London On Da Track’s Comments Section Gets Messy After Summer Walker Drops New Album

Everybody seemingly had the same idea after listening to Summer Walker’s new album Still Over It. The 25-year-old LVRN-signed singer poured her heart out yet again for us, treating the studio like a therapy session and venting about all of the messiness in her personal life, particularly in her romantic relationships. Throughout the album, there are lyrics that we can only assume are about London On Da Track, the father of Summer’s child, with whom she has had plenty of ups and downs over the years. She even had some words for the producer’s mother, telling her that she should have whooped him.

Well, after finishing the new album, hundreds of Summer Walker’s fans raced to London’s comments on Instagram, Twitter, and his other social platforms to back up the R&B star, asking him why he did her like that and issuing warnings to treat her better in the future.

“Really London??? Really?” echoed fans in his comments on Friday morning, just hours after Still Over It arrived on digital streaming platforms. “How could you make her SPEND HER WHOLE PREGNANCY ALONE,” asked another fan, reflecting on some of Summer’s lyrics on her album.

Have you heard Summer Walker’s new album yet, and if you did, what are your current thoughts about London On Da Track? Did he do Summer dirty?

Aminé Isn’t Letting Anyone Block His Blessings On “Sh!t2Luz”

This Friday, Aminé dropped off TWOPOINTFIVE, his first full-length project since last year’s Limbo, and like his original POINTFIVE project that arrived in 2018, the new 12-track effort is one of the Grammy-nominated artist’s more experimental efforts.

Charmander,” the project’s lead single, was shared a couple of weeks ago on October 25, and it offered a glimpse of Aminé latest stylistic shift. Now that TWOPOINTFIVE has finally been released in its entirety, however, it’s clear that “Charmander” was just the tip of the iceberg. The project’s 11th track, “Sh!t2Luz,” is a perfect example of how far-out Aminé is on his latest release.

Sort of like a soulful, upbeat, and far more concise version of Travis Scott’s Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight track “lose,” “Sh!t2Luz” focuses on topics like toxic relationships and staying focused regardless of what drama arises in one’s life, and sonically, it’s one of the more polished and refined tracks on TWOPOINTFIVE.

Listen to “Sh!t2Luz” below and be sure to check out the rest of TWOPOINTFIVE here. Let us know in the comments if Aminé’s new sound is a hit or a miss for you.

Quotable Lyrics

Girl, we got a lasting connection (‘Nection)
You ain’t gotta be passive aggressive (Wanna link?)
A lot of grey texts, you don’t get the message
Fuck nigga, go ahead and run to the next bitch

Rick Ross Announces New Album “Richer Than I Ever Been”

Rick Ross’ seasoned, distinct voice has been missing from the rap game for over two years.

Soon, however, the waiting ends. On Thursday (Nov. 4), Ross took to Instagram to announce his upcoming album Richer than I ever been is slated for release on Dec. 10.

Along with this big news came the announcement for the album’s first promotional single “OUTLAWS” featuring Jazmine Sullivan and 21 Savage, which will release next Friday (Nov. 12).

Richer than I ever been will be Ross’ eleventh official studio album, and his first since August 2019 when he dropped Port of Miami 2. Each time Ross releases an album, listeners are reminded of his his impact on the genre and his trademark lavish production that makes his music so attractive.

When he announced the album cover, which is a stunning photo of him draped in a white cape, white top hat and white gloves, Twitter reacted accordingly with playful memes.

While there is no official tracklist for the record yet, it is fair to assume there will be stellar feature guests, which is typical of a Rick Ross album. Port of Miami 2 saw appearances from Nipsey Hussle, Meek Mill, Drake, John Legend, Jeezy and many others. His album before that, 2017’s Rather You Than Me contained features from Young Thug, Future, Nas and Gucci Mane.

The album is a little more than a month away, but the upcoming single next week should be a good indictor of the quality of music we should expect to hear from the rap veteran.

Are you excited for Rick Ross’ new album?

Key Glock Needs No Help On New Album “Yellow Tape 2”

Memphis rapper Key Glock has officially returned with his new studio album Yellow Tape 2, relying on nobody but himself throughout the twenty-song tracklist. Next to the definition of “self-made” in the dictionary, a picture of Key Glock should be listed because on his new album, the rapper made it a point to show that he doesn’t need any outside help, delivering a solid project without any features (except his alter-ego Glizzock, of course.)

Doubling down on himself, Key Glock shines over production from Tay Keith, BandPlay, Buddah Bless, and others. On the cover artwork, Glock flexes his bright yellow cars, all of which he fully owns.

