Akbar V Reveals She Suffered A Miscarriage

Love & Hip Hop star Akbar V took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal one of the worst things an expecting mother could ever have to announce.

The rapper told her followers that she had suffered a miscarriage, writing, “soo I was debating sharing this story… well the cat is out the bag I lost my baby.. A baby I was gonna keep. I felt it was a second start cause I never raised one of my kids after birth.” She went on to thank fellow co-star Saucy Santana for being a real friend and shoulder to lean on.

Akbar continues on to explain how she came to write a song featuring Kiyana called “Broken Hearted” to deal with her pain, claiming she “went off top for the whole song didn’t have one pen or pad that’s when you know that God is the only one can give that type of gift.”

Akbar V has pubically gone through a custody battle over her kids, and started beef with former friend Alexis Skyy after coming for her disabled daughter online. While the show runs on drama, many Love & Hip Hop fans feel Akbar has been taking it too far.

Some aren’t ready to forgive her for her actions, one commenting under a reshare of the post, “I don’t feel sorry for her after what she said about Alexis daughter. Karma knows everyone’s address.” On the other end of the spectrum were messages of support for Akbar saying, “it’s always sumn with her poor thing.”

The star ended her statement on a positive note, sharing, “i know all things work good for those who love Christ Jesus. I hope this song and story inspire someone but I ain’t done.”

Michael Carter-Williams Drug-Tested After Looking Jacked In New Pics

Michael Carter-Williams is seemingly putting in some work in the gym during the offseason. The Orlando Magic point guard has been training hard to prepare for next season and it looks like he’s already put on some weight, bulking up and looking jacked in his latest pictures.

“Bully ball,” wrote the NBA star on Instagram, looking swole and attracting the attention of some of his teammates in the comments. “Roids on 100,” joked Cole Anthony. “Need your workout plan bro,” said Evan Fournier. “This n***a boutta get us all drug tested,” laughed Mo Bamba.

Twenty-four hours after the picture was posted, it appears as though Mo Bamba may have been correct. Michael Carter-Williams responded to his comment, confirming that he was ordered to take a drug test shortly after uploading the snapshot.

“No lie bro. I just got a call sayin they comin to the crib tomorrow. I swear on everything,” said MCW.

Confirming that the league actually did send somebody to his home, Carter-Williams took a video of an older man walking through his front door, saying, “It was just the pic. I really didn’t gain 50 pounds relaxxxxxx! The league sent the feds after me quick.”

It isn’t clear if the drug test was related to the picture, but the coincidental timing is pretty hilarious. Similarly, when Alex Caruso posted a picture of himself working out two years ago, he was also forced to take a test for performance-enhancing drugs. Read more about that here.

Bucks Rule Out Giannis Antetokounmpo For Game 5 Of Eastern Conference Finals

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out of the team’s Game 5 matchup with the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference finals. The team announced that Antetokounmpo suffered a hyperextended left knee during Game 4, but an MRI showed no structural damage or ligament damage.

“We’ve played games without Giannis, without Khris [Middleton], without Jrue [Holiday], without whoever it may be, and so hopefully you have a structure and a system where you can function at a high level on both ends of the court no matter who is playing,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said Wednesday.

Losing Antetounmpo is a major loss for the Bucks. The star forward is averaging 28.2 points, 12.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists in the playoffs, this year.

In his place, Pat Connaughton will likely start,

“It’s not something where you … need to consciously think, ‘I need to do more,'” Connaughton said Thursday, after the team’s shoot around. “It’s just you’re ready for opportunities as they arise. Throughout the season, one of the, I would say, beautiful things about our team is you’re called to do different things on different nights.”

Game 5 is set to tip-off at 8:30 PM, ET on Thursday. The series is tied 2-2.

Mac Miller’s Brother Slams Machine Gun Kelly’s ‘Good News’ Film: ‘At Least Change The Title’

Machine Gun Kelly aka Colson Baker is the kind of multi-talented artist who can float easily between music and movies, but his most recent film choice has been a cause of irritation for some. Baker’s latest project is a film called Good News, which Deadline describes as the “the story of the last days of a rising but troubled musician. While the feature is a complete work of fiction, it takes its inspiration from the arcs of such contemporary artists as Mac Miller, Lil Peep, Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD.” Well, the family of at least one of those late musicians is not at all pleased about the project.

Instagram

Mac Miller’s brother, Miller McCormick, posted an Instagram story today voicing his distaste for the project. “F*ck you, f*ck your movie,” he wrote. “At least change the title.” This is a fair response given the name of the film seems to be a direct reference to a single of the same name off Miller’s posthumous project, Circles. Watching someone disconnected from a loved one make art about their life seems like a pretty brutal process, and the family recently spoke out on a similar matter about an unauthorized biography of Miller.

Machine Gun Kelly and the team behind the film have yet to respond.

Chloe x Halle’s Chloe Bailey Readies Her Solo Music With A Steamy Teaser

R&B sister duo Chloe x Halle dropped their acclaimed sophomore album Ungodly Hour in 2020, an effort that catapulted them into the mainstream. Ever since, the duo have performed at awards shows, contributed to viral challenges, and even earned a cosign from Michelle Obama. But since Halle Bailey is currently in the UK filming her starring role in an upcoming live action remake of The Little Mermaid, Chloe Bailey is making music on her own.

In recent months, Chloe has passed the time without her sister by sharing soaring covers of some of her favorite musicians. She’s taken on songs by Rihanna, Silk Sonic, Nina Simone, Cardi B, and more. But in order to celebrate her 23rd birthday, Chloe is preparing to release an original solo single.

The singer teased her solo debut with a brief, steamy preview of the song’s video. It features Chloe’s swooning voice over a vocal sample saying, “Booty so big / Lord have mercy.” The video itself reflects the sample’s theme, with Chloe twerking on a bed as she fires off boastful lyrics.

Posting the teaser to Twitter, Chloe wrote, “this is 23… HAVE MERCY” alongside a peach emoji.

WhokilledXIX Deliver A Glitchy Performance Of ‘Spy?’ For ‘UPROXX Sessions’

WhokilledXIX’s glitchy new single “Spy?” is currently a TikTok favorite, reaching Spotify’s Viral 50 USA chart and sparking interest in the experimental duo, so it’s only natural that’s the song they’d play in their first UPROXX Sessions appearance. The track’s a rebellious anthem dedicated to suburban teenage angst, with defiant lines decrying poseurs and praising individuality over conformity.

WhokilledXIX is described as an experimental rap duo from Connecticut consisting of “lifelong best friends” Yung Skayda and Karm The Tool. Their music has become a favorite of TikTok’s influencers like Lele Pons and Charli D’Amelio, with their December 2020 EP 19 spawning “Spy?” and generating buzz for their April 2021 EP Fall Damage. Embracing an anti-establishment punk image and harnessing the antsy, contrarian energy of the more edgy corners of their online haven, the duo was able to parlay their viral success into a label deal with Masked Records.
