Brent Faiyaz & Drake Dominate This Week’s “R&B Season” Playlist

Everyone is hoping that Certified Lover Boy season is upon us soon. Drake revealed recently that he would be releasing the project before the summer comes to an end but no exact date has been set. Thankfully, the summer won’t be passing without some new Drizzy to have on rotation. This week, Brent Faiyaz and Drake teamed up for their new collaboration, “Wasting Time” which hails production from The Neptunes. While fans have already deemed it song of the summer-worthy, we’re keeping it on steady rotation on this week’s R&B Season playlist.

This week also includes new heat from Doja Cat who is fresh off of the release of her project, “Planet Her.” We’ve also included a few cuts off of that project including “Love To Dream” and The Weeknd-assisted, “You Right.”

Military Plane Crash In The Philippines Leaves At Least 45 People Dead

While several people in the United States celebrate the Fourth of July, tragedy has unfortunately struck across the Pacific Ocean in the southern Philippines this Sunday following the crash of a Philippine C-130 military aircraft. At least 45 people have died from the plane crash, and more than 50 people have reportedly been injured.

According to Complex, the military plane had 96 people on board, and it was transporting troops from Cagayan de Oro, in Mindanao, to Sulu province when it reportedly missed the runway on the island of Jolo.

Regional military commanders and generals have also reportedly come forward to discuss the fatal accident. According to Complex, regional military commander Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan didn’t confirm the cause of the plane crash but stated that local witnesses were saying that it looked like the plane seemed to overshoot the runway before it subsequently crashed.

Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, another military representative, told reporters, “It’s very unfortunate. The plane missed the runway and it was trying to regain power but failed and crashed.”

While assuring that the tragic incident will absolutely be investigated further, Air force spokesman Lt Col Maynard Mariano has stated that for now, everyone should be concerned with rescue efforts. “We are on rescue mode right now,” Mariano said.

ESPN Roasted For Fumbling Joey Chestnut Hot Dog Eating Coverage

Every single year on July 4th, the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest goes down in Coney Island. It is truly a bizarre spectacle as competitors fight to see who can down the most hot dogs in a 10-minute time frame. Over the last 17 years, the most dominant man in the event has been none other than Joey Chestnut who has won 14 out of the last 17 competitions. He also holds the record for most hot dogs eaten in a single sitting, and today, he attempted to break that record.

As you would expect, Chestnut won the contest comfortably and at 76 hot dogs in the allotted time which broke his previous record by just one. It was a pretty wild sight to behold, however, many were left cheated because ESPN’s broadcast cut out as the event was about to end.

With the recent news surrounding Rachel Nichols, many were already upset with ESPN and this ended up making things worse. Even though eating hot dogs isn’t much of a sport, there were quite a few people on Twitter who were upset with the broadcasting fail, and they let their feelings be known.

Below, you can find exactly what people had to say about the ordeal. In the meantime, let us know if you think you could challenge Chestnut in next year’s competition.

The music world is just a day removed from the one-year anniversary of Pop Smoke’s first posthumous album, Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon. The 19-track effort, which extended to 34 songs after a deluxe reissue, stood as one of last year’s most popular albums. Fans will have to wait a bit longer to view the album’s official tracklist and possible guest features, but in the meantime, they can press play on the outro for Pop Smoke which finds the Brooklyn native giving a motivational speech to listeners.

Along with the announcement of Pop Smoke, the late rapper’s team shared an album trailer that portrayed interviews and behind-the-scenes footage with the Brooklyn native. “Never let anybody get in between you and your creations,” the rapper says in the trailer. “Why you just trying to be cool? You gotta make history.”

Kodak Black Gives Out Free AC Units To His Community

Although the most devastating news related to the current heatwave has arisen from the Pacific Northwest, there are still troubling temperatures and draughts affecting areas on the East Coast. To help his community safely combat this summer’s alarmingly hot temperatures, Kodak Black has stepped up and put his riches to much better use than his recent wasteful antics.

Newly surfaced videos show the Haitian Boy Kodak artist giving out free air conditioner units to the people in his community, right in time for the holiday weekend. Check out the feel-good footage compiled by The Neighborhood Talk below.

In the video, fans can see an entire moving truck filled with boxes of air conditioner units parked at a local park while Kodak Black and his associates deliver them to various people. Seeing that Kodak is shirtless while carrying boxes, one can only assume that the temperatures in his community have reached unbearable heights as well. The local residents appear to be extremely thankful for Kodak’s kind gesture, as the video is filled with people saying “thank you.”

Kudos to Kodak for offering a helping hand out to his community!
