Britney Spears Confirms That She Deleted Her Instagram Account And Explains Why

Earlier on Tuesday, fans of Brintey Spears noticed that her Instagram was no longer active. The account was a place where the singer could freely speak about her personal life, especially the events surrounding her conservatorship. When her supporters noticed it was no longer active, concern began to grow for Spears. However, the singer took to her Twitter account to reassure them that everything was okay. “Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement !!!!” she wrote, adding, “I’ll be back soon.”

Billboard also confirms that the singer willingly chose to delete the account.

It was just two days ago that Spears announced her engagement to Sam Asghari. The two have been dating for four years and they met back in 2016 during the video shoot for the singer’s “Slumber” track. The couple shared the news about their engagement with posts on their respective Instagram pages.

Asghari’s manager, Brandon Cohen, said that he’s “proud to celebrate and confirm the engagement,” in a statement to People. He added, “The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication, and love expressed to them.”

Other recent good news for Spears includes her father opting to file a petition to end the singer’s 13-year conservatorship.

Chuck D & Flavor Flav Are Feuding Over A Reunion Tour, New Music

It was over a year ago when news surfaced that there was animosity brewing between longtime friends and collaborators Chuck D and Flavor Flav. The Hip Hop icons were reportedly in a spat over their group Public Enemy, but later, it was all revealed to be a part of a hoax for publicity. Now, it seems, the pair are seriously at odds, and recently, TMZ caught up with Flav to chat about what’s next for him and Chuck.

“There’s some things that Chuck D has to work out with me and once he comes to the table and sign this partnership agreement, then we can work,” said Flav. “If he doesn’t sign this partnership agreement, we not working… That’s my boy and that’s my family member, but business-wise, we’re not seeing eye-to-eye.”

He then said that he wasn’t at fault for “the hold up of this Public Enemy project.” Stereogum reported that Chuck D responded to Flav’s remarks via a statement issued by his publicist.

Come on y’all. This is tired and stupid. Flav and I communicate on our own, so I normally don’t address these things in public, but I’m tired of the circus of airing news that ain’t news and am going to keep it factual here. Flav sues the folks he works with, so in 2017 he decided it was my turn. He lost when the judge dismissed the suit with prejudice in 2020, which means it’s permanent. Over. He can’t file again. He lost. Even after all of this, even after all the years of Flav giving the situation minimum while always asking for the maximum, I still work with him. But it’s time to change. Everybody in the situation can’t be burdened with picking up his slack. The key word in ‘Brothers Gonna Work It Out’ is the word ‘work.’ We’re always gonna be brothers regardless, but Flav’s gotta do the work and there ain’t no getting down without the work. Simple as that.

Hopefully, these two Rap veterans and icons can mend fences and move forward with sharing new music with fans. Check out Flav’s clip with TMZ below.

Quavo Says Migos Invented “Triplet Flow” But Fans Cite Bone Thugs & Three 6 Mafia

A declaration made by Quavo has Hip Hop fans talking. There have been a variety of innovators in the genre since its inception decades ago, and with each new wave and transition, a new set of stars arise who help push Hip Hop and Rap forward into a new era, often with a new sound. Some of our favorites hold those top-tier “GOAT” positions because of their game-changing influence on Hip Hop culture, and in a recent interview with Taylor Rooks for Bleacher Report, Quavo spoke about what he believed the Migos invented that others artists have been utilizing.

The triplet flow, for sure,” said the Atlanta icon. “Wasn’t nobody doin’ it before we came and right now, everybody’s doing it. It’s a blessing.”

Rooks then quoted David Banner who stated that artists are copying the Migos’s sound without giving them credit. “They just don’t want to give credit,” said Quavo. “You don’t want to come in, being new, and say you took somebody style or sayin’ you got the style of… You don’t want to say that you influenced by too many young people, ’cause you don’t know how people will take it.”

It all seemed innocent enough, but there were a select group of Hip Hop fans who disagreed with Quavo’s assessment. They acknowledged that groups like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Three 6 Mafia were holding down the sound long before the Migos stepped onto the scene.

Rick Ross Bought His Son A Wingstop Franchise For His 16th Birthday

Most 16-year-olds want a car or maybe the latest iPhone for their birthday. But not everyone is Rick Ross’ son. The rapper purchased a Wingstop franchise for his son’s 16th birthday, as he revealed in a recent Instagram post. “Everyone wish my son @mmgbigbank HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY!!!” the rapper wrote in the post’s caption. “Today, he became the owner of his 1st @wingstop franchise. [You’re] now officially a BOSS!!! Keep Going.”

Ross himself is the owner of 25 Wingstop franchises locations. He recently helped them launch Thighstop, which helped the company cope with the recent shortage of chicken wings. The rapper also spoke about his support and growth with the company during an interview with Complex.

“Well, first and foremost, my personal passion for it hasn’t wavered any, over all the years I’ve loved Wingstop,” he said. “You see, I’m still repping it like it’s the first time I had it. And when I eat Wingstop, it’s still like the first time I had it. And on a business side, when I went and sat down with the CEO, Charlie Morrison, he knew I had no experience being a franchisee.”

