Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Brother Alex Set To Sign With NBA Team

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best basketball players on the planet and he is also an NBA champion. In fact, the vast majority of his brothers are NBA champions as well, with Thanasis taking home a title with the Bucks last season. As for Kostas, he won a chip just a couple of years ago with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he just so happened to be the first Antetokounmpo to win a championship.

The only Antetokounmpo brother to not win the Larry O’Brien trophy is the youngest brother Alex, who has yet to start an NBA career. The international star went undrafted just a few months ago although he has remained determined to get an opportunity.

Now, it looks like that opportunity is almost upon him. In a report from a Greek publication called Ethnos, it has been revealed that the Toronto Raptors are about to put pen to paper on a deal that would have Antetokounmpo come to their training camp. Of course, as an undrafted player, there is no guarantee he makes the team, although this is certainly good news for Alex and his family.

Perhaps the greatest irony of this signing is the fact that some thought the Raptors would be a solid destination for Giannis in the event that he left Milwaukee. Now, the Raptors finally get their Antetokounmpo brother, this time in the form of Alex.

Lizzo Has Hilarious & Raunchy Reaction To Lil Nas X’s “MONTERO” Album Release

Lil Nas X’s highly anticipated debut studio album MONTERO has finally arrived, and Twitter has been abuzz as the first reviews float in. Plenty of fans have already given their take on the project, but out of everyone so far, the best reaction has undoubtedly come from Lizzo.

“[I’ve] never been a fan of lil nas but this new project he released has me literally pissing, shitting, and cumming,” the “Juice” singer tweeted out this morning.

Lil Nas X, clearly flattered by the co-sign, replied, “LMFAOOOO I LOVE U,” before grabbing a screenshot of the tweet and posting it to his own Instagram page. “The queen has spoken,” he captioned the post.

Lizzo’s initial tweet earned her some confused replies from people questioning why she didn’t like Nas before, but what they didn’t realize is that the verbiage actually comes from a joke spam tweet that the “Old Town Road” singer posted earlier today.

“Can’t believe Obama said that,” the 22-year-old wrote, along with a link that takes anyone who clicks it to an option to post the exact tweet that Lizzo sent out this morning in support of her friend.

Although the pals didn’t collaborate on MONTERO, Lil Nas X did work with a tremendously talented group of artists including Doja Cat, Sir Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, Jack Harlow, and Miley Cyrus.

HipHopDX reports that Nas also tried to get Drake and Nicki Minaj to appear on the project, but the former was busy working on Certified Lover Boy and the latter’s team completely deaded the competition.

Have you listened to MONTERO yet? What’s your favourite track? Leave a comment and let us know.

Nicki Minaj Goes Off One Last Time Over COVID-19 Vaxx Controversy & Trinidadian Reporter

The Twitter war between Nicki Minaj and what feels like many, many opponents rages on.

Earlier today, in a since-deleted tweet, Minaj quoted a reporter from Trinidad and Tobago, saying “You are the one harassing my family???!!?!???! SPEAK UP B4 I BEGIN. I KNOW YOU SEE THIS!!!!!!”

Minaj’s tweets which come in response to a thread of statements from Sharlene D Rampersad (Twitter user @TriniReporter). Yesterday, Rampersad stitched together four tweets directed towards the “Super Bass” rapper and the alleged misinformation she shared when telling a story of her cousin’s friend in Trinidad and Tobago whose testicles became swollen after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

What @NICKIMINAJ either does not know or does not care about is Trinidad and Tobago is currently under a State of Emergency. Many business sectors are closed and have been for months on end. Vaccination is our way out,” Rampersad tweeted before continuing on. “But 60 per cent of our population is unvaccinated. Vaccine hesitancy is high. People are dying and their livelihoods are suffering because of misinformation.”

Rampersad added that if vaccination rates in Trinidad and Tobago increase in September, certain sectors of business can potentially re-open, but quickly re-directed the attention back to Minaj.

“When you use your international platform to spread lies, you hurt us,” Rampersad told Minaj. “We aren’t some island fantasy you get to bring up if you’re bored. 1,391 people have died from COVID-19 here. Leave us alone now.”

