart emoji].” Fredo soon received an onslaught of co-signs, especially considering we’ve received news about rappers, especially, being located, extorted, robbed, and even killed for revealing too much information about their families or movements online.

Many artists, instead, will show their wives or girlfriends and tend to keep moms offline. Do you agree with Fredo that if you come from the streets you should keep your parents’ identities lowkey? Check out his post and a few responses below.

Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Out For Season With Torn Wrist Ligament

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown will miss the remainder of the season after tearing a ligament in his left wrist.

“This past weekend Celtics forward Jaylen Brown was diagnosed with a torn scapholunate ligament in his left wrist,” the team announced in a statement. “Brown is expected to have the torn ligament surgically repaired later this week, and will be out for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. Further updates will be provided as appropriate.”

The team did not detail how the injury occurred but Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald reports that the All-Star forward has been dealing with a wrist issue since mid-April. While Brown is missing time with an ankle sprain regardless, the Celtics decided to go ahead with season-ending surgery.

Brown missed the last three games for the Celtics while nursing the ankle injury.

The 24-year-old is in the midst of a career season, averaging 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

The Celtics are currently 35-33 and in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings; however, they are just 4-6 in their last ten games and will face an uphill battle with Brown now out for the season. If the team’s place in the standings holds, they’ll likely have to face the Brooklyn Nets in the first round.

Erica Banks Drops Off “Flow Queen 2”

Erica Banks is just about ready to blow. The 1501 signee has been riding high off of the success of “Buss It” which took over TikTok and Instagram a few months ago. The viral TikTok challenge positioned Banks to claim her stake in the rap game and it appears that she’s been riding out on this mission with tunnel vision.

Earlier today, the Texas rapper returned with her latest offering, “Flow Queen 2” where she put her lyrical abilities on display. The quick freestyle runs for a little over a minute but Banks unloads on her naysayers and doubters with a vengeance.

Her latest drop serves as the sequel to “Flow Queen” that she unleashed last month.

Peep the latest from Banks below and check out her Rise & Grind interview here

Quotable Lyrics
I’mma give it to you raw and I’mma give it to you good enough
Set us up a date but I be cap, you know I stood him up
Bitches love the ghetto but the bitch ain’t never hood enough
Make one move and the mothafucka tune it up

SWV Singer Coko Reveals She Witnessed A Shooting Before “Verzuz”

The Verzuz Mother’s Day virtual event was the talk of the weekend as Timbaland and Swizz Beatz delivered another successful walk down music’s memory lane. Millions of people tuned in to watch SWV and Xscape relive some of their greatest musical moments on an Atlanta stage as the two successful groups performed their greatest hits. Kandi Burruss’s DJ, DJ-AOne, was on the ones and twos for Xscape while DJ Spinderella held things down for SWV.

When things kicked off, SWV singer Coko seemed out of sorts and people took to the Verzuz comment section on Instagram Live to make note of her low energy. Some called her out for being shady or having an attitude, but the award-winning singer revealed that she witnessed the shooting death while at her hotel before the show.

In a caption to an Instagram photo, Coko detailed her experience. “Last night as I’m preparing for Verzuz, a lady was shot outside my hotel window. To see & hear the four shots, see her laying on the ground and all the blood was unbelievable!!” Coko wrote. “Thennnn…I get to the venue and had a really bad anxiety attack! Literally crying & screaming.”

“Yeah y’all saw me looking uncomfortable & irritated during the first half but, if it wasn’t for my son @jayyemichael @ynottamiya & @mrljb I probably wouldn’t have been out there at all,” she added. “Thank you for calming me down & understanding my mental. I love y’all to the fullest!! [red heart emojis] I always say most won’t care to understand but when you get those that do cherish them!!”

Such a tragedy, especially during a weekend celebration where families are coming together. Check out Coko’s post about her pre-Verzuz experience below.

Village People’s Victor Willis Slams The Weeknd For Grammy Protest: “Lighten Up”

Village People founder, Victor Willis tore into The Weeknd on Facebook, Monday, for his continued protest of the Grammy Awards. Willis implied The Weeknd is a hypocrite for his refusal to participate in the award ceremony.

“Pssst, “The Weeknd,” lighten up on the Grammys already why don’t cha!?” he wrote in the statement on Facebook.

He continued:

You see, while black artists like me were making honest complaints about the secret committees, you were busy racking up one Grammy after another under those secret committees. I don’t recall you complaining about the secret committees when you were benefitting from those secret committees. But on the one occasion the secret committees didn’t benefit you, the Grammys are suddenly corrupt, and it’s off with their heads?

Willis also told The Weeknd to cut Harvey Mason Jr. “some slack.” Mason signed on to be the new chief of the Academy in early 2020.

He explained that Mason is “making real, meaningful and historic changes that will likely benefit the music business for decades to come.”

It was reported, last week, that the Grammys would be removing secret voting committees in response to the backlash sparked by The Weeknd.

Lloyd Banks Has Completed His Album, Hovain Confirms

If you’ve been waiting for bars from the PLK, then you might be in luck this year. As fans continue to demand Lloyd Banks to release new music, he’s continued teasing fans about his possible return. The trail of hints Lloyd Banks has left has formed speculation that he’ll be dropping a new project, though Banks has yet to confirm that himself.

Lloyd Banks’ manager Hovain came through with some great news today during an appearance on The Need To Know podcast. While listing off the slew of artists he manages, Hovain clarified that Banks’ album is complete. “Banks is on the way… the album is done.. 101% done,” he said.

The brief update on the project is better than any other tidbit of information we’ve received. Last year, the rapper took to Twitter where he revealed that he was on a hunt for beats. In late February, Banks previewed some gritty bars that had fans excited to hear what he had in store for his next album, if it ever saw a release date.

Earlier this month, Lloyd Banks previewed the trailer for COTI which seems like the potential title to his new project. No bars were previewed but it seemed like a promising sign that we’re nearing the release of new music from Banks.

Check out Hovain’s interview below.

Logan Paul Spars With The Gronkowski Brothers: “These Are Huge Humans!”

Logan Paul sparred with four of the Gronkowski brothers in a new video for the family’s YouTube channel, ahead of his upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather. While Paul took on Gordie, Dan, Chris, and Glenn, Buccaneers tight-end Rob served as the referee.

“I was the official referee,” Rob told TMZ. “And good thing I was the official referee. My referring skills were pretty legit, 12 out of 10!”

All four of Rob’s brother’s played professional sports in some capacity. Paul said that Glenn, a former fullback for the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots, may have been the toughest.

“They’re massive,” Logan said. “I’m f**king 6’2”, 200 pounds and I go in there and all of Rob’s brothers are towering over me! They’re all taller than me vertically, they’re all wider than me horizontally. These are huge humans! “

He added: “Honestly, I walked in and I was like, ‘Alright, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna kick their ass but I cannot get hit obviously.’ They don’t know how to box but they got some power and if they hit me, that could be it, man!”

Paul says he plans to release the entirety of the sparring footage later this week.