He added, “He knew I didn’t have the time sitting in a franchise, but he saw my vision and my passion. He opened the doors for me. He didn’t just let me follow my dreams. He let me go to that next level.”

Barry Hankerson Claims Aaliyah’s Mother “Knew A Lot More” About R. Kelly Relationship

Fuel has been added to the fire of the scandal involving the relationship between Aaliyah and R. Kelly. It has been long and widely reported that the disgraced singer carried on an inappropriate relationship with Aaliyah when she was a young teen, even marrying her when she was just 15 years old. Sadly, Aaliyah would never get the chance to share her side of what occurred during those early years as she was entrusted to Kelly by her family to help shape her career, but there has been speculation for decades.

We have recently seen Aaliyah’s catalog make its way to DSPs now that Blackground Records is back up and running thanks to its owner, Aaliyah’s uncle, Barry Hankerson. He has been on a press run to speak about his new app as well as Aaliyah’s life and career, and recently, he sat down with Dr. Oz.

During the chat, Hankerson was once again asked about Aaliyah’s relationship with Kelly, and he was insistent that he did not know that she was allegedly being sexually abused. “Didn’t have a clue,” he said. “Completely ignorant to it.” However, he did admit that there were members of the family that knew about what was going on.

“I think my sister knew a lot more than what we thought she knew,” Hankerson said of Diane Haughton, Aaliyah’s mother. This brief clip has slowly begun circulating online and fans aren’t believing his story. However, there have been rumors about who did and did not know about Aaliyah and R. Kelly. People have come forward to blast Hankerson over this interview as they recalled him continuing to work with Kelly following Aaliyah’s death.

G-Eazy Arrested Following Nightclub Brawl In NYC: Report

It looks as if G-Eazy had a rough evening following an alleged altercation in New York City. The Big Apple has been buzzing with news as New York Fashion Week, the MTV Video Music Awards, and the Met Gala all occurred within days of one another. Celebrities have descended on the city in droves and the rich and-or famous have been filtering in and out of luxury hotels and exclusive nightclubs.

According to reports, on Monday (September 13) evening, G-Eazy and his crew were at the Standard hotel’s club when they had an argument with another group. Page Six reported that it was a little after 12:30 a.m. when a person in the rapper’s entourage “ended up hitting socialite Daniel Chetrit” over the head with a bottle.

Chetrit reportedly calls the likes of the Kardashian-Jenners good friends and his multi-million dollar family once owned the infamous Chelsea Hotel. On Monday evening, G-Eazy was arrested and “charged with assault after a 29-year-old male and 32-year-old male reported being struck by the defendant.”

TMZ stated that the fight apparently continued once the two groups made their way outside and it was there that G-Eazy allegedly punched someone. Chetrit reportedly visited a hospital for treatment while the person who claimed to be hit by G-Eazy did not. The rapper will stand before a judge at a later date. He has not publicly addressed this arrest just yet.

Pop Smoke’s Mother Speaks Out After The Late Rapper’s Gravesite Was Vandalized

It’s been over a year since Pop Smoke’s tragic death, and the rapper was shot and killed during a home invasion, and his passing still haunts the music community. It’s not surprising how any form of disrespect towards him may cause turmoil. An example came recently, when Audrey Jackson, the late rapper’s mother, shared on her Instagram page that her son’s gravesite was vandalized.

On Monday, Jackson posted a string of Instagram videos that captured the damage that was done to her son’s gravesite. “So, chips leftover from either them trying to break in or from it being fixed to at least have it covered,” she says in the video. “But this was unnecessary, whoever you are.” She also shared her frustration at the damage in the post’s caption, writing, “Whoever you are, you have my attention. Now what!?.”

In a separate post, Jackson showed Pop Smoke’s father cleaning up the damage. The vandalism was initially reported by TMZ on September 11, which showed that someone pried it open. The publication also reported his casket may have been pulled out, as scrape marks on the floor suggest, but this was not confirmed by Pop Smoke’s family.

Britney Spears’ Instagram Account Appears To Be No Longer Active

For the better part of the last two years, Britney Spears has used her Instagram account to complain about her longstanding conservatorship and the ways it has restricted her lifestyle. She criticized those close to her who failed to when they were needed needed. She also slammed the paparazzi and apologized to her fanbase for misleading them about her well-being. But it recently vanished, for reasons currently unknown.

Spears’ Instagram page was either suspended or deleted on Tuesday, leaving many to question what happened to cause its removal. The news comes just two days after she used her Instagram account to confirm her engagement to Sam Asghari, her boyfriend of four years. In a post to her page, an image shows her standing beside Asghari, showing how much she likes the ring he got for her. To the proposal, she happily replies, “Yes!”

The turn of events also comes after her father filed a petition with the Los Angeles Superior Court to end her 13-year conservatorship. Jamie Spears said his daughter is “entitled to have this Court now seriously consider whether this conservatorship is no longer required.” He added that, “grounds for establishment of a conservatorship may no longer exist.”
