Kawhi Leonard’s Knee Injury Continues To Be A Mystery

Kawhi Leonard was a huge addition to the Los Angeles Clippers all the way back in 2019 and since then, the Clippers have become a threat to win the title. This year, the Clippers made it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history and while they came up a few games short, there is no denying that they were an impressive team. Had it not been for Kawhi’s knee injury in the second round, there is a very good chance this team could have gone on to win the title.

Curiously, little is known about this injury as very few updates have been given to the public. According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, no one knows if his knee injury is simply a bad tear or a full-on ACL tear, which would keep him out of basketball for the better part of a year. Not to mention, this injury could affect his free agency plans as he has a player option with the Clippers.

This mystery certainly has some fans worried, especially when you consider his history in San Antonio and how his nagging quad injury had even more mystery behind it. With all of this in mind, Kawhi and the Clippers have a lot to worry about right now, and it could make for a very interesting summer.

With this information in mind, which team would you like to see Kawhi play with next year? Let us know in the comments below.

Tabitha Brown Responds To Wendy Williams By Respectfully Reading Her To Filth

Because of Tabitha Brown’s tremendous success, she was able to retire her husband from the police force after fifteen years, marking a special moment for her family. Wendy Williams commented on the situation during a recent episode of her talk show, taking a negative stance and projecting her own relationship problems onto Tabitha and Chance Brown, claiming that she was also married to “one of those” kinds of men and predicting that their marriage will crumble soon.

She didn’t need to respond to the drama but Tabitha Brown fired back with a heavy dose of shade, respectfully delivering it with a prayer as spectators continue to go crazy over her clap back.

Wendy, the pain you must be in to feel this way, honey, I’m so sorry. But listen, let me tell you this. Twenty-three years I’ve been with my husband, broke for a very long time together. Struggled for a very long time together. Succeeded for the last couple of years together,” said Tabitha in her response, which has gone viral. “I did every year with him in the LAPD and he did every year with me with rejection and no’s in this entertainment industry. However, God has blessed me… I’ve been praying on this for a very long time and it has now come to pass. That is the power of God. It’s also the power of allowing God to be first in your marriage. That’s how it remains successful, we keep Him first. He is first in our marriage. Not money, not business, not success, but God. He’s first.”

She maturely offered a prayer for Wendy, saying, “I pray that someone will love you enough to see you when you are not well, to see when you need true support, to see you when you need compassion, to see you when you need kindness. I pray that somebody loves you enough to sacrifice their life for you. I pray that type of love finds you so that you can understand why I don’t want my husband to put his life on the line anymore, wearing a bulletproof vest if he don’t have to, and if it’s not his desire.”

Master P’s Son, Hercy Miller, Signs $2 Million Deal Following NCAA Rule Change

Hours after the NCAA ruled in favor of student-athletes receiving money on “likeness,” Hercy Miller, Master P’s son, is already taking advantage. TMZ caught up with Hercy and his father in Beverly Hills yesterday, and asked them about their new 2 million dollar deal.

“It was a 2 million dollar deal. It’s incredible. This is gonna change the way college athletes want to stay in school,” Master P says. “I’m proud of my son going to a HBCU. This is like playing in the pros now,” he added.

Hercy then spoke to the camera, and confirmed he signed with an American technology company. “I signed a deal with an American technology company. Like my dad said, it’s a blessing,” the incoming Tennessee State frosh said. Later adding, “I learned from my dad, I’m gonna start off by giving back to the community and everyone around me. I have a camp July 21,” Hercy says before saying he will also cop himself a new car with the money.

The deal had been in the making for a while now, first reporting a few months back that Master P had everything lined up but was just waiting for the NCAA rules to change and alas here we are. Congrats to Hercy!

Tokyo Olympics Officially Bans Swimming Caps For Afro & Natural Hair

Swimming caps designed for natural black hair created by a black-owned brand will not be allowed at the Olympics TMZ reports.

The hats, made by the company Soul Cap, have been rejected by the International Swimming Federation (Fina) for use during the olympics, citing: “the athletes competing at the International events never used, neither require to use caps of such size and configuration,” adding the caps deviate from “the nature form of the head.”

Soul Cap, created in 2017, is a company that designs swimming caps specifically for natural hair in order for athletes to compete easily without struggling with cap size or the threat of damaging their hair. Following the decision to not be allowed at the olympics, Soul Cap released a statement explaining their disappointment and what it means for inclusivity within the sport.

