NLE Choppa might have changed up his act for the cameras, preaching a more spiritual lifestyle and showing off the vegetable garden he’s been growing in his backyard but behind the scenes, he’s still getting into violent fights. The 18-year-old rapper was recently spotted getting into a physical altercation in Venice Beach, getting caught on video as his entourage beat up a man in a massive brawl.

Walking by the beach, the rapper and his friends seemingly got into an argument with another man, which turned violent quickly. As seen in the video, a man was stopped with his scooter on the pedestrian path before getting into a situation with the 18-year-old rapper and his crew. Choppa was seen trying to get around his security to throw a punch before the entire gang beat down on the man, who was alone. Witnesses stood by and watched as many yelled at the group to stop throwing punches, claiming it was unfair. It isn’t clear what started the fight.

The last month hasn’t been the easiest for NLE Choppa, who was arrested in late March on multiple charges. Responding to his arrest, the rapper said that he was set up by the police, who allegedly planted drugs on him. With his arrest still in the front of people’s minds, this fight was the last thing he needed.

As you can see in the official images below, this shoe has a mostly black upper all while the midsole has some gold elements sprinkled in. We also have gold on the “20” and “21” logos which are stitched in on the sides and are meant to commemorate the graduating class of 20-21. Overall, this colorway is simple yet classy and they would probably look good on any student who is wearing their graduation gown.

Birdman’s Cash Money Records is easily one of the most legendary labels in hip-hop history, having launched the careers of artists like Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Turk, BG, and Mannie Fresh. Following its dominant run, a new generation of rappers emerged to rep the movement with the launch of Young Money, which brought Drake and Nicki Minaj into the mix. Suffice it to say, Birdman has built quite the substantial nest, having amassed an impressive — and no doubt valuable — collection of master recordings under the Cash Money banner.

Over the weekend, Birdman took a moment to sit down with Wallo of Where’s Wallo (co-host of Gillie Da Kid’s Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast) for a rare interview. And while the topic of master ownership can certainly be a touchy subject at times, Wallo made sure to inquire all the same, prompting Birdman to reflect on the substantial earnings the label sees as a result.

Explaining that he owned his masters ever since signing his first record deal, which came with a ninety-ten royalty split in his favor and a thirty-million dollar advance Birdman noted that it didn’t take his label very long to recoup. “Juvenile dropped 400 Degreez, that shit did ten million,” he reflects. “A bad day for us was a million or two million copies.” 

Stressing the importance of owning one’s work, Birdman explains that he felt many of his predecessors in the game were shortchanged in unfavorable deals. Wallo inquires about how an artist can make money off the masters, prompting a gem from Birdman at around the seven-minute mark. “If it has a value,” explains the mogul. “That’s a value. If you don’t have a value, you sitting on some shit that’s dead — but it’s still your shit. But our shit had value. We license the music. I just started letting people sample my shit. There’s a gang of ways to make money off your masters. We generate twenty-thirty million dollars a year just on our masters.”

Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Toronto Raptors in a game that they needed to win. Now, the Lakers are tied for fifth place in the Western Conference although they are currently sixth due to a lost tie-breaker with the Dallas Mavericks. If the Lakers keep losing, they could be forced to partake in a play-in game just to make the playoffs. Anything can happen in these types of games and, now the Lakers need to start winning in order to fix things.

After last night’s game, Anthony Davis opened up on the team’s struggles to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. Davis acknowledged that the team is in disarray right now, although he did express optimism for the future.

“This is the lowest we’ve been … But the only way is up,” he said. This is certainly a good way of looking at things, especially when you consider how LeBron James is still recovering from his ankle injury. Once LeBron gets to 100 percent and the whole team starts clicking, this Lakers squad could do some real damage once the playoffs roll around.

For now, however, the Lakers are in a dire situation and it’s going to take a massive effort from everyone to get themselves out of it.

Travis Scott really loves his birthday. The 29-year-old celebrated another turn around the sun this weekend, making sure to link up with the love of his life for a long night of dancing, raging, and more fun. Judging from how things turned out on Kylie Jenner’s Instagram story, it’s safe to say that Stormi’s parents enjoyed the night out.

In a video posted to Kylie’s page, the socialite can be seen partying with the father of her daughter, Travis Scott. The two turned up to one of Future’s songs at the club, where Travis could be seen wearing one of his new Utopia chains. At one point in the video, which looks like it was filmed by a very drunk Jenner, the billionaire sticks out her foot, which Travis repeatedly taps with his hand. That’s probably some sort of inside joke that we’re missing, but it definitely looks like they had a ball.

Considering how close the two were all night, many are theorizing that it’s only a matter of time before Travis and Kylie announce that they’re getting back together. They have remained close friends throughout their split, co-parenting their daughter as the rumor mill continues to implicate them years after their breakup.
