Kevin Hart Is In Peak Physical Shape For “Borderlands”

Kevin Hart has taken some additional measures to prepare for his new movie role in the upcoming action-adventure film Borderlands. On Thursday, June 17th, the actor and comedian posted a shirtless photo of himself that revealed how hard he’s been working out for the forthcoming movie. Hart’s post accumulated over half a million likes.

“This movie is going to be super special & unexpected,” Hart captioned the post. “Stepping into the world of real action has been everything that I thought it would be plus so much more.” Hart gave credit to those who helped him on his fitness journey throughout filming Borderlands. “Major thank you to everyone that helped me prepare for this role….from my navy seal friends to my weapon training to the hand to hand combat. It was all worth it,” he continued. “The world is in for a treat with “Borderlands” MARK MY WORDS!!!!!”

Hart tagged his trainer in the post, writing, “P.S shoutout to my trainer/brother @justtrain ….we did the damn thing man.” His trainer, Ron Everline, replied in the comments, “We aren’t done yet and you weren’t suppose to post a picture a–hole.”

The Night School actor is seeking to steadily expand outside of comedy with each role. He’s branching out of the comedic realm with films like Netflix’s drama Fatherhood, the upcoming biopic The One and Only Dick Gregory, and 2022 action-comedy The Man From Toronto.

Borderlands will also star Cate Blanchett, Jack Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, Edgar Ramirez, Cheyanne Jackson and Haley Bennett.

Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low Surfaces In New Colorway

Virgil Abloh’s Off-White aesthetic has made its way to various Nike and Jordan Brand sneakers over the last few years. It makes sense as to why this would be the case when you consider how Off-White is one of the biggest streetwear and fashion brands in the world. Abloh’s work with Nike has been heralded as some of the best sneaker collaborations ever, and four years after the infamous “The Ten” collection, Virgil is still working with the Beaverton brand.

The latest Off-White x Jumpman sneaker to be teased is a white and red Air Jordan 2 Low, which has already been heralded by fans as one of Virgil’s best creations yet. While the white and red model has been receiving love, another colorway has now surfaced on the internet thanks to @zsneakerheadz. This new colorway has a black base with blue highlights and red laces. In the images below, you can see what this new model looks like compared to the red and white version, and for now, it looks just as good.

Model Irina Shayk holds the heavy title of Kanye West’s first girlfriend since his divorce from Kim Kardashian. The two were confirmed to have started dating as early as March and have been spotted returning from romantic vacations together. According to a source from Us Weekly, the couple “are in a honeymoon, lovey-dovey phase right now, they’re getting to know each other and having a lot of fun. It’s not serious yet, but they like each other a lot.”

But who is the 35-year-old Russian model? 

Irina Shayk comes from humble beginnings, growing up in the small town of Yemanzhelinsk with her mother and sister after losing her father at age 14. She was scouted by a local modeling agency as a teenager and was asked to participate in the Miss Chelyabinsk pageant where she earned the title of ‘Miss Chelyabinsk 2004’. 

Her newfound pageant title opened up the opportunity to partner with Italian brand Intimissimi, which lead her to work with huge brands such as Guess and Victoria’s Secret. The infamous IMG Models signed Irina in 2009, and two years later Irina became the first Russian model to have her own cover of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Kanye and Irina are speculated to have first connected when she appeared in his 2010 video for “Power”. The two likely maintained a professional relationship after the shoot, as Irina walked for his 2012 pre-Yeezy era fashion show under his own name. 

For the last decade, Irina has walked the runway for countless fashion brands and graced over 30 Vogue covers. In 2016, the model made her acting debut alongside Dwayne Johnson for the film Hercules.

The accomplished model has been linked to famous soccer player Christiano Ronaldo in the past along with actor Bradley Cooper. Irina and Bradley had a daughter in 2017 but split in 2019.

Migos Are Getting To Another Bag On “New Money”

Less than a week after the release of Culture III, Migos came through with the deluxe edition, and surprisingly, no features were attached to any of the new records. Migos added another five songs to the project which is rather tasteful in comparison to most other deluxe edition re-releases. Migos bounce off of each other, proving that the bank of 700 tracks they had to choose from included some other solid records.