Check out Glizzock’s new album below and let us know what you think of it. Learn more about the Memphis rapper through his latest interview for On The Come Up, where he speaks about the new album and much more.

Summer Walker & SZA Team Up For Highly Anticipated Track, “No Love”

Fans of Summer Walker have been long awaiting her latest release, Still Over It, and now that it’s arrived, we can’t get enough. The R&B vocalist has teamed up with the likes of Cardi B, JT, SZA, Ari Lennox, Lil Durk, Pharrell, Omarion, and Ciara.

On the project’s third track, “No Love,” Walker and SZA express their regrets surrounding former partners and how they were far too good to them. “If I did it all again/I would give like ten percent/You deserve like half of that/I’ma need my money back,” SZA sings before going on to share some bars about having a designer p*ssy and swiping credit cards.

In her usual fashion, Walker has put a ton of emotion into her new album. “Take this opportunity to learn from my mistakes. You don’t have to guess if something is love,” she told Apple Music in a message. “Love is shown through actions. Stop making excuses for people who don’t show up for you.”

Now that the weather is cooling off, Still Over It and “No Love” are exactly what we need to get through the winter that lies ahead. Check out the new song featuring SZA below, and drop off a comment letting us know what you think of the album so far.

Quotable Lyrics:

Come to find out you weren’t even worth my time
Tried to act like I wasn’t good enough in your eyes
Funny now that you callin’, that you ringin’ my line
What the hell is you ringin’ my line?

Drake Drops Off Haunting Visuals For “Knife Talk”

When Drake dropped Certified Lover Boy back in September, “Way 2 Sexy” featuring Future and Young Thug was the first song to blow. Sampling Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy,” the record assured that Drizzy, Pluto and Thugger are “too sexy for this world,” and had fans across the world going absolutely crazy.

“Way 2 Sexy” shot to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, but another CLB song was waiting in the wings.

Featuring 21 Savage and Memphis legend Project Pat, “Knife Talk” is arguably the best song on CLB. It never achieved the same chart success as “Way 2 Sexy,” but it was a Top 10 record and has developed a cult following of its own.

Last night, The Six God made the surprise decision to unleash the “Knife Talk” visuals, but more surprising than the decision to drop, were the visuals themselves.

Combining a handful of old movie scenes, cartoons, and home security footage of Drake, 21 and Project Pat rapping into the camera like they’d just been exorcised, the Pablo Rochat-directed video is a creepy tribute to “Knife Talk’s” dark sound and ominous vibes. With mouths rapping along to the record imposed onto every one of the movie scenes, the “Knife Talk” video is a perfect partner to the track itself.

Stalking from security camera to security camera with a massive kitchen knife in hand, Drake provides us with a change in pace from the “Way 2 Sexy” video, and gets all-the-way into the grimiest record on the album.

Check out the visuals for Drake’s “Knife Talk” and let us know what you think in the comments.

Kanye West Addresses Drake Beef & Rumors He Had An Affair With Kim Kardashian

Kanye West doesn’t just make some of the best music, sneakers, and clothes in the world — he can also be heavily counted on to deliver some of the greatest celebrity interviews. On Thursday, it was announced that the Chicago-raised music legend, who recently changed his name to simply Ye, would be appearing on the Drink Champs podcast with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. He came through with one of their best interviews to date, speaking on his marriage to Kim Kardashian, his new album DONDA, his feud with Drake, why signing Big Sean was the “worst thing” he’s ever done, and much more.

Throughout the interview, Kanye had a lot to say about Drake. Most interestingly, he talked about how Drake’s levels of getting under his skin are so advanced, referencing the rapper moving down the street from him and allegedly messaging his wife and all of her friends.

Brandon Magnus/Getty Images

“When people went to go get Hitler, they didn’t go straight for Hitler, they set up fake tanks, they set up this and that, so [Drake] is gonna do stuff like live five blocks down the street from you, he gonna DM every single girl in your family, every single girl around your family, all your n***as’ girls, it’s like away games and home games,” said Ye, likening their beef to the NBA. “This is professional rap. This is the first time we in a place of, like, professional rap. So if he throws out a bar right here, it might be a bar, like what ‘Pac said, you and I know what’s going on but it’s all psychological.”

Ye also spoke on a hypothetical Verzuz battle against Drake, saying that he would destroy the Toronto representative.

“It’d be Drake, right? I’m winning any situation,” confidently said Ye as N.O.R.E. and the entire Drink Champs team applauded him.

