Travis Scott Promises To Assist The Families Of Lost Ones Who Died At The 2021 Astroworld Festival

On Saturday morning, the music world woke up to the shocking news that eight people had been killed and hundreds had been injured at Travis Scott’s 2021 Astroworld Festival. The tragic incident is believed to be the result of cramped conditions in the crowd, though an investigation is still underway. Travis issued a response on his social media pages on Saturday, writing, “I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.” Later that day, he shared another message about the matter on his Instagram Story.

“I just want to send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night,” he said in a video. “We’re actually working right now to identify the families, so we can help assist them through this tough time. My fans really mean the world to me. I always just really want to leave them with a positive experience.”

He added, “Anytime I could make out, you know, anything that’s going on, you know I stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need. I could just never imagine the severity of the situation.” Travis also promised to work with the Houston Police Department to “try to get to the bottom of this.” He also asked those in attendance to contact local authorities with any information, concluding, “I’m honestly just devastated. I could never imagine anything like this happening… Love you all.”

Disturbing Footage Shows Astroworld Festival Victim Being Dropped On Her Head

An upsetting amount of graphic footage has been making rounds on the internet this weekend, following the tragedy that occurred at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival on Friday. Reports say that while some people were trampled by the crowd, others may have been injected with drugs, causing them to go into cardiac arrest.

Early this morning, TMZ shared a disturbing clip that shows an unconscious patron of the festival being dropped on her head by authorities who were attempting to get her to a nearby medical tent. A security guard, police officer, and another person can all be seen carrying a woman on a stretcher.

The group then asked for help in attempting to get the hurt person off of an elevated ledge. All three men were positioned near the foot end of the stretcher, and a fourth person joined them there instead providing support by the woman’s head. As they dragged the stretcher off the ledge, the woman’s head violently hits a metal grate below.

She is then placed on one of the waiting go-carts and driven to a medical tent. TMZ shared that they have no word of the woman’s condition, “but it looks extremely serious.”

Reports coming out from Astroworld Fest attendees prove that this wasn’t an isolated incident. Some have shared that they spent their evening doing CPR on others, dragging bodies over barriers, and laying them out in the VIP section. “I immediately see that there is not enough medics for this so I relieve one medic of CPR,” one patron who also happened to be an ICU nurse wrote on Instagram.

“I ask where the ambu bag is, where the AED is, where the stretcher and ambulance is, where tf any shit is and they said essentially there is none. There’s one ambu bag, one stretcher and one AED for 3 – now 4 – people who are pulseless and blue. People from the crowd were trying to help, teenagers are doing CPR on people who still have a pulse bc nobody has done a pulse check. It was an absolute shit show.”

As you can see in the clip posted below via Overtime, Kanye was front and center for the match as he could be seen sitting courtside. This new endeavor means a lot to the hip-hop mogul, so it should be no surprise that he would be at the game to support these immensely talented high school hoopers.

While his team played fairly well, they ended up losing by six points to Minnesota. The final score was 92-86 and according to Overtime, Cruz had 15 points while Dillingham had 18. It was a solid start for Donda Academy, who are certainly showing potential in the early going of the season.

IV4 & Jeremih Deliver Sexy New R&B Song, “Stroke”

If you’ve ever found yourself fiending for a sneaky link, “Stroke” by IV4 and Jeremih just may be your new favourite song. The track arrived on November 5th, and received a visual that’s somehow even hotter than the track itself.

In case you couldn’t already tell, the St. Louis born vocalist sings about wanting to be d*cked down, before asking listeners if they ever think about her. Jeremih comes in on the chorus, providing his sensual vocals that are perfect for nearly any R&B track, but especially this one.

As PAPER notes, the up and coming star found success back in 2020 with the release of “Swimming,” and is currently hard at work prepping for the release of her album, titled Get Rich or Cry Trying – an ode to rap legend 50 Cent.

In the video, IV4 can be seen covering herself in suds while washing a stranger’s car, riding a mechanical bull, and rolling around in the pastel sheets of her bed. “I wanted to give you iconic statement pieces,” she told the magazine when explaining her inspiration for the clip.

The R&B singer also told PAPER to “expect greatness” from what she has in store next.

Are you rocking with IV4’s new single? Let us know below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Just lay me on my back
And make me curl my toes
When I get that stroke
And every time I’m mad
You know just what I want
I want that stroke (Stroke)

Tua Tagovailoa Out This Weekend With Middle-Finger Fracture

Tua Tagovailoa has had a rough season with the Miami Dolphins thus far. After a solid rookie campaign last year, Tua has had issues as the Dolphins’ offensive line simply cannot protect him. Tua has had unfortunate moments, including earlier in the season when he had to miss a few weeks with some broken ribs.

Recently, there had been chatter that Tua could be moved to the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson, although a trade never happened. Ironically enough, the Texans the Dolphins are playing each other today, and fans were hopeful that this could be an opportunity to show both the Dolphins and the Texans that he is a great quarterback who can lead a team.

Unfortunately, Tua won’t be able to prove much today as according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Tua is now out today with a fractured middle finger in his throwing hand. Jacoby Brissett will have to play instead, while Tagovailoa will be inactive. The belief was that Tua would recover in time for today, but that simply was not the case.

