Tyler, The Creator Thinks “CMIYGL” Might Be His Best Album

Pusha-T thinks that with Call Me If You Get Lost, Tyler, The Creator released the best album of the year so far. While many hip-hop fans agree that the album is one of the best projects to have released since January, Tyler is looking even further. He claims that this has the potential to be his greatest album of all time, speaking his truth on Twitter this weekend.

Dissecting his discography, Tyler admitted that he thinks his new album outclassed all of his previous releases, saying, “CMIYGL might overall be my best one. not necessarily my favorite (yet) but this one was executed at a level i havent hit before.”

When a fan pointed out that “favorite” and “best” aren’t necessarily the same thing for Tyler, the rapper replied, “it doesnt equate and i think more people should understand that especially when they argue about music or whatever all day haha.”

The 30-year-old superstar also praised Pharrell on the fifteen-year anniversary of In My Mind, paying homage to the legend with a tweet.

Tyler has been having an outstanding year. On top of his musical releases, he directed a recent commercial for Converse, which stars Vince Staples, Tim Meadows, and more

Do you think Call Me If You Get Lost is Tyler’s best album to date? Is it your favorite?

Eminem Opens Up About Iconic Gift From LL Cool J

Eminem has made no secret of his respect for LL Cool J. In fact, Shady previously shouted out the legendary rapper on the thirtieth anniversary of “Mama Said Knock You Out.” “It’s another way to say that LL has been such an innovator,” explained Em, speaking on the timeless tune. “Because for a song like that to be a hit, he was so raw on that song, that something like that could become a hit just changed the whole game.”

Now, Em has once again taken a moment to speak on LL, offering some interesting insight into their relationship. Complex reports on a recent section from Paramount+ series Behind The Music, during which Em opened up about one of his chains — gifted to him by none other than Ladies Love Cool James himself.

“Since I was a little kid I always wanted a chain,” Em explains, speaking on LL Cool J’s iconic gold chain worn in the “I’m Bad” video. “I was recording with Rick Rubin and I was like, ‘Yo, can you ask LL where he got his chains from?’ So he had these made and sent them to me.” After Eminem appeared in his notorious anti-Trump BET freestyle rocking a similar chain, many fans actually speculated that LL had something to do with it. Evidently, such theories were correct.

“I’m like, ‘Yo, I wanted that,” continues Em, referring to LL Cool J’s swagger and confidence. “That is what made me actually want to rap.”

Clearly, the respect goes both ways — though the pair of elite lyricists never collaborated on wax, LL Cool J made sure to gift Em a rare Rock The Bells jacket early in 2020. Em also once spoke of what must have been an interesting listening session, revealing that he actually previewed his 2009 album Relapse to LL Cool J in his car. What LL thought of “Insane,” we’ll never know.

T.I. Addresses DaBaby’s Homophobic Rant

T.I. seemingly believes that DaBaby should be allowed to spread his homophobic hate all he wants, explaining that he doesn’t take any issue with his disturbing comments at the Rolling Loud festival this weekend

During his performance this weekend at Rolling Loud, DaBaby went on an unprompted rant against the LGBTQ+ community and people with AIDS and HIV+ statuses. “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” said the Charlotte-raised rapper during his concert. “Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

His comments are making headlines this morning as fans are deleting his music from their libraries, calling him out on social media for such ignorant words. One person that hasn’t taken issue with anything that DaBaby said is T.I., who has faced dozens of rape, sexual assault, and drugging accusations in the last year. T.I. says that if Lil Nas X is allowed to be unapologetically gay, then DaBaby should be allowed to be unapologetically homophobic.

“If Lil Nas X can kick his shit in peace… so should dababy [shrugging emoji] #equality,” wrote T.I. in The Shade Room’s comments.

Let’s get this straight… because an artist is being himself unapologetically and inspiring gay men and LGBTQ+ youth around the world, other artists should be allowed to spew disgusting, unprompted, and hateful homophobic comments? Yeah… no. That ain’t it.