“We hoped to further our work for diversity in swimming by having our swim caps certified for competition, so swimmers at any level don’t have to choose between the sport they love and their hair.”

Olympic swimmer Simone Manuel already called out what she says is racism in the sport. Last year she said, “I think that my journey in the sport of swimming as a Black woman has been one with many trials and tribulations,” adding, “It’s very obvious that it’s rooted in the thinking that Black people can’t swim, shouldn’t swim or can’t be successful in the sport of swimming,” she continued. “I’ve gotten responses like that. I’ve gotten laughed at when I’ve told people I swim…Swimming is what I love to do, and I’m not going to let someone stand in my way.”

Kenny Mason Explains Why He Went Vegan During The Pandemic

Atlanta rapper Kenny Mason rated his favorite vegan snacks this week on the latest episode of Snack Review, coming through with a special episode for all of our plant-based readers. Despite only being vegan for a year, the Angelic Hoodrat rapper knows that his dietary choices will pay off in the long-term as he focuses on his health, explaining in the second part of his food-centered interview that he went vegan to be kinder to his body.

“I went on some health shit, just trying to figure out how to protect myself against the virus and how to get my body right if I did catch it and n***as was just like, meat and shit is bad for you,” he said. “And I ain’t one of them vegans that tries to tell everyone to stop, I just do that shit for me because it makes me feel good.”

Kenny reveals that before committing to a plant-based diet full-time, he took one or two days out of the week to eat a meat-free, dairy-free diet.

During the same interview, the rapper also tells us his favorite vegan restaurants in Atlanta before telling all of the non-vegan listeners some important advice about buying wings from a mainstream restaurant. “You cannot get wings from a mainstream restaurant. When you go in the wing restaurant, they gotta be rude to you,” he joked. “If they’re not rude to you, they’re shit. They’ve gotta be rude. If they’re not rude, the wings not fire.”

Kenny also told us the worst food he’s ever eaten in his life, calling out a Vegan brand that starts with the letter “D” (if you know… you know) that specializes in cheese.

2 Chainz & Juicy J Assist Beatking On Strip Club Anthem “SDAB”

After teaming up with Erica Banks and Dreamdoll on the remix to “Too That” a couple weeks ago, DJ Beatking is back with more heat for the holiday weekend, this time calling on 2 Chainz and Juicy J for a new single called “SDAB.”

Short for “Shake Dat Ass Bitch,” “SDAB” is a new strip club anthem that finds Chainz and Juicy rapping about making it rain, designer bags, and of course watching the ladies shaking their asses. It’s quite the repetitive song with “shake the ass bitch” being the chorus over and over, but it’ll definitely get the ladies moving in the club. And Juicy J’s verse is pretty hard.

Check out the lyric video (below) and let us know what you think!

Quotable Lyrics:

All that ass you got we got ned a private room
Gon’ pop that pussy just like I be poppin’ shroom
I love a ratchet bitch that never been out the states
Her idea of FaceTime is my dick in her face

– Juicy J

Pooh Shiesty Goes To Work In His XXL Freshman Freestyle

As more content rolls in following the reveal of the 2021 XXL Freshman cover, Hip-Hop fans are getting more opportunities to see the skills that each of the newly crowned freshmen possesses.

Of all of the rising artists who graced the cover — Coi Leray, Lakeyah, Rubi Rose, DDG, Iann Dior, Blxst, and Toosii, among others – only 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, and Morray had released their XXL Freshman freestyles so far, but now, one of the fan-favorite artists from this year’s class has finally dropped theirs: Pooh Shiesty.

Although the video is roughly one minute and 15 seconds long, Pooh Shiesty’s freestyle is short, sweet, and to the point. He opens his verse by rapping, “Bout eighty thousand in these thousand-dollar jeans so I’ma sag/In the event a n*gga play, I’ma make him throw in his flag.” Just like the opening lines, Pooh’s verse is hard from start to finish, despite it being so incredibly brief.

From his Southern accent to his street-minded lyrics, Pooh Shiesty’s XXL Freshman Freestyle feels like an essential verse from the 1017 artist, and he closes off his freestyle with an exclamation point, rapping, “I’m at the top and I can’t fall ’cause I know they wanna see that/Blrrrd, blrrrd.”

Watch Pooh Shiesty’s XXL Freshman Freestyle below and let us know who you think has the best freestyle so far.
