Aaron Rodgers Reveals What He Missed About Football During Quarantine

Aaron Rodgers’ recent bout with COVID was filled with controversy as it came with the revelation that he is not, indeed, vaccinated. Rodgers had lied about his vaccination status and it proved to be a huge mistake by the QB, who ended up losing favor with a lot of his fans. Regardless, Rodgers is back in the Packers lineup now, and fans are excited to see him lead this Packers team well into the postseason.

Today, Rodgers made his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, where he was asked whether or not he missed anything while he was in quarantine. As Rodgers went on to say, it was quite similar to his offseason where he contemplated retirement. However, having played the first half of the season, Rodgers acknowledged just how much he missed football while having to watch his team play from home.

“This offseason I faced down what life would be like without football & it felt pretty good.. being away from the squad again with Covid I really missed the guys & there’s so many great things I cherish about being in the locker room,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers is a competitor, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that he wasn’t satisfied with watching games from his own couch. Now, however, Rodgers is back and he has an opportunity to get to his second Super Bowl, after years of disappointment in the NFC Championship Game.

JAY-Z Breaks Record For Most All-Time GRAMMY Nominations

Congratulations are in order for the legendary JAY-Z, who has officially become the artist with the most all-time GRAMMY Award nominations. The Brooklyn native was previously tied with Quincy Jones with eighty nominations over the years, but his three nominations this year push him to the top spot.

He may not have personally released an album in 2021, but JAY-Z was more active than in other years, contributing vocals to Kanye West, DMX, Drake, and several other artists’ albums. He has proven to be a strong contender every time he’s nominated at the GRAMMYs, taking home twenty-three trophies in his career. And now, he has a chance to add three more to his collection.

Nominated for his guest appearance on Ye’s record “Jail” and DMX’s song “Bath Salts,” JAY-Z has officially gained sole ownership of the No. 1 position as far as all-time GRAMMY nominations go. Quincy Jones was not nominated this year, despite writing the liner notes for Jon Batiste’s album. Batiste earned the most nominations this year out of anybody.

Paul McCartney, who was previously tied for second place with Beyoncé, passes her with two nominations this year in the rock categories. He now has 81 all-time nominations. Beyoncé was not nominated this year.

Do you think JAY-Z will win in any of his categories? Congratulations to the iconic rapper on becoming the most nominated artist ever at the GRAMMYs.

Brian Laundrie Cause Of Death Confirmed

Brian Laundrie reportedly passed away from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head according to the family attorney. His cause of death was reported at the beginning of this month, and the family attorney confirmed it on Tuesday following an anthropologist’s examination of his bones.

Both of Laundrie’s parents have reportedly been informed that their son passed away from suicide. Attorney Steve Bertolino said that he hopes “these findings bring closure to both families.”

Laundrie’s body was found at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on the day that his parents joined the search. A medical examiner was reportedly unable to immediately determine his cause of death because of the state of his remains. Once his teeth were tested though, it was determined that the body was indeed Laundrie’s.

The man had gone missing after returning from a cross-country trip with his fiancée Gabby Petito, who did not come back alongside him. A missing person report was filed and shortly after his return, Laundrie also disappeared. Petito’s body was found and because of the circumstances, as well as previous dealings with law enforcement, Laundrie was considered a suspect in her death. His suicide seemingly closes this chapter of the saga, despite us still not knowing exactly how Petito passed away, and who killed her.

We will keep you updated on any other developments in this story.

Doja Cat Uses Her Song Placement In A Taco Bell Ad To Campaign For The Return Of Mexican Pizza

Doja Cat, who had a huge year with the release of her third album Planet Her, is trying to leverage her influence to bring back a beloved fast-food menu item: Taco Bell’s discontinued Mexican pizza. Last year, Taco Bell cut the menu favorite in an effort to streamline its gargantuan selection (and save over 7 million pounds of paperboard in the process). The move was met with general outcry on social media as fans mourned the loss of the topping-stacked tortilla in a box.

