Amid A Legal Battle, DMX’s Family Releases An Official Statement Regarding His Estate

It’s hard to believe that it was just this past April when Earl “DMX” Simmons died. Six months into a world without the hardcore rap legend has already been graced with numerous nods to his legacy. There was a moving tribute at the BET Awards from Swizz Beats, Method Man, Michael K. Williams, Busta Rhymes and others, a touching Father’s Day message from his fiancée Desire Lindstrom, a Yo-Yo Ma tribute track, and of course, the posthumous album Exodus, with features from Nas, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg and so many others.

Now as the dust is settling on a legal battle, his family issued an official statement in regards to their handling of his estate. In the statement, DMX’s ex-wife and oldest sons are named as temporary administrators of his estate. And one can assume that this was pre-empted by the legal battle between his family and, Lindstrom — who was not officially wed to the rapper before his death. There have also been claims of people coming forward claiming to be children of the late rapper, the most recent of which would bring the number of children he fathered to 15. Suffice it to say, who gets to manage an estate that includes five platinum albums among the eight LPs, seven compilations albums, three mixtapes, and publishing rights to this and more, is a notable assignment. Read the full statement released today below.

“(New York, NY October 25th, 2021) – “DMX’s ex wife, Tashera Simmons oldest sons , “Xavier Simmons, Sean Simmons and Tacoma Simmons have been appointed temporary co-administrators of the estate of Earl “DMX” Simmons pursuant to a decision of the Westchester county Surrogate’s Court today. They will now exclusively manage the affairs of their late father’s estate. The estate has retained entertainment attorney Ron Sweeney of Ron Sweeney and Company to exclusively handle all entertainment related matters. Estate Attorney, Herb Nass is the attorney for the Earl “DMX” Simmons estate and the sons as co-administrators.”

Tom Holland Reveals Details Of Jaw-Dropping “Spider-Man: No Way Home” Scene

Tom Holland will never live down the time he accidentally showed The Avengers: Infinity War on IG Live.

It feels like, at some point during every Spider-Man or Avengers movie rollout since that fateful broadcast in 2017, there has been a mention of Holland’s mishap and how he has to be kept in the dark about specific movie details in order not to spoil them.

But, just as Spider-Man evolved over the course of two Holland-led films, it sounds like he is finally back in the good graces of Marvel Studios.

Sitting down with Empire Online, Holland spoke about Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third installation in the Spider-Man series, and revealed the details of one of the cooler scenes from the upcoming film.

Explaining that he filmed, “one of the coolest scenes (he’d) ever shot,” Holland set the scene for a conversation between his Peter Parker character, Parker’s Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), and a mystery character.

“It’s four people sitting at a table, having a conversation about what it’s like to be a superhero, and it was amazing,” Holland told Empire. “The other day we watched the scene, my brother and I, and our jaws were on the floor.”

While any details from Spider-Man: No Way Home are more than welcome, there has been speculation about which mystery character will occupy that fourth chair.

Fans are clamoring for the possibility that either Tobey Maguire, the original Spider-man, or Andrew Garfield, The Amazing Spider-man, will make an appearance, and we will be blessed with generations of Spider-Men on screen at the same time, but Holland debunked any rumors of a Maguire or Garfield cameo back in February.

Most likely, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is the mystery character. Strange was confirmed to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home when the film’s trailer released in August, and based on the ends of Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Avengers: Endgame, none of the other big-name Avengers are likely to be at the table alongside Parker, Aunt May and Hogan.

We are a couple months away from Spider-Man: No Way Home hitting theaters on December 17, but little nuggets like the one Holland gave Empire are sure to start flowing soon, so keep it locked to HNHH for any and all Spider-Man updates.

The 37-year-old actor was also arrested during the Jan. 6 insurrection for a curfew violation. Beals appeared in Parks and Recreation and CSI: NY during his career.

Confront Art and We Are Floyd released a statement after the vandalism: “It takes a lot of courage to display the 3 statues we are exhibiting in Union Square. It also takes a good deal of courage to vandalize a statue on a global stage in broad daylight. This continues to bring light to our mission that art is a conversation catylist, a place for public discourse, and through these acts we can hopefully overcome hate and find unity for the future. We continue to be inspired to create and display public art to further this important mission.”

During a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Union revealed that she helps Wade pick out his outfits.

“He likes a slim fit. And the thing about a slim-fit pants, if you are a blessed person, a blessed gentleman, I was like, ‘Um, a lot of information there with that slim fit, with that particular cut. I can see your heartbeat,” she joked on the show, last month.

She also mentioned warning Wade if his outfits are too much: “I will give him a heads up that it could be a problem. He rarely listens. And he’s like, ‘What is the eggplant emoji and why is that in my comments?’”

Union and Wade married on August 30, 2014, after dating for several years. The two share a 2-year-old daughter, Kaavia. Wade’s son, Zaire, recently was drafted into the G-League by the Salt Lake City Stars.