He also touched on the wild rumors that Drake was intimate with his wife, Kim Kardashian, telling the hosts that Drake would allegedly play games with his family to make it seem as though he and Kim had sex.

“Drake is like, ‘You know, I never fucked Kim.’ But I was like, ‘But you acted like you did. You got bars that’s like, ‘Hidden Hills, give your wife the chills,’ it’s like somebody is throwing a marble and hiding their hand or something,” said Ye. “All that’s disrespectful. [It’s] to the point that Kim is like, ‘I don’t listen to this n***a anymore. This n***a acting like he fucked,’ and we never really had that conversation. ‘Oh, I never fucked Kim.’ No, but what about, did you ever DM her? Everything else around it ’cause it ain’t about just the actual act of it.”

This is one of Kanye’s most explosive interviews in a while, and if you’re a fan, you’ll be doing yourself a favor by pressing play. Check out a few specific clips below, as well as the full interview.

Aminé Gets Experimental On His Latest Full-Length, “TWOPOINTFIVE”

In 2018, Aminé was roughly a year removed from his official debut album Good For You when he decided to treat his fans with a new project. The full-length effort, which was titled ONEPOINTFIVE, served as an in-between-albums type of project, and in its trailer, Aminé even made fun of the vague labels that projects are often given.

“Mixtapes are albums, and albums are mixtapes,” the Portland rapper joked during the teaser trailer. “Niggas call they albums mixtapes. Cuz if it flops, it’s a EP.”

Three years later, Aminé has returned with another ambiguous EPLPMixtapeAlbum, and this time around, the project’s title is TWOPOINTFIVE.

Like ONEPOINTFIVETWOPOINTFIVE finds the 2017 XXL Freshman trying new flows and experimenting with new styles, yet unlike the original, Aminé takes care of business without any guest features. The result is an encapsulating sonic effort that knows no bounds, and once again the hitmaker behind songs like “Caroline,” “Riri,” “REEL IT IN,” and “Compensating” has exemplified his ability to craft the joyously peculiar and undoubtedly infectious records.

“The POINTFIVE projects are the breaks in between albums where I give myself the freedom to make music without expectations, focusing instead of spontaneity and the best of what comes from stream of conscious creation, which is why they arrive unexpectedly without a long rollout,” Aminé says when explaining the premise of TWOPOINTFIVE. “It’s an opportunity to create for my day one fans the way I used to in my bedroom. Thanks for listening.”

Check out Aminé’s experimental follow-up to 2020’s Limbo below, and let us know in the comments if you’re feeling the Portland artist’s new style on TWOPOINTFIVE.

Snoop Dogg Connects With Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, & Benny The Butcher On “Murder Music”

There has been much talk about Snoop Dogg’s The Algorithm, and with the album’s release just two weeks away, we have another delivery from the Rap icon. Snoop has been fully embracing his new gig at Def Jam, a collective that he recently shared was his dream label even with Death Row, and he’s kicking things off with a project.

On Friday (November 5), Snoop dropped off “Murder Music,” a hard-hitting track that features bars from Jadakiss, Benny The Butcher, and Busta Rhymes. Fans were thrilled to hear this team of respected emcees together on a track and recently, Snoop spoke about what else people can expect from the record.

“Algorithm is a project I put together specifically on Def Jam Records to get some new artists, some established artists, and some friends of mine to make a damn good record to end this year off,” he told Complex. “You got Usher, Mary J. Blige, Fabolous, Dave East, Benny the Butcher, Jadakiss. Imagine all of the favors people owe me, right, and I never used ’em. And then I just said I’m finna make a record.”

“Let me start going down the list, and man… Everybody got busy.” Stream “Murder Music” and let us know if you’re looking forward to The Algorithm.

Quotable Lyrics

French Montana Enlists Fivio Foreign For Drill-Heavy “Panicking”

There was a little animosity between these two back in April 2020 but it looks like all of the negativity is a thing of the past. It was back then that Fivio had a bit of an issue with French dipping into the Brooklyn Drill sound without paying respect, but now the pair of rappers are collaborating on “Panicking” with a production pulled from the heart of the genre.

Next week, the world is set to receive They Got Amnesia, French Montana’s fourth studio album. He has been rolling out the record by reminding Hip Hop and Rap fans that he is a force to be reckoned with, and his supporters have gone to battle against online naysayers. French and Fivio’s “Panicking” comes with a visual that finds both men enjoying the luxuries of being waited on by half-naked women.

Stream “Panicking” and share your thoughts.
