Drake And Ye Have Reconciled According To A Picture They Took Together With J Prince

After more than three years, it seems like Drake and Ye have ended their beef thanks to some help from J Prince. Ye posted a picture of himself, Drake, and J Prince after the trio met at Drake’s house. Drake also posted a video of himself and Ye turning up together at a party that featured an appearance from Dave Chappelle, who was also seen in the video. The rappers have J Prince to thank, as the Rap-A-Lot record label founder was set on bringing them back together so as to use their star power for a better cause.

It all started when Ye and J Prince met at the Rothko Chapel in Houston. Their discussion eventually led to the idea of Ye and Drake ending their beef so that both rappers could hold a benefit show advocating for the release of Chicago gang founder Larry Hoover. Ye initiated the reconciliation with a lengthy message he shared on Instagram. “I’m making this video to address the ongoing back-and-forth between myself and Drake,” he said. “Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it’s time to put it to rest. I’m asking Drake on December 7 to join me as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year live in Los Angeles with the ultimate purpose being to free Larry Hoover.”

Ye added, “I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.”

After the rappers spent years trading shots in their music and over social media, it’s good to see them on good terms. Now, all we can do is wait for more information on the December 7 benefit concert in Los Angeles.

Drake Reunites With Kanye At His Home, Invites J. Prince, Dave Chappelle, & More

Are we witnessing the final chapter of the beef between Drake and Kanye West? The ongoing animosity between these two has grown for years, and while they were once great friends and collaborators, some believed that things have gotten too heated to be mended. However, fans have held out hope that one day Drizzy and Yeezy would work things out, and it seems that we are looking at the first steps to friendship—or at least, cordiality—between two of the world’s most recognized stars.

Recently, we reported on Kanye and J. Prince coming together to petition Drake for a calm sit down on behalf of Larry Hoover. Ye read his statement to his former foe in a viral video clip where he is seen standing next to Prince and soon, Drake was seen in a photo with Prince and Larry Hoover Jr.

On Tuesday (November 16), it looks as if Drake hosted a private shindig as his palace-like residence in Toronto. Not only did the OVO Sound icon invite his famous friends for the kickback, but Ye was in attendance, as well. Drake posed for a photo alongside Ye and Prince and later, he uploaded a video of Dave Chappelle giving a speech.

“You have to admit to yourself [that] this sh*t is impressive,” said Chappelle. “I cannot believe I’m in a n*gga’s house. A n*gga from this city that did not grow up this way. Tonight, he brought some of the biggest stars on earth to his home. Kanye West is in his home.” In another clip, Drake and West looked as friendly as ever and in his post, J. Prince added, “What a beautiful night I had last night in Canada. Let’s make history December 9 Free Larry Hoover Concert.”

Fans are sure that this ends the Ye-Drake beef era and have already begun pleading for a joint project. Check it out below.

Quentin Tarantino Sued By Miramax Over “Pulp Fiction” NFT Auction: Report

As he toys with the idea of working on the third installment of his iconic Kill Bill franchise, Quentin Tarantino is being taken to court. The legendary filmmaker is responsible for several favorites on the silver screen, many known as award-winning features that have been scrutinized and analyzed by film buffs for decades. Pulp Fiction—starring the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, and John Travolta—was recently back in the spotlight after Tarantino shared plans to reportedly auction off Pulp Fiction NTFs, or non-fungible tokens.

Not everyone is excited about Tarantino’s NFTs because Miramax has reportedly sued him. Those NFTs are said to contain famous scenes from the film and Miramax believes Tarantino is stepping on their toes because they reportedly own the rights.

The New York Post reportedly took a look at court documents that show Miramax was unaware of the auction but once they were alerted, they sent out cease and desist letters. Tarantino reportedly responded by further promoting the auction. The studio released a statement regarding their lawsuit against Tarantino.

“‘Pulp Fiction’ is one of the many beloved, award-winning, culturally iconic films in the Miramax library – with its brilliant storytelling and unique characters who still resonate with audiences more than 25 years later, so it was profoundly disappointing to learn of this deliberate, premeditated, short-term money grab by the Tarantino team to unilaterally circumvent Miramax’s rights to ‘Pulp Fiction’ though the illicit development, promotion, and distribution of NFTs.”