“New Money” serves as one of the highlights off of the deluxe edition of the project. The production, handled by Squill Beats and Will Major, offers a “Narcos” like feel with the Latin-inspired guitar strings. Quavo comes through on hook duties, repeating, “It’s a new day, so new money/ Fuck yesterday.” The song brings it back to their lush, trap-R&B-infused records like “Cocoon” and “Kelly Price,” if only for their use of auto-tune and spacey, melodic ad-libs.

Fenix Flexin Skates On “NDS”

Los Angeles bred rapper Fenix Flexin has been a local treasure for quite some time now. Taking some downtime in quarantine to ready his long-awaited upcoming solo mixtape Fenix Flexin Vol. 1 and to plan a subsequent tour for the project. Expected to feature previously released tracks “For Me” and “10 Toes” in addition to new tracks with Drakeo The Ruler, Rob Vicious, Bravo The Bagchaser, D-Block Europe, Peso Peso, and SaysoTheMac, it’ll be his first full-length project on his own outside of Shoreline Mafia. 

He’s welcomed his next single ahead of the project’s release. On “NDS,” which is an abbreviation for nerds, dorks, and squares, Fenix’s West Coast flavor is on full display. Taking shots at folks who fit the aforementioned descriptions on the track, he lays down a few fiery verses over the pounding rhythms. His mixtape is set to arrive on July 1st, and Fenix is set to bein touring the debut project this September.

Spencer Dinwiddie To Become A Free Agent: Report

Prior to his ACL injury, Spencer Dinwiddie was one of the key pieces to the Brooklyn Nets puzzle. In Kyrie Irving’s absence, Dinwiddie was a solid point guard option who could score points when you need him to, and one can only imagine how he would have done in the playoffs had he not been injured. Now, the Nets are out of the postseason and Dinwiddie has a lot to think about in the offseason as he is now entering a new chapter of his career.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Dinwiddie will be declining his $12 million player option with the Nets, as he would rather explore his options in free agency. The timing of this news is certainly weird when you consider how the Nets were eliminated last night. Regardless, the Nets will have some cap issues next year and Dinwiddie is well aware of the fact that the team probably can’t afford the contract he wants.

Dinwiddie will be a hot commodity on the market as there are plenty of teams in need of a seasoned point guard who can either start or play on the bench. Returning from an ACL injury is certainly no easy task although there are plenty of guys out there who have done it.

Drake’s Dad Dennis Graham Drops “Father & Son” For Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day so a big shout out to all the dads out there holding it down. It’s definitely well-deserved, especially for all the dads who’ve been holding it down throughout the pandemic and beyonce. 

Today, the OVO Sound clique paid homage to the love between fathers and sons, much like the one between Drake and his dad, for the release of Dennis Graham’s latest single, “Father & Son.” The cover art itself features a collage of images of fathers and their children including a photo of Drake and Adonis. Dennis reflects on the journey of fatherhood and the sacred bond every dad has with their child. 

“Live everywhere 12am Father and Son, Thanks @champagnepapi for feeling this song, it means the world to me,” Dennis wrote on Instagram upon the single’s release. A music video for the single is also on the way.

Mariah The Scientist Returns With “2 You”

She followed up the project with two loose singles last year, “Always n Forever” with Lil Baby and the heartbroken ballad “RIP.” As one of the most promising voices in the next generation of R&B songstresses, her unparalleled ability to display vulnerability and feminity in her lyrics has propelled her to the forefront of the game.  

The Atlanta-bred songstress shared her latest track “2 You” this Friday (June 18), a trippy single that features Mariah reflecting on a failed romance. The 23-year-old’s vocals blend perfectly with the slow-groove beat. The single arrives ahead of her first project since her debut, RY RY WORLD, which she announced along with the single. RY RY WORLD is set to arrive sometime this summer.

H.E.R. Changes Up Her Style On “Find A Way” With Lil Baby

H.E.R. is one of the best r&b artists out right now and on Friday, she came through with her highly-anticipated new project called Back Of My Mind. The project has 21 songs and it sees the artist toying with her style while also delivering those smooth r&b ballads that she is known for. On the song “Find A Way,” H.E.R. finds herself entering pop-rap territory as she teams up with Lil Baby for a straightforward banger.

This song features some guitar lines in the background all while H.E.R. sings about her success and some of the pitfalls that come with it. Typically, the artist can be heard singing about heartbreak, although in this effort, she takes a more braggadocios approach that comes as a nice surprise. Baby’s verse fits the song perfectly, and overall, it’s a great yet unexpected collab.
