Kanye West’s Adidas Yeezy 1050 Boot Coming Soon: Details

Kanye West has been introducing a ton of interesting new sneaker models onto the market as of late, and fans are soaking them all in, even if a lot of them are beyond bizarre. For instance, West recently showed off the Adidas Yeezy NSLTD BT which dropped earlier today. He also got to preview the Knit RNR BT which is yet another example of how the Yeezy brand is going in an off-the-wall direction. At this point, fans expect the peculiar silhouettes and the artist is consistently going out of his way to one-up himself.

The latest Yeezy boot to get some love is the 1050 which has been teased quite a bit over the past few months. As you can see in the image below courtesy of Yeezy Mafia, the shoe is quite chunky as it is covered in orange with some grey trim across the front. These are also done up with a zipper which makes them look that much more futuristic. If you’re a long-time Yeezy fans, these are definitely something that you should add to your arsenal.

As for the release date, these are slated to drop in December for a price of $400 USD. An exact drop date has yet to be determined, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates from the sneaker world. As always, let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Kanye West Reveals His Involvement In Ice Cube’s BIG3

Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league has been having quite a bit of success over the last few years, and with each season, Ice Cube continues to grow the brand. Back in September, HNHH had the pleasure of traveling with the BIG3 to the Bahamas where the league played out its championship. It was a fantastic weekend for the league that saw hundreds of fans pile into the Paradise Island Resort to take in some basketball.

Just a few weeks prior, the league had a jolt in publicity as Kanye West was seen taking in a game next to Cube. It was a special moment that took place just weeks before Kanye began his rollout for DONDA

In a recent interview on Drink Champs, Kanye had a lot to say about the music industry, although when it comes to his time with Cube and the BIG3, he only had good things to say. In fact, Kanye revealed that he invested in Cube’s league, and according to TMZ, the figures range from $5 to $10 million, which is pretty significant for a league that only started about four years ago. Kanye didn’t go too in-depth on the deal, however, he did note that he and Cube are doing good business.

Needless to say, Kanye is committed to expanding his empire, and the BIG3 serves as a great way to get into the sports world. You can read our interview with Cube about the BIG3, right here.

Silk Sonic Reveals Tracklist For Upcoming Album “An Evening With Silk Sonic”

From the moment Silk Sonic, the duo consisting of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars, released their iconic hit, “Leave The Door Open,” back in March, fans have clamored for a full-length effort from the two.

And while .Paak and Mars teased the idea for some time, there was always an issue. As recently as August, it was believed that any prospects of an album had been pushed back to 2022. But within the last month, everything has changed.

Back in October, it was announced that An Evening With Silk Sonic, .Paak and Mars debut album as a collective, would be released on November 12. A week after that announcement, the pair revealed that a new single, to go along with “Leave The Door Open” and their summer record, “Skate,” would release a week before, on November 5.

Well, today is November 5, and “Smokin’ Out The Window” is here, and “Smokin’ Out The Window” is perfect. And thanks to an Instagram post from Silk Sonic themselves, we now have a full tracklist for An Evening With Silk Sonic.

According to the IG post, the album is nine songs, and will feature the three records the duo has already released. An Evening With Silk Sonic includes just two features, Boosty Collins and Thundercat, but there has been speculation (thanks to a Bootsy IG post) that Ariana Grande and Childish Gambino might appear somewhere on the album.

Yesterday, .Paak warned Hot 97 and Beats1 radio host, Ebro Darden, not to leak anything he had heard during secret recording sessions, but after hearing “Smokin’ Out The Window” and receiving a real, legitimate, 100% authentic, genuine tracklist for the new album, waiting just one more weeks for the blessing that will be An Evening With Silk Sonic doesn’t sound so bad.

Check out the full tracklist below and let us know what you think in the comments.

4. After Last Night (feat. Bootsy & Thundercat)

Jazz Cartier, Gangsta Boo And More Join Fool’s Gold Producer Grandtheft On His Debut Album ‘Wild Ways’

Fool’s Gold Records is well-known for curating emerging talent in the rap game, and today their releasing a full-length album by Canadian DJ/producer Grandtheft that sounds like a very promising start. Though Grandtheft, real name Aaron Waisglass, has already worked on remixes for the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry, and produced for artists like Calvin Harris, Jazz Cartier and Kyle, this is his first solo album. But like most great producer-helmed projects, the tracklist is packed with guests.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to make a producer album like Wild Ways,” Grandtheft said in a press release. “To curate a diverse lineup of incredible artists and build out a full project embossed with my sound. This is the product of us collaborating and just jamming out tunes we want to hear, with no industry trends or A&Rs dictating what this sound needed to be. This record is informed partly by living through the wildest times on tour, but also by learning when to take time away from the mayhem. It’s about making space to really create for yourself and let your imagination go off, in whatever way that is. In a lot of ways, this album feels like the culmination of all my years making music.”