At the time, Doja Cat was one of those who lamented the pizza getting axed, “asking nicely” for the fast-food giant to reconsider. However, in the past year, Doja has apparently accumulated some goodwill at Taco Bell corporate — or, at least, at Taco Bell’s ad agency — landing her song “Get Into It (Yuh)” on the company’s new commercial for its Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito. In the ad, a geeky cosplayer (SAGA!!) appears to have met their match, until the infamous Taco Bell sound effect prompts a late-night snack run instead (surely, they could have done both, but I digress).

Doja, seizing the opportunity, tweeted, “Hey @tacobell, just heard my song in your commercial… I’m a #TacoBellPartner now. So where’s my Mexican Pizza?”

When a fan answered, prompting her to speak to Taco Bell’s “Chief Impact Officer,” who is a friend of Doja’s — it’s Lil Nas X, by the way — the Taco Bell account responded in typical personified corporate account fashion: with a the three-emoji string of eye-mouth-eye, implying… well, there are a lot of potential definitions, but in this case, it seems to be a sanguine interest in the topic being discussed.

Of course, that only opened the door for more of Doja’s meme-ready shenanigans, as she hit Taco Bell with that infamous three-letter acronym, “WYD?” When the response turned out to not be “rolling out those delicious Mexican pizzas,” though, she dismissed her new playmate, telling them to “STFU” until further notice.

Could this be the beginning of the return of the Mexican Pizza menu item? Wouldn’t it be a weird way to begin the rollout? And isn’t “weird” pretty much Doja’s (and Lil Nas X’s) whole brand? And how does Rico Nasty — Doja’s good friend who occasionally goes by the alter ego “Tacobella” — figure into all of this (they’ve swapped profile pics for the past week or so)? I don’t know, but I can’t wait to find out. Fingers crossed for a “limited-time” sort of deal, a la Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hottie Sauce” collab with Popeyes.

The Weeknd Says New Album Is Like Purgatory & Assures “The Dawn” Is Coming

At the beginning of October, The Weeknd took some time during his radio show, Memento Mori, to reveal that his upcoming albumThe Dawn, is finished.

The “In Your Eyes” singer didn’t reveal when The Dawn would be released, but after more than a year of anticipation following After Hours, fans were pleased to have a concrete update from The Weeknd himself.

In a recent cover story with Billboard, to celebrate “Blinding Lights” becoming the publication’s #1 charting song of all-time, Abel elaborated on the updated he provided last month, and described exactly what The Dawn means to him.

“Picture the album being like the listener is dead,” he told Billboard. “And they’re stuck in this purgatory state, which I always imagined would be like being stuck in traffic waiting to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. And while you’re stuck in traffic, they got a radio station playing in the car, with a radio host guiding you to the light and helping you transition to the other side. So it could feel celebratory, could feel bleak, however you want to make it feel, but that’s what The Dawn is for me.”

The Weeknd continued, and revealed that those celebratory and bleak moments are channeled into a handful of different sounds that drive the album.

Kevin Winter/Getty Images

“You’ll hear EDM, hip-hop, and three other types of sounds in one song—and somehow, we make it work,” he said.

While the hype for The Dawn grows, the fact remains that we have yet to receive any semblance of a release date, and with the sustained success of After Hours, it’s not like The Weeknd needs to be in any rush to drop a new album. But the more he talks about it, and breathes life into what has previously just been a title and a handful of Instagram posts, it’s hard not to convince yourself that The Dawn is just around the corner.

What do you think of Abel’s description of his new album? Let us know down in the comments.

Stephen A. Smith Says LeBron James Isn’t Feared By His Peers

Stephen A. Smith has certainly had his fair share of hot takes when it comes to LeBron James over the years. While he isn’t the kind of hater Skip Bayless is, he is still someone who will level fair criticisms against the superstar if he feels like there is a need to. For instance, Smith called for LeBron to get suspended yesterday after his altercation with Isaiah Stewart of the Detroit Pistons.

Last night, it was announced that LeBron would, indeed, be suspended, and it turned out to be a large discussion on First Take today. During the segment, Smith spoke about LeBron’s lack of ability when it comes to striking fear in his opponents. As Smith revealed, many around the league aren’t scared of LeBron and they feel like he isn’t the same fearsome player that Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant was.

“In my estimation, from the people that I’ve spoken to covering the league, [LeBron] has never been feared,” Smith said. “With LeBron, you believe you can take him. You believe he can be had.”

This is a take that has been shared in the past in regards to LeBron, however, James’ former teammates Kendrick Perkins came out and said this was false. “That’s a damn lie @stephenasmith as a former player that were on multiple teams that had battled against Lebron James I beg to differ! Btw I don’t think Isaiah Thomas and those Bad Boys Piston feared Jordan. Stop it and Carry on,” Perkins said.

Of course, this is something that will be highly debated, so sound off about it, in the comments down below.

Nike LeBron 9 “Arnold Palmer” Dropping Next Year: New Details

When LeBron James was playing in Miami, his sneakers were some of the best basketball shoes on the market. Miami provided a colorful backdrop for whatever silhouette LeBron had on his feet, and there were plenty of friends and family releases that never made it to store shelves. These models are the stuff of legend and with the Nike LeBron 9 turning 10 years old in 2022, Nike is looking to make it up to people with some widespread releases.

For instance, it was recently revealed that the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” would be dropping next year, all while the “Big Bang” model would make a return as well. Now, it has been announced that the infamous “Arnold Palmer” colorway will hit the market, which should make Heat fans happy. As you can see in the images below, the shoe has teal and orange highlights all while palm trees grace the upper. It is a colorful ode to Miami and one that fans will be quite nostalgic for.

As for the release date, that has not been announced, however, fans can expect a release in the new year. Stay tuned to HNHH, as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates on these, as soon as they become available. As always, let us know what you think, in the comments section below.

Barack Obama And Dave Chappelle Are Competing For The Same Grammy This Year

The Recording Academy has officially unveiled their full list of nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards. Notable musicians like Cardi B, Lil Nas X, and Justin Bieber are up for awards this year, but the ceremony also has categories for non-music albums, like the Best Spoken Word Album category. This year, the Grammy nominations for Best Spoken Word Album means that Dave Chappelle and Barack Obama are officially pitted against each other for the same award.

The 2022 Grammy nominations for Best Spoken World Album includes Dave Chappelle’s 8:46, Barack Obama’s A Promised Land, LeVar Burton’s Aftermath, Don Cheadle’s Carry On: Reflections For A New Generation From John Lewis, and J. Ivy’s Catching Dreams: Live At Fort Knox Chicago.

If Chappelle wins, it would be his fourth straight year picking up a Grammy after winning in the Comedy Album category in 2018, 2019, and 2020. If Obama won the category, it would be the former president’s third time. He previously won a Grammy in the Spoken Word category in 2005 for Dreams From My Father (Senator Barack Obama) and 2007 for The Audacity Of Hope: Thoughts On Reclaiming The American Dream.

Chappelle’s nomination comes from his 2020 Netflix special, which has a title that references the murder of George Floyd by police. But the comedian’s recent 2021 special The Closer has been the source of much controversy since its release. The stand-up features several transphobic punchlines and even led to one trans Netflix employee resigning from the company.

Giants Fire Jason Garrett After Just 26 Games

During his tenure with the Dallas Cowboys, there were various times in which fans called for the firing of Jason Garrett. The former Cowboys head coach was simply unable to do much with the team despite all of the talents they had. Despite this, team owner Jerry Jones was a huge fan of Garrett and it essentially bought the head coach some time as Jones refused to fire him. Eventually, however, this came to an end in 2020, when Garrett was finally let go.

For the last year and some change, Garrett has been working with the New York Giants, as an offensive coordinator. His campaign with the team last year did not inspire much success and after a 3-7 start this season, the Giants have simply had enough. With an average of just 18.9 points per game, the Giants decided to fire Garrett today, which means he only lasted a grand total of 26 games in New York.

The Giants will now have to find an interim offensive coordinator to take over, and some reports are claiming that it could be Freddie Kitchens, who did a solid job with the Cleveland Browns a few years ago. It remains to be seen what will happen, although there is no doubt that the Giants could use a boost.

Stay tuned to HNHH, as we will continue to bring you the latest news and updates from the football world.