A timetable has not been given on Tua’s injury, however, there is a hope that he will be back in time for the team’s next game. Either way, this is not the start to the season the Dolphins had envisioned.

50 Cent Slams Starz After Saying He Wants To Purchase Network

50 Cent’s building a solid reputation as a television executive these days. The success of Power and its spin-offs have played a significant role in STARZ recent success while BMF is slowly becoming one of the most addictive series on the network.

Unfortunately for Fif, there could be some major changes happening in the near future as Lionsgate explores options to either sell or launch a spin-off of Starz, per The Hollywood Reporter. Executives at Lionsgate revealed that they were considering branching off following the reveal of its quarterly reveal.

 Michael Loccisano/Getty Images

“On November 2, 2021, the Company’s Board of Directors authorized the Company’s management team to explore potential capital markets alternatives for its Media Networks business (STARZ) including, but not limited to, a full or partial spin-off, split-off, issuance of a tracking stock or other transactions,” a regulatory filing reads.

This, of course, did not sit well with 50 Cent, especially since the success of STARZ is tied to the numerous series that he produces. The rapper took to Instagram on Friday where he shared a screenshot of The Market Watch’s article on the news. “No Raising Kanan, No BMF, what do you think made their stock jump ? I gave them two hits back to back Smh,” he wrote. “These people be crazy, smart as hell but no common sense.”

In the comment section, the rapper revealed his intentions to potentially buy the network out. “I’m gonna look into buying the STARZ network,” he added.

His rift with STARZ and Lionsgate extended to Sunday morning when the latest episode of BMF didn’t air. At the wee hours of the morning, Fif revealed that the show would not be coming on this week, adding that he was off the Internet until then. “I’m out til next week Saturday 12am because the shit people are gonna say when they find out BMF is not coming on this week,” he wrote with a facepalm emoji before encouraging people to catch up with previous episodes.

As fans anticipate Lamar’s next move, 50 Cent made his feelings about Starz abundantly clear after they apparently pushed the episode back. The rapper accused them of putting up episode 7 before removing it from their platform. What’s worse is that this would’ve been the episode that Fif directed.

Starz is a shit show, they better sell it fast. They put the fucking BMF show on, then took it down. what network does shit like that? They just ruined the anticipation of The episode i directed, I WORKED HARD ON THIS. I can’t work with these people anymore,” he added.

Episode 7 of BMF is expected to drop on Nov. 14th. Keep your eyes peeled for that.

Who Is Malu Trevejo?

Malu Trevejo is a name that’s recently come into the pop culture lexicon, thanks to an announcement of a Travis Scott Cactus Jack signing which has since seemingly been overturned (more on that later). The young star was born in Cuba, and immigrated to America at the age of 12, settling in Miami, Florida with her mom, where she would grow her now-impressive following.

Malu, who has been belly-dancing since she was a kid, began to find followers through the app Musical.ly (now TikTok), thanks to a series of viral dancing videos, eventually amassing a following of over eight million; while her Instagram has steadily sky-rocketed to 10 million. In an interview with Popsugar, the star spoke about sticking true to who she was as the key for her success, “One day I started dancing on social media, and some famous people noticed me. Before I knew it, I had 100,000 followers, then 1 million. I was just being myself! And now we’re almost 8 million strong on Instagram,” she said.

Venturing Into Music

With her newfound internet following, Trevejo decided to venture into a music career, having grown up on a childhood of Latin pop stars like Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. Signing on with a management team, the dancer dropped her first single “Luna Lluna” in September of 2017, which has amassed over 110 million views on YouTube to date and peaked at #8 on Billboard’s Latin Digital Songs chart.

“Luna Lluna” was just the start. Her entrance into the music world also gained her collaborations with people like Cuban reggaeton duo Gente De Zona, Haraca Kiko, and producer Jeon, as well as live performances across the United States, Spain, and Latin America.

The singer told People that Instagram was a major factor in launching her music career, with a platform of 5 million followers at the time. “I started like a year ago,” she told People. “I posted a video of me dancing and people liked it a lot and they started reposting it. I started getting followers and started doing more music videos and videos of me dancing.”

Trevejo also told People that following going viral, she had to drop out of school due to classmates bullying her and treating her differently.

“I’m homeschooled because I cannot go to school. There are too many people coming up to me and asking dumb questions,” she told the publication. “I can’t be a normal teen, to be honest. If I want to sing, then I have to live this life.”

Malu soon signed a recording contract with In-Tu Linea, a Latin division of Universal Music Group– although she would later void her contract with the label and sue them, due to various issues with the label, including the fact that she was a minor when she first signed. A year later, the bilingual singer dropped her first project, EP Una Ves Mas in August of 2019.

Relationship Drama

Malu has been in a star-studded roster of relationship entanglements.  After breaking up with her boyfriend Reese, the singer reportedly dated NBA Youngboy briefly, at the age of 14, with a three-year age gap between the two. Trouble stirred when Malu accused Youngboy of trying to take her virginity when she wasn’t ready.

