G Herbo Pleads Not Guilty In Federal Fraud Case: Report

G Herbo’s been dealing with some serious legal issues in the past few months in relation to a $1.5M fraud case. The rapper was among six people accused of using false identities to make lavish purchases of upwards of $1M including private jets, designer dogs, and foreign vehicles.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the rapper faced additional charges on top of charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identify theft. Herbo was also charged with lying to a federal agent in December 2018 for allegedly providing false information regarding his relationship with another co-defendant.

According to Mass Live, the rapper entered a not guilty plea to charges of lying to a federal agent. The rapper appeared in court via Zoom where he was reportedly “respectful” and “subdued.” His lawyer Jim Lawson told the judge that his client was well-aware of the charges against him.

“Mr. Wright is an intelligent man; he understands the concept,” Lawson said.

The announcement of Herbo’s not guilty plea arrives a few weeks after it was reported that the rapper was weighing out the possibilities of entering a plea deal. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling said that the decision on the possible plea is expected to be made before August of this year.

We’ll keep you updated on any more developments in G Herbo’s case.

Though it’s unclear what type of numbers the deluxe edition will do, considering it’s only four additional tracks, Shiesty is still racking up streams and sales. “Back In Blood” ft. Lil Durk has remained one of the biggest anthems of the year, even if it was released in 2020. Now, the two rappers have taken the record to new heights as it’s officially eligible for 2x platinum status by the RIAA.

The two artists have formed solid chemistry on wax that they extended on Durk’s The Voice (Deluxe). Earlier this week, they unveiled the visual for their collaboration on the project, “Should’ve Ducked.”

Hopefully, we get a Pooh Shiesty appearance on Durk and Lil Baby’s forthcoming, Voice Of The Heroes project which is expected to drop next week.

Congrats to Shiesty and Durk on their new certification.

Never thought I’d see the day I turn them noodles into steak

A$AP Rocky & Kanye West’s “Jukebox Joints” Was One Of The Most Insane Moments On “AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP”

Despite his tenure in Hip-Hop, A$AP Rocky has one of the more concise discographies of his contemporaries. His debut studio album LONG.LIVE.A$AP arrived to critical acclaim and commercial success in 2013, and as we inch closer and closer to the 10-year anniversary of his seminal album, A$AP fans have only gotten two more albums, 2015’s AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP and 2018’s TESTING, from the Harlem rapper. Still, Rocky’s sophomore album remains the pinnacle of his catalog.

Although the album came packaged with numerous eye-catching features and a ridiculous number of guest appearances from Rocky’s then-mystery collaborator Joe Fox, one track stood out more than most: “Jukebox Joints” with Kanye West.

Featuring Joe Fox and Kanye West, “Jukebox Joints” was a soulful album cut that was split into two distinct parts. During the first half of the song, Rocky flexes his fashion prowess, and once the beat switches, both he and Kanye deliver spirited and highly quotable back-to-back verses.

In honor of AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP‘s six-year anniversary, revisit A$AP Rocky‘s sophomore studio album by rewatching the music video for “Jukebox Joints” below. Let us know in the comments if you think that A.L.L.A. aged well or poorly.

Quotable Lyrics

Okay, let’s get past all the swag trapping and fashion talking
You want that take it to gats or keep it in rapping talking
They rap impulsive, get embarrassed, it actually happens often
You my son like my last abortion, I’m just laughing off it
I changed rap, pushed fashion forward, yeah, I’m that important
You jack my style, she jack me off, and y’all both acting awkward?

Jazz Cartier & Buddy Connect On “Two Of ‘Em”

Toronto’s Jazz Cartier has some big things on the way following what felt like a break between his last studio album and now. The rapper’s offered a few singles in recent times as he builds up the anticipation for his follow-up to 2018’s Fleurever. He dropped off a new single with Cousin Stizz, “Nothin 2 Me” in March, and now he’s back with a brand new track alongside Buddy titled, “Two Of ‘Em.” The Toronto rapper and the Compton MC tackle eerie, spacey production with boastful bars.

The rapper told Complex that his forthcoming project would be a lot more fun in comparison to previous efforts. “It’s been three years since Fleurever. I’ve definitely improved my rapping, song making, and overall craft and delivery. I also just like to have more fun this go-around,” he said. “My best in the studio occurs when I have fun. So it’s a collection of me having the best time possible on all the records.”

Are you ready for new music from ‘Cuzzi?

Quotable Lyrics
Before I triple, I double it, how you ballin’? You budgetin’
You know three makes a company, call a gem’ and she bussin’ it
Larry jumpin’ them numbers and I just fuck ’em, you coughin’ ’em
Shit, I used to have nothin’, but now I’m lookin’ at Cullinans

Paul Pierce Trashes ESPN: “I Don’t Need You”

Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce is still pretty savage. The basketball great was fired from his role at ESPN as an on-air analyst after he partied with strippers on Instagram Live, joking at the time that he would likely have his contract terminated.

Now that a few weeks have gone by since Paul Pierce was fired from the major sports network, he’s speaking out against ESPN, telling them that he never needed them in the first place. He claims that he’s made more money off of his crypto investment than he did as a member of the ESPN staff.

“@espn I don’t need you,” wrote Pierce on Twitter. “I got @ethereum_max. I made more money with this crypto in the past month then I did with y’all in a year. TRUTH shall set u Free. my own Boss.”

Pierce is striving despite a huge crash in the cryptocurrency market last week, which saw investors weep over their investment portfolios after Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and all the others dipped heavily. Paul Pierce possibly bought the dip though, watching his money multiply in the last few days as things appear to look promising in that world again.

ESPN has not responded to Pierce’s latest jab.

Toronto Lyricist Shad Drops New Single “Out Of Touch”

It has been almost three years since Toronto rapper and lyricist Shad dropped his 13-track A Short Story About War, and left fans wanting more. Wait no more, as the rapper has finally returned with a new video, directed by Justin Broadbent, for his single “Out of Touch.”

The new release gives fans a much-needed colorful tune to rock their heads to this summer with soulful vocals and Shad’s casual yet complex flows. “Out of Touch” truly shows that Shad is not only a talented writer but a vibe-setting forced to be reckoned with. Broadbent’s artistic direction compliments the song well with vibrantly-colored moving shapes and Shad at the forefront spitting bars about the struggle of Toronto life. Along with a new collaboration with DJ J. Period, Shad’s return has come into full flight and “Out of Touch” is certain to take a spot in your summer playlists.

“I wanted to make something energetic for this song that ideally also reflected the idea of fragmentation that’s central to the lyrics and the choppy (fragmented) style of the beat too. Justin, as he always does, captured something honest that reminded me of the simple joy of music and performance,” Shad said of the song in a press release.

Let us know if you’re a fan.

We got crashin’ moods, diseases, and other attributes