Kyle Lowry Attracting Interest From These Five Teams

Kyle Lowry has been one of the most underrated point guards in the NBA over the past few years. Back in 2019, he and Kawhi Leonard led the Toronto Raptors to the team’s first-ever NBA title, and since that time, Lowry has cemented himself as the greatest player in the history of the franchise.

Over the past few months, rumors surrounding Lowry’s future have been quite prevalent as it is believed the star PG will move on from the Raptors in the offseason. The Raptors are looking to get younger and after a less than stellar season in 2021, now might be the best time for Lowry to pursue some opportunities elsewhere.

Earlier last week, it was reported that Lowry and his former teammate DeMar DeRozan were interested in joining the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, it is being reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic that five teams, in particular, are showing a ton of interest in Lowry. These five franchises are the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and New Orleans Pelicans.

At this juncture, there is no telling where Lowry will end up, however, a sign and trade could be on the table especially with Ben Simmons Raptors rumors floating around NBA circles.

DaBaby Earns Backlash After Spewing Homophobic Hate At Rolling Loud

What was the point of going on this rant, DaBaby? The Charlotte-raised rapper has become the villain in recent months and during his performance at Rolling Loud last night, he seemingly embraced the role by going on a disturbing homophobic rant, while also bringing out Tory Lanez to perform with him mere moments after Megan Thee Stallion got off stage.

Perhaps the person who threw a shoe at DaBaby during his performance on Sunday night was doing the lord’s work because the rapper went on an unfiltered rant against the LGBTQ+ community, singling out gay men and anyone who has AIDS or HIV.

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” said DaBaby during his concert. “Ladies, if your pussy smell like water, put your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

A man, seemingly his DJ, followed up his unprompted comments with more hate, saying, “Let’s be real about this shit, some of y’all n****s suspect as a motherfucker.”

Sounds like projection to me. Why was this even on his mind during the performance? Nah, let’s be real about this, there was legitimately no reason for these comments. Homophobia in the hip-hop community needs to end. We need to catch up to the rest of the world because this rant is simply embarrassing.

Vince Staples Reflects On How Mac Miller Changed His Life

During his lifetime, Mac Miller impacted the lives of many of his peers. He brought EarthGang on their first tour. He bonded and worked with Earl Sweatshirt after the rapper returned from a brief hiatus. And as it happens, he also played a pivotal role in helping Vince Staples’ own rap career take shape, as the Long Beach emcee explained during a recent Drink Champs appearance.

“Earl had come back and I was moving around with him making sure you know he was straight and shit,” explains Vince, who had yet to really dive into pursuing music on a serious level. “I introduced myself to him and he was like, ‘I know who you are. Why don’t you make beats or whatever? Why don’t you make music?’ I say ‘I don’t got any beats.’ He’s like, ‘aight, I’ll make you some beats, come over here on Friday.’ And that’s how we ended up making music and being cool.”

Mac fans already know all about Larry Fisherman. During the era Vince is speaking on, Mac was basically living in the studio, working on music with Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, The Creator, ScHoolboy Q, and more. This period also saw the releases of some of Mac’s most beloved works — Watching Movies With The Sound Off, Faces, and even the cult-favorite Delusional Thomas.

“He took me on tour and he didn’t want no publishing,” Vince revealed. “He said, ‘If you make a million dollars buy me an S-Class Benz or something like that.’ The whole Stolen Youth project, he gave me ownership of it. He just said if you if you make a gang of money just give me like an S-Class — and then took me on the road and paid for my room and board and still paid me. So yeah you know that was the homie.”

He goes even further to provide additional context, revealing that Mac’s generosity arose during a dark period in Vince’s life. “He did more for me…in the time of my life when I needed it,” Vince explained. “At that point I already put two music projects out and I wasn’t fucking with it. I was like I’m gonna go back to what I know type shit. My cousin just got shot and he almost died so that turned it all the way up for me you know. My focus wasn’t on music at all.”