Soon after the argument, the two ended their relationship. Around the same time, Danielle Bregoli, best known by her artist name Bhad Bhabie, who Youngboy previously dated before moving onto Malu, began beefing with Malu over the rapper. The two have had years of bad blood between them, which peaked when Bhabie allegedly drove over an hour in order to fight the singer in person. The situation between the two had escalated after Youngboy added both of them to a group chat.

“She has talked sh*t about me for three years and she always say she gonna fight me and I’m here to FIGHT HER! Tell her come out the f***ing house!” Bhabie shouted outside of the 17-year-old’s home at the time

The two did not get into a physical alteration, as Malu later revealed to her Instagram followers. “They did call the cops on us,” she said. “I’m glad we didn’t do sh*t because I would have been in jail, and she would have been in jail. And I’m not pressing charges because I’m not dumb… I’m not going waste my time on no f***ing body. I’m not going to do anything bad to anyone.”

Most recently, Malu has had ties with Swae Lee. Dating rumors about the two sparked after videos of the two hanging out started circulating on social media. Fans were quick to accuse the 28-year-old rapper of grooming Malu. The singer denied the rumors.

“All these salty a** mfs, I already said and would say it again any rapper tha hit to say itttt wwith prooffffff lmfaoaooa,” she said on Instagram. “No basketball no singer no nun my friend. I could walk in a room full of mfs tha y’all say I f***ed and I’ll ask them and they’ll say nooooo lmfaoaooaaoa.”

“Y’all just salty is ok if u ain’t got no haters u ain’t popping,” she added.

Signing With Travis Scott

In October of 2020, Malu relocated to Los Angeles, and a year later, she announced on social media that she was the latest artist signed to Travis Scott’s label Cactus Jack in partnership with Atlantic Records. A short month later, the statement was redacted when the singer announced that she was no longer with the label.

“Birthday girl I’m so happy dreams come true got signed to @cactusjack and @atlanticrecords,” Malu wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. “I’m so happyyyyy Libra gang #myteamisthebest.”

Sources have reported that Travis’ manager, David Stromberg, reached out to outlets asking them to take down Malu’s announcement posts, claiming that they were fake, sparking a controversy that Malu lied about her record deal.

The singer once again took to Instagram to defend herself against these claims, with some evidence.

“I wouldn’t lie about getting signed to anybody. Things just changed and that’s ok Bc tha means something bigger is waiting for me,” she wrote.

“I don’t gotta lie ask the man himself How many times he said he belive in me and he wanted to help me. Stop spreading lies. I had a 2 hour conversation with him crying and hugging him he knows and he knows I ain’t lied about anything… At the end of the day what he told me a lot of times make me more confident with myself and I appreciate the time I spent with him made me realize a lot.”

Malu had already dropped a new single, “Complicado,” which was released under Cactus Jack Records and Atlantic Records. The singer uploaded screenshots of the song’s music video with its credits to her story, pointing out the affiliation.

“Now if I wasn’t signed by Cactus Jack that wouldn’t be there. It would be illegal, but guess what, ya girl got the contract,” she wrote.

The singer also uploaded photos of her record contract as proof.

No further statements have been released from Cactus Jack Records about the situation.

Astroworld Festival Update: Houston Police Chief Reveals Security Guard Was Injected With Drugs

The tragic events that occurred at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival this weekend have been making headlines across the nation and beyond, and will likely continue to as the Houston Police Department works to put together the pieces in the ongoing investigation.

Thanks to brave souls who have been sharing their stories online, those who were not in attendance at the event have been able to get an idea of what it was really like in the crowd. After making it out of the so-called “sea of bodies,” one woman, Seanna Faith took it upon herself to alert production about the possible fatalities she had witnessed, only to be ignored and ridiculed.

After the news broke, reports began alleging that a member of the audience “went crazy” and started injecting others around them with drugs. Houston Police Chief Troy Finner has provided an update on this theory. “One of the narratives was that some individual was injecting other people with drugs,” he explained during a press conference.

“We do have a report of a security officer, according to the medical staff that was out and treated him last night, that he was reaching over to restrain or grab a citizen and he felt a prick in his neck. When he was examined he went unconscious, they administered Narcan and he was revived. The medical staff did notice a prick that was similar to what you would get if someone’s trying to inject you – that is one part of it.”

Other videos from Twitter users across the net see people sharing stories of seeing plenty of drugs being taken at the festival. “I was at the Travis Scott concert last night, I was doing security,” a woman named Shamira Williams shared on her social media account. “From the moment the kids got there, they was on drugs, and there was a lot of kids that was passing out.”

“People was going into cardiac arrest like left and right, falling out left and right. The paramedics, I don’t think they were totally prepared for that. Kids was dropping dead, man, and they was carrying them out one by one,” she recalled.

Elsewhere in the press conference, Chief Finner acknowledged that although some deaths may have been drug related, others were due to the stampede that took place at the show. “The other thing that’s very important, there were some individuals that were trampled, and we want to be respectful of that. We ask that y’all give us time to do a proper investigation. Live Nation has stated from the very beginning that they would cooperate.”
