Post Malone, Nicki Minaj & Vince Staples Hold Down This Week’s “Fire Emoji”

Everyone was off last weekend including rappers and musicians who largely held off from releasing new music. It’s understandable since most people were spending some much-needed time with family and friends to celebrate the 4th of July. However, we’re back and at ’em for the top of July and we got some incredible music this past weekend. As usual, we highlighted everything that you should have on rotation this weekend for our latest Fire Emoji update. Here’s the breakdown:

It feels like a long time since we’ve heard from Post Malone. The release of Hollywood’s Bleeding in 2019 cemented him as a leader in pop music. Fans particularly enjoyed his exit from the realms of hip-hop to dabble into other genres, such as rock. However, hip-hop was the vehicle that led his success and his latest record is a reflection of that. It was only necessary that the Playboi Carti-inspired “Motley Crew” lit up our playlist this week.

Vince Staples’ self-titled album is an excellent return after a near-three year hiatus. The rapper’s latest project is filled with incredible moments but fans are keeping “THE SHINING” in heavy rotation.

Aside from Vince and Post, we also got new heat from Bas who just dropped off his new single, “The Jackie” ft. J Cole and Lil Tjay. Additionally, Nicki Minaj’s remix of Bia’s “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” is an anthem that’s riding out this July weekend.

Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier Odds Unveiled

Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier’s trilogy will officially go down tonight and fans are extremely excited to see how this is going to all play out. Back in 2014, McGregor was able to defeat Poirier with relative ease, although back in January, Poirier got his revenge thanks to a second-round TKO. This trilogy match is supposed to be a way to settle the score between the two, and as it stands, most UFC fans believe Poirier is going to take the fight.

This information comes from ESPN who recently spoke to SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas about the odds for the fight. John Murray, the executive director at SuperBook revealed that most fans are betting on Poirier right now, and it has shifted the odds in his favor over to -130.

However, with the fight just hours away, it seems as though there are a ton of fans who are putting money on McGregor, and it could very well be enough to shift the odds back into his favor. For instance, William Hill recently received a $50,000 bet which was placed on McGregor to win. Having said that, it’s clear that there are still plenty of gamblers who believe McGregor can make a surprise comeback.

In his last fight against Poirier, McGregor was a -333 favorite and still ended up losing. This means Poirier supporters won a whole lot of money that night, and they will probably bet the same way this time around. After all, it’s not every day you see McGregor as the underdog.

Let us know who you have taking this fight, in the comments below.

2021’s “Celebration of Mac Miller” was announced in a letter to “Macheads” by the Mac Miller Memoir. Excerpts from the letter describe their excitement for the return of the event following the pandemic. “After being apart from the Machead community during 2020, we can’t wait to see all of the new and familiar faces again this year,” the letter reads. The team also stated that that they made a conscious decision to change the date of the event from September 7th, the day of Mac Miller’s death, to September 10th to preserve the day for his family. “It was an important decision made with Mac’s family that we chose a new date dedicated to celebrating his life and legacy,” the letter continues.

2018 marked the inaugural “Celebration of Mac Miller” following his untimely passing. Heartbroken fans convened in Blue Slide Park in September 2018 along with Mac’s family for the first celebration, and the rapper’s own grandmother spoke directly to his fans. A similar vigil was held the following year, though the 2020 celebration was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

RIP Mac Miller.

Styles P Proves Why His Bar “Hit Different” On “Ghosting”

There are few rappers that get better with age. While Styles P’s a little bit less rugged than he was during the LOX’s heyday, his pen remains as sharp as ever. He’s showcased that he could stand along the young boys when he teamed up with Dave East on Beloved and the slew of projects he dropped between 2018 and now. On Friday, he returned with his latest body of work, Ghosting. Laced 14 songs in total, and appearances from Tony Moxberg, Dyce Payne, and more, Styles’ first project of 2021 is a reminder of just how great of an MC he is.

One song in particular that stands out is “Hit Different.” The rapper revisits his past and the experiences that made him who he is today while also reflecting on his personal growth. “I subscribe to energy, if it’s all good/ If it’s and, then I’m bouncin’ out or pullin’ out the 9,” he raps over a smokey saxophone.

Quotable Lyrics
Just imagine when my act clean
Alkaline body, I’m never taking a vaccine
I reclaim my time like Maxine
‘Cause I was in the water with the crack fiends
I was in the bud with the dope fiends
Came from a gritty place, why you think I’m so clean?

JLo Fans Go Wild After She Drops Body Baring Music Video While Drinking Luxury Tequila

Somewhere out there, father time is trying to figure out why he can’t lay a finger on JLo. The ageless singer and actress has been shocking fans with her youthful glow for quite some time now. And she continued to do so in her new music video.

Jennifer Lopez and Rauw Alejandro just dropped off their collaborative dance record “Cambio El Paso” (“Change the Step”). It’s the first time the two artists have worked together. In the video, JLo shows off her amazing body as she dances through the streets. It’s hard not to stare in awe as the 52-year-old does her thing.

Fans took notice of a bottle of tequila that JLo drinks in the video. The bottle, Don Ramon, was bottled in collaboration with Swarovski. Gorgeous crystals trickle down the sides of Don Ramon, giving it an elegant look. Don Ramon goes for just under $500 at a local liquor shop, but you’d be dropping a few thousand to get one at a venue or club.

Twitter went off when they saw the video. Check out the reactions below.

Maluma Drowns His Sorrows In New Song “Sobrio”

Colombian artist Maluma is one of the biggest international artists in the world right now and with each new release, he continues to showcase his talents. He has a new album dropping soon and to celebrate this occasion, he recently dropped a brand new song called “Sobrio” which translates to “sober” in English. It is an emotional track about losing a loved one to someone else, and the heartbreak that can come with that sort of trauma.

In the music video, we see some cameos from model Eden Fines and even Scott Disick. Fines is Maluma’s love interesting while Disick is the one out on a date with her. From there, we also see Saweetie in the music video, which goes to show that Maluma wanted some heavy hitters in the video. As for the song, Maluma’s singing and melodies are all on point, all while guitars hang in the background and create a somber tone.

You can check out the new song, down below.

Quotable Lyrics:
