Sada Baby Lays It Down On “CJ”

While Sada Baby’s breakout moment was cut short, the rapper remains as prolific as ever. It’s not uncommon to log onto YouTube and find one of his loose singles floating around, along with an accompanying set of visuals every single time. That being said, many of those singles don’t often make it to streaming services but when they do, it’s a sign that he has something on the way.

This week, Sada Baby brought the blistering cold of Detroit with him on his new single, “CJ.” Backed by sinister production, the rapper puts his humor and wordplay on display while pushing his animated flow even further.

Check out the latest offering from Sada Baby below and sound off in the comments with your thoughts.

Quotable Lyrics
Bro bro put that hoodie on, you better run
‘Cause on my momma, I don’t know what he on
I just know he don’t give two fucks ’bout buddy bone
Yo hoe in love with me ’cause me don’t never fuck her wrong

Playboi Carti Brings Out Rico Nasty At Show After Fan Debacles

Playboi Carti’s King Vamp Tour has made much more headlines than any rap tour usually does. Most of the negative publicity revolving the tour has been because of Carti’s fans blatant disrespect for his opener Rico Nasty.

However, to try to rectify his fans’ poor behavior, Carti brought out Rico Nasty to share the stage with him during his main set in Colorado on Nov. 19, as his Whole Lotta Red hit “Sky” played. The two hugged it out and went crazy along with the crowd, hoping to leave the ugliness in the past.

In past shows on the tour, Rico has complained about fans heckling, being anti-black and creating a toxic environment. Last week on Nov. 13, at the Carti show in Portland, a fan threw a glass bottle at Rico while she was on stage performing. She decided enough was enough, and tried to take matters into her own hands. She charged into the crowd looking for the guilty party, which led to chaos as she was adamant about finding the culprit: “Who, b*tch? Be specific […] who was it? Who the f-ck was it? Who the f-ck was it? Where they going? Somebody come get this.”

Playboi Carti and Rico Nasty fill different niches within the rap game, and there likely is not much overlap between their fans. But, since Carti made the decision to bring Rico along with him on tour, as well as his Opium artist Ken Car$on, he must have a lot of respect for her work.

There are still 19 more shows on the King Vamp Tour, so hopefully the rest of the way is smooth sailing for Rico and Carti fans.

Masego & Devin Morrison Want Some “Yamz” In New Song & Music Video

On Friday, November 19th, Masego and Devin Morrison dropped off a new single, “Yamz,” along with a music video just in time for Thanksgiving. The Mac Grant directed visual leans into a playful double entendre of the song’s title, referring to both money and a tasty holiday treat.

“I know those yams are made for me / No, but I’m only here for, the good pursuit of currency / They say, yams are the power that be (Power that be) / Oh, well, I need to play utilities / So tell me, can I get to the yams?” both of the R&B vocalists sing over the melodic chorus.

Morrison tells listeners that he “ain’t tryna be broke” for the rest of his life, and that he moved to sunny Los Angeles to “get away from Uncle Sam.” Masego decides he no longer wants to be “stuck in a loop,” also revealing that he prefers not to start his day online.

“Yamz” follows the Jamaican singer’s earlier drop off, “Garden Party,” which saw him link up with powerhouses Big Boi and JID. Check out the music video for the new joint track above.

Quotable Lyrics:

Listen
I ain’t tryna be stuck in a loop for life (Nah, all my life)
Told myself I wouldn’t start my day online (Talk about it)
Don’t wanna do, from that shape and how they move (She got them yams)
But is it just a distraction?
Oh, it drives my soul divine (Them yams got soul)

Lucki & F1lthy Team Up For “NEPTUNE VS. INDUSTRY”

Lucki’s one of those artists that isn’t constantly dropping but every time he does, his loyal following celebrates. The rapper has been on the road heavily these past few months, as he should be now that the world has opened up. And while fans are happy to catch him in the flesh, the demand for a new album is incredibly high.

To hold fans over until a new body of work arrives, the rapper came through with his latest single, “NEPTUNE VS. INDUSTRY” ft. F1lthy. The single runs for less than 2 minutes but Lucki and F1lthy contrast the animated production with laidback flows.

Lucki’s wrapped up the majority of the dates on the Wake Up Lucki tour but he will be returning to his hometown of Chicago on Nov. 27th.

Check out the song below.

Quotable Lyrics
Want my heart but its all in a puzzle
Only be with Pit’s and they all need a muzzle
She so pretty but it feel like trouble
‘Bartier tint, and I still see double

Cardi also expressed her love for BTS, but according to her, she’s not the only one in her family who’s a fan of the K-pop group. “I like BTS a lot, but let me tell you something: My daughter [Kulture] likes BTS a lot a lot,” she said.

Asian Doll Asks Jackboy, “We Gon’ F*ck Or Not?” In New TikTok

It wasn’t long ago that rumours began flying about a relationship between Jackboy and Asian Doll. The “Pull Up” hitmaker seemingly confirmed their relationship during an Instagram Live session in September, and her online behaviour this month makes it look as though they’ve only gotten more serious.

At the beginning of November, Asian made it pretty clear that she’s ready to get married to her man. “My problem is I wanna move in together now get married & start a family. Tf we waiting on,” she tweeted on the 1st. “Jack need to marry me let’s tie the knot n*gga.” Of course, people didn’t hesitate to tell the rapper why that might be a bad idea, but she clapped back and let them know she’s going to continue to do her.

Just a few weeks after her bold statement, the 24-year-old posted a TikTok that shows her and her man hanging out. “Aye, we gon’ f*ck or not?” the audio says as Asian pulls her boyfriend closer so that he can be seen by the camera. Following that, they posted another clip together in which they answered 13 “embarrassing questions” about their relationship.

Hundreds of people flooded the comment section with reminders of the Dallas native’s late ex, King Von. Even after his passing, Asian continues to call herself Queen Von, which some fans of the rapper see as disrespectful. Others came to Asian Doll’s defense, congratulating her for being able to move on and find happiness again after losing Von.

Young Dolph, Freddie Gibbs & French Montana Hold Down This Week’s “Fire Emoji” Playlist

The rap community is mourning the loss of Young Dolph. The rapper was fatally shot in his hometown of Memphis at a local cookie shop that he frequented. Fans have been grieving, while his peers in the industry continue to pay homage to the legacy that he built. It felt only appropriate that we included a few fan favorites of his on this week’s Fire Emoji playlist. “1 Hell Of A Life” with Key Glock and Rich Slave highlight, “Hold Up Hold Up Hold Up” claim spots on this week’s playlist.

We’re nearing Kane SZN as Freddie Gibbs prepares for the release of his forthcoming album, SSS. On Friday, he blessed fans with a brand new single — his first single, “Big Boss Rabbit” — titled, “Black Illuminati” ft. Jadakiss. Over Bizness Boi’s gentle samples, their fierce lyricism peaks out for easily one of the best rap singles of the year.

While there was a delay by a week, French Montana did bless fans with his new album, They Got Amnesia on Friday. It’s loaded with features, as expected, but “Handstand” ft. Doja Cat and Saweetie will surely turn up your Saturday night activities.

Other additions to this week’s playlist include new cuts off of Snoop Dogg’s The Algorithm, EST Gee’s latest single, and a new highlight from Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burning deluxe.

Check out this week’s playlist below.