Minaj, who has found herself in the middle of one of the most bizarre COVID-19 related controversies since the beginning of the pandemic, took to Instagram to reveal that Rampersad has allegedly been contacting her in Trinidad and Tobago and probing them for both information and access to the rapper. Taking these messages as threats, Minaj returned to Twitter to address Rampersad, writing in since-deleted tweets, “I was done discussing this sh*t. Why are they contacting my family? Control. I kept my mouth shut when the Trinidadian health officials spoke on my name b/c I don’t want to do this them. What I know & can say is weighing very heavy on me. #BallGate”

Nicki also tweeted that she is “chillin, creating music, being happy,” and finished with, “Let it go,” unfortunately, however, that final tweet has been deleted too.

Yesterday, after Dr. Fauci refuted Minaj’s claims that the COVID-19 vaccine could cause impotence, Barbz in Atlanta took to the streets to protest in front of the CDC headquarters chanting, “Nicki Minaj told the truth to me! Fauci lied to me!”

How do you feel about the entire Nicki Minaj COVID controversy? Is there an end in sight? Let us know in the comments.

Bhad Bhabie Takes Shots At Her Haters On “Miss Understood”

Bhad Bhabie is a controversial figure in the hip-hop world and that’s something that probably won’t ever change. From her days as a meme on Dr. Phil to a social media star, and now, to a rapper, Bhad Bhabie has always found ways to dominate the public discourse. When it comes to her music, Bhabie took a brief hiatus although now, she is back with a brand new song called “Miss Understood.”

This song sees Bhabie rapping over some smooth 808-heavy production that allows for her voice to take much of the shine. The artist can be heard spitting bars about her rise to fame, the haters she has amassed, and just how confident she is with her own being. In the future, the rapper will be coming through with a new EP, and “Miss Understood” serves as a solid lead single for the project.

You can stream it, down below.

Quotable Lyrics:

From the jet to the coupe, from the coupe to the booth
From the booth, to the shoot, to the show, I’m the truth
Paid a lot for the chain, kinda hard, knot the chains
That’s the parts of the fame, when they all know your name

Bow Wow Appears To Deny Having A Son In New Twitter Fan Q&A

Fans of Bow Wow have nearly always known him to be the father of Shai, his 10-year-old daughter, but it wasn’t long ago that the rapper revealed he has another child, a son named Stone.

From the looks of things, the 34-year-old is now doubling down on claiming the young boy as his own. In a recent Twitter Q&A session with fans, Bow Wow made it abundantly clear that Shai is his only child.

When one fan asked how he stays motivated, the “Outta My System” singer replied simply, “Shai.”

Other questions like “what’s your biggest accomplishment?” and “do you want more children” also prompted Bow Wow to respond with answers specifically about his daughter.

“Hell no, I’m fine with Shai,” was the rapper’s response to the latter question, an obvious hint that he no longer considers himself to be Stone’s father.

Fans quickly caught on to the message that Bow Wow was putting out to them, and they began diving deeper into the paternity mystery.

“Don’t you have a son?” someone asked, which led the father of one to respond with, “[Now playing] Billie Jean for the 2nd time.”

Bow Wow, who was referring to the Michael Jackson classic, was insinuating that Stone’s mother, Olivia Sky, misinformed him into believing that he was the father.

BCK reports that some Twitter users noticed that the rapper has taken down photos of the baby boy that were previously on his Instagram, only further fuelling the rumours that Bow Wow is not the father.

See some of the 35-year-old’s responses for yourself below.

DDG Spits Braggadocios Bars On His Smooth New Single “Rucci”

DDG has been upping his profile substantially as of late and his fans are taking notice. The artist made a name for himself on YouTube but at this point, it’s safe to say that most fans know him more from his music than his video output. He has had a consistent string of releases as of late, including his latest song which was released today, called “Rucci.”

On this new track, DDG opts to go with some stripped-back production as it’s his voice that commands the vast majority of the attention. Throughout the song, DDG goes with some fun word play and braggadocios bars that speak to his status, as well as his affinity for designer clothes. It’s yet another dope effort from the artist, and it can be streamed, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Stop the cappin’ you know wassup
I be in the city with the stick, it fosho was tough
Moncler moose knuckles, nobody cold as us
I just seen rich n****s go from gold to dust

Tion Wayne Delivers Debut Album “Green With Envy”

London emcee Tion Wayne has been steadily buzzing, and now he’s officially delivered his debut album Green With Envy. Arriving in full seventeen-track glory, the project features guest appearances from Polo G, D-Block Europe, 6LACK, Davido, DSG, RAYE, and Afro B — but in spite of the busy lineup, the spotlight largely belongs to the versatile Tion.

Unafraid to dabble in a variety of genres, Tion Wayne wastes little time in setting the tone the moment the intro kicks in. From there, he proceeds to put in work over London Drill, Afrobeats, and even R&B. To gain maximum enjoyment from Green With Envy, it’s recommended that one go in with an open mind, provided you aren’t already on board with what the rapper has been dropping.

Based on early responses, it looks like the project will go a long way in furthering Tion’s presence in the North American mainstream; seeing him linking up with Polo G on “Rock Dat” and 6LACK on “Spend A Bag” will likely emerge as early standouts to some. But don’t get it twisted — those in tune with the U.K scene will be greatly rewarded by queuing this one up and hitting play.

Nicki Minaj Threatens And Doxxes A Guardian Reporter Who Tried To Contact Her Cousin For An Interview

“Ball-gate” just stopped being funny. Nicki Minaj, who has been under fire for spreading anti-vaccine misinformation over the past week, is now doxxing and threatening a reporter who reached out to her relatives in Trinidad for comment on the story. Nicki posted photos and shared the WhatsApp phone number of the reporter on her Instagram Story, calling the reporter “a dirty hoe” and claiming that her family is hiding out from reporters.

Nicki shared WhatsApp screenshots of the conversation via her cousin in which the texter identifies themselves as a Guardian reporter named Sharlene Rampersad and asks whether he’s the cousin Nicki referred to in the original tweet. Although there’s no way to confirm that the text actually came from the named reporter, the texter asks to speak with Nicki’s cousin, and if possible the friend whose wedding was supposedly canceled due to adverse reactions to a COVID vaccine, as Nicki’s original tweet suggested.

However, this reporter crosses a line by intimating that a competing outlet, CNN, is also pursuing an interview. The texter suggests that CNN would reveal personal information about the cousin — something against the journalistic integrity policy of any legitimate news outlet — and assuring that the Guardian would not. Aside from being the dirtiest of dirty pool, this sort of thing isn’t common practice at most outlets and is actually against the law in many jurisdictions.

Nicki, interpreting this messaging as a threat, went off, posting the WhatsApp phone number that reached out to her cousin, as well as two photos of the reporter. Screenshots can be seen below.

While Nicki certainly has a right to be upset at the unsolicited contact, there’s 1. no proof that the texter actually is this person, and 2. absolutely no call to violate a person’s privacy to her 157 million Instagram followers, many of whom have previously shown a penchant for cyberbullying people just for sharing their unfavorable opinions of her latest singles. While Nicki insists that she’s being targeted for “asking questions,” the truth of the matter remains: The “questions” she’s asking have already been answered several times over, and her spreading misinformation is a dangerous tactic that could very well get more people hurt. The COVID-19 coronavirus has killed well over 650,000 people and conspiracy theories only harm the distribution of vaccines meant to save lives.

However, if the person who reached out to her relations really is the named reporter, then shame on her as well for violating so many tenets of journalistic integrity in the pursuit of a quote. She should, however, be reprimanded by her employer, not terrorized by online vigilantes at the behest of an angry musician — especially not one distracting from the serious work being done to combat the spread of a deadly pandemic. That hasn’t stopped Nicki from also lashing out on Twitter, tagging Rampersad in an all-caps rant quoting a day-old tweet criticizing her for spreading misinformation.