“This group chose to recklessly, greedily and intentionally disregard the agreement that Quentin signed instead of following the clear legal and ethical approach of simply communicating with Miramax about his proposed ideas.”

Miramax believes if left unchecked, other filmmakers and entertainers will believe they have the authority to follow in Tarantino’s footsteps.

“I was arrested on false allegations. I was arrested before I was even questioned and I knew about anything going on, but it’s false allegations,” he said in a video. “Anybody that know e know I’m not pressed over sex or anything of that nature. I’m not an aggressive person like, that don’t even fit me, like at all. My character, me and that same thang don’t even belong in the same sentence. It don’t even sound right coming out my mouth.”

He said the same about the child endangerment charge he was recently hit with and added he would never harm his children or put them in danger. Beezy also made sure to note that the charge of child endangerment doesn’t have to do with “anything sexual for the people who can’t understand.” He added that he couldn’t speak on the charges or investigation at length, but vehemently denies any wrongdoing.

The Owner Of Ye’s Bear Costume From ‘The College Dropout’ Might Sell It For $1 Million

In addition to the school theme, each of Ye’s first three albums had another thing in common: Each one had a bear mascot somewhere on its cover. There was even a plan to create a line of the bear costumes for people, but that never came to fruition. After 2007’s Graduation, Ye would let go of the bear theme for future projects that include Yeezus, and his most recent album Donda. During a recent interview with Fake Shore Drive‘s Andrew Barber, Eric Arginsky, who worked with Ye’s team on the failed bear line, revealed he still owns a version of the costume that he’ll consider selling.

Arginsky, who shared images of the costume with Barber, revealed that the costume has spent the better part of 20 years sitting in a closet. “My mom wants it out of her house soon,” he said. Barber then asked if he’d consider selling it, and Arginsky said he would. “I love business and opportunity so the best thing that could ever happen is someone from Ye’s camp sees this video and reaches out to you to bring this opportunity back and then you and I are producing bears tomorrow,” Arginsky noted. “That’s what I’m really hoping for. I know that the percentages are very slim on that one. But yeah, I would say at this point I’m really open to anything.” Barber then asked if $1 million would be a fair buying price and Arginsky replied, “Personally, I would say yes.”

Smiley Reveals How Drake Boosted His Confidence On “Over The Top”

Smiley is fresh off of the release of his latest project, Buy Or Bye 2. Fans of the Toronto rapper have anticipated the follow-up to his 2018 project throughout the past two years. The rapper formally cemented his connection to OVO this summer after it was announced that he signed a deal with the Canadian label. Then came his first Billboard Hot 100 entry with “Over The Top” ft. Drake.

We recently caught up with Smiley for the latest edition of Rise & Grind where he discussed his latest project, his connection to OVO, and his relationship with Drake. When the two locked in for “Over The Top,” Smiley explained that he had a bit of reluctance with his verse. “I wrote my first part of the song, like ‘the Prada and Gucci’ — I was just freestyling in the car. I liked that part, so I remembered it, wrote it down, and when I went to the studio, I put that there. From there, I kept writing my verse, and I finally got a verse. I put it down,” he recalled, though he said that when he sent it back to Drake, he said he felt he could do better.

“He liked it right away, and I told him, ‘Yo, I don’t know if I should redo my verse. I think I could do better, but I don’t know.’ Smiley continued before revealing the words of encouragement from Drake that boosted his confidence. “He was like, ‘I hate when you say you want to switch your verse. Just be confident in your verse and just keep it. I f*ck with it.’ From there, he gave me that confidence.”

Drake’s encouragement for Smiley isn’t limited to their studio sessions. Drizzy’s previously stated that Smiley is his favorite rapper right now but that’s been the case for a few years, now. Back in 2017, an alleged exchange between Drake and a Toronto rapper named KG leaked. KG not only insulted Drake but Smiley, as well. “Smiley eating your food in the city along with like 10 other n***as,” Drake responded.

“I was like, ‘Yeah, this guy’s riding!'” Smiley recalled. “It was a confidence boost because I knew this guy — ‘cause if you know why he was mad and saying, ‘Why are you supporting Smiley?’ and all this sh*t. I was like, ‘I like to see those things because it means something good is happening.’ People get mad at that. They hate, or it’s always a conversation about something. It motivates me more.”