That culmination includes tracks with artists like Jazz Cartier, Haviah Mighty, The Halluci Nation (formerly A Tribe Called Red), Flosstradamus, Gangsta Boo and Duke Deuce, to name a few. Check out “What You Wanna Do,” his collab with Gangsta Boo and Duke Deuce up above, and stream the whole project below.

Travis Scott Tapped J. Cole For A Surprise Feature On “MAFIA”

It’s been a long three years since Travis Scott dropped off ASTROWORLD the album, but this weekend, the Houston rapper returns with Astroworld the festival, which will see performances from Young Thug, Tame Impala, Bad Bunny, SZA, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and many more.

Ahead of the event this weekend, the soon-to-be father of two has shared two new tracks for fans to rage to while they wait for UTOPIA, the artist’s upcoming album. The two new releases are titled “ESCAPE PLAN,” and “MAFIA,” which some will be pleased to hear features a sneaky appearance from J. Cole.

The song may show up as a a solo venture from Scott on services like Spotify or Apple Music, but if you listen closely, you can hear the “No Role Modelz” artist rap “Me and my n*ggas show up, you know it’s goin’ down/You know I’ma bring a parade if I fall through this town today/Ain’t even gotta check, you know we the hardest n*ggas around/We still pourin’ up for the n*ggas that can’t be around today” over the Jahaan Sweet and Boi-1da produced beat.

As Hip Hop DX notes, Cole had a long-standing reputation for turning down features, but back in 2019, he decided to expand his resume by working with other artists. “I was looking at it as an opportunity for growth,” the artist explained in Applying Pressure: The Off-Season, his documentary from earlier this year.

“Do you really want to look back and be like, ‘You didn’t work with nobody? You didn’t have no songs with nobody? You just cool with that?’ No. OK! So start saying yes to some features.”

If you didn’t manage to snag tickets to Astroworld Festival, fear not. Apple Music will be live-streaming La Flame’s performance at 7 PM PT/10 PM ET exclusively on their app.

How are you feeling about Travis Scott’s new tracks? Leave a comment and let us know.

Saba Announces New Album & Drops New Single “Fearmonger”

A couple of days ago, Saba took to Instagram with an exciting announcement.

Debuting the cover for his upcoming album, Few Good Things, the “So And So” rapper revealed that new music “is coming soon,” and today, we were blessed the project’s first single.

“Fearmonger,” according to Saba, is unlike any song he has ever made. Leaving a short message in the description of “Fearmonger” on YouTube, Saba wrote, “At the time of making this record I was beginning to realize how big of a hold fears actually had on me. With big decisions to make, I was never sure if I was doing the right thing. Fearing if I was actually doing enough. I’m saying we’re embedded with this “irrational fear”. The song takes this concept and kind of turns it slightly abstract by assigning a character to ‘fearmonger.’ I’ve never made a record that sounded anything like this and part of the fun of releasing music is to create worlds sonically and have people trust you to show them around your own imagination.”

Saba’s message is heavy, but transforms fear into strength, and is reflected in the music.

Rapping over daedaePIVOT production, Saba skates all over the funky instrumental and weaves a ton of real-life messages into the fabric of the record. Much like Kendrick Lamar and Andre 3000, Saba taps into very-real emotions that cut straight to the heart and brain, all while maintaining artistic integrity and pushing the envelope into spaces few artists have attempted to go.

Quotable Lyrics
Would my fans leave if I can’t put asses in seats?
If I log out an app or I lack a retweet
I’m just scared to go back didn’t have shit to eat
Half my bread go to taxes the actual thieves

Lil Wayne Shows Off Skating Skills

If you’ve been a Lil Wayne fan at any point in your life, you know he loves to skate. Weezy has references skating several times in his music, and will occasionally post videos of him practicing his moves.

He did just that on Thursday (Nov. 4), posting a brief video to Instagram riding up ramps and across tables on his skateboard with the caption: “PD! Shout out DD! Chikken bone now it’s on bih!”

This video comes one year and a day after Wayne linked up with Rich The Kid for a skate session on Nov. 3, 2020 in Miami. Perhaps this day helped the duo build a relationship which manifested into the collaborative album Trust Fund Babies released on Oct. 1 this year. The album contained 10 songs spanning 29 minutes as they both put on strong performances.

In the past, Lil Wayne has released skate-inspired songs and music videos such as 2018’s single “Hercules,” 2016’s “Skate It Off” single and 2011’s “At Skate Park Of Tampa.”

It seems that he has even rubbed off on his fellow rappers, as Tyler, The creator spoke on how much he enjoyed skating with Wayne in a 2013 interview.

Lil Wayne’s documented skating lifestyle has officially lasted a decade, and it’s nice to see him still enjoying the main hobby he picked up outside of making music. Perhaps as he continues skating he’ll influence even more artists to hit the skate park with him.