Delonte West Ranted Against LeBron James In Police Body Cam Footage

Last week, Delonte West was brought to the Palm Beach Country Jail in Florida after being arrested by police. West was seen in a drunken stupor near Boynton Beach where he was banging on the doors to a police station. Throughout the incident, West was shouting obscenities and was eventually detained before being charged with obstruction/resisting without violence, open container, and disorderly intoxication.

It was a sad development for the 38-year-old former NBA player who seemed to be on the road to recovery since his previous incidents. In fact, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was able to get West into a rehab center, and eventually, the former star even got himself a job. The incident from last week now has many fans worried about his health going forward.

Today, police revealed the body cam footage from the incident, and according to TMZ, it was quite sad to watch. As you can see in the clip below, West can be heard using homophobic language, while also claiming that he is the President. From there, he even took shots at LeBron James and Michael Jordan, saying “N****, I was better than LeBron James. I’m better than Jordan. I was the best n**** to play every sport. Shut the f*** up!”

Overall, it is a very sad situation and we hope West is able to get some help following the incident. He is now set to go to court next month.

Snoop Dogg Mourns The Passing Of His Mother, Beverly Tate

After months of pulling for his ailing mother Beverly Tate on social media, West Coast rap pioneer Snoop Dogg is now mourning her after she passed away. He announced as much this weekend as he updated his Instagram with a string of grieving posts. Beginning with one recalling one of his mom’s favorite phrases, he continued with a few more, writing “Mama thank u for having me” in the next and continuing to make brokenhearted posts through the rest of the day.

In May, Snoop first gave the indications that his mother was sick, asking fans to pray for her with another set of hopeful posts. Then, in July, he offered an update on her health, writing, “Me and my brothers went to c mama today and she opened up her eyes to c us and let us know she still fighting.” It looks like her fight is finally over; Snoop can take comfort knowing she was comforted and cared for at the end. Longtime Snoop fans are aware that she was the one who first gave him his rap name, nicknaming him Snoopy for his resemblance to the cartoon character. Snoop fans including stars like Magic Johnson have reached out to express their condolences, wishing him well

Also over the weekend, Snoop posted advising Dr. Dre to use the “negative energy” he’s experienced lately to “make something magical.”

Aminé Kicks Back With A Giant Poodle In The ‘Charmander’ Video

The pride of Portland, Aminé did an admirable job staying busy during the pandemic. The rapper put out nearly a full album’s worth of new material in the Limbo (Deluxe Edition) and then was among those featured in the soundtrack to the Space Jam: A New Legacy sequel. Now he’s dropped “Charmander,” his first new track of 2021 and the video is telling of what he’s been up to since… well, sort of.

“Charmander,” named after the classic Pokémon fire-breather, sees him expanding into new sonic frontiers as the track is propped up by a sped-up jump up drum and bass beat. He ruminates on being comfortable in his home base with the repeatable hook, “I’ve been chillin’ on an island, too,” and is seen hanging with a new friend: A giant poodle. As he goes about his day-to-day in a woodsy Oregon cabin, flipping through records, cooking with his lady, and chopping wood, the massive pup is by his side. And the dog has a similar disposition to Aminé: Curious, but always relaxing. He spoke about the track in a statement:

“After the release of Limbo I took some time to experiment and challenge myself to create in ways I hadn’t before — exploring different textures and tempos without any expectations. ‘Charmander’ was the first product of that period that felt natural while still being at a completely different BPM than any of my previous work.”

Watch the video for “Charmander” above.

NBA YoungBoy Remains In Jail As California Gun Charges Come Into Question

Last Friday, fans rejoiced when it was announced that NBA YoungBoy would be released on bond after spending most of 2021 awaiting trial for gun charges in his home state of Louisiana.

The announcement came after NBA YoungBoy’s legal team entered a request for conditional bond release, and stated that the 22-year-old rapper “was willing to relocate to Utah for house arrest and would hire a security firm to enforce his detention.” It was reported that YoungBoy’s record label was in on the request, and along with a security team to enforce his detention, they pledged to build a recording studio in the Sincerely, Kentrell rapper’s Utah residence so that he could “continue making music while in confinement.”

The state of Louisiana, where YoungBoy was being held for possessing a firearm during a music video shoot, ultimately granted the request for conditional bond release. However, YoungBoy remains in jail, as gun charges stemming from his Los Angeles arrest have resurfaced.

According to lawyerforworkers on Instagram, the U.S. put a hold on YoungBoy’s release, a second criminal case was opened against the rapper in the state of California.

While YB was initially charged with possessing a firearm during a music video shoot in Louisiana, the “Toxic” rapper was arrested all-the-way across the country in L.A. When he was arrested in L.A., authorities found another firearm in his Maybach truck. So, while YoungBoy was granted conditional bond by the state of Louisiana, he still faces charges in the state of California.

lawyerforworkers, who has been following the YoungBoy case closely and providing updates from a legal perspective, has said that there have been no further updates in the case, but that until YB comes to a new bond agreement with the state of California, he will remain custody.

There have been reports that this process could take as short as a week, so keep it locked to HNHH for any further updates on this ever-evolving situation and, in the meantime, check out Childish Gambino’s tribute to NBA YoungBoy here.
