‘Succession’ Fans Are Disappointed This Week’s Episode Never Delivered On ‘Tiny Wu-Tang’

Succession remains appointment television on Sunday nights and, as usual, digital water cooler Twitter is abuzz with talk of the latest episode a day later. However, today’s chatter is slightly different than the usual disdainful amusement at the antics of the toxic Roy family in their endless power struggle. Today, there is an air of disappointment that Sunday’s episode did not deliver on the potential entertainment value of Kendall Roy’s 40th birthday party.

Sure, we got pesky little brother Roman antagonizing his older brother, Shiv’s dance floor meltdown, Connor’s coat (and polling-related injury), and cousin Greg‘s victorious date proposal (though Comfry may have just accepted out of spite for Ken’s nonstop buffoonery), but the one thing we didn’t get was the one thing the show’s writers had to have known we’d want from the moment they wrote the words: Tiny Wu-Tang.

succession: tiny wu tang
HBO

Just look at Rava’s face. The skepticism mixed with wonderment and just a dash of curiosity. Truly, she is all of us.

And then Kendall (probably wisely) pulled the plug on his schlocky performance idea (crucified, singing Billy Joel’s “Honesty.” Whew, lord, that man isn’t just out of touch — he’s never been in it). And so we all missed out on what could very well have been the most side-splittingly harebrained of his birthday plans. Fans aren’t happy about it, either.

Ah, well. It’s probably better we didn’t get this anyway. Could you imagine those poor kids having to tour behind some dumb joke from an HBO show? That’s one future reality show we definitely don’t need to be subjected t– aw, dangit. Now, I want that too.

Ari Lennox Says That She’s Been Racially Profiled And Arrested In Amsterdam

Ari Lennox‘s trip to Amsterdam has apparently taken a turn for the worst, as she tweeted that she’s been arrested, apparently “for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.” Lennox’s live tweet of her visit began innocently enough, with a simple “Hi Amsterdam” message, presumably when she first landed. However, she apparently ran into some trouble with security, as just an hour later, she tweeted, “F*ck Amsterdam security. They hate black people.”

From there, things clearly deteriorated, with Ari expressing a desire to return to the States and promising, “I’ll never leave my house again.” Then, around an hour later, she told her followers, “They’re arresting me.” Her final tweet of the day reads, “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.”

According to Reuters, Dutch military police accused the singer of public intoxication and being aggressive toward an airline official. A spokesman said, “Our unit found a woman full of emotions, that wouldn’t calm down. That’s why she had to be taken into custody.”

Dutch police are investigating claims of threats Lennox supposedly made during the incident.

The singer, who released her studio debut Shea Butter Baby in 2019, recently performed at the Soul Train Awards on BET alongside Summer Walker, performing “Unloyal” from Walker’s new album, Still Over It.

Bozack Morris Cooks Up Grimey Remix Of Guilty Simpson & Conway’s “Vega Brothers”

You must got me confused
Big gun on me that I will use
I will put you on the news

I asked once, show me the safe but he refused

600Breezy Says L’A Capone Would Be Bigger Than Kanye Today: “He Would Be Drake Status”

While 600Breezy deals with the aftermath of his Alabama arrest on charges that he was a “fugitive from justice,” VladTV has been slowly releasing clips from a recent interview in which the Chicago rappers gets into a handful of sensitive subjects.

600Breezy, who had already been featured in multiple VladTV interviews, spoke at length about his interactions with Drake and Travis Scott, his time behind bars, and the beginnings of the Chicago drill movement.

Speaking about Chief Keef, Lil Jojo and a handful of other artists and pivotal, early-2010s Chicago drill moments, DJ Vlad arrived on L’A Capone, a promising rapper and 600Breezy associate who was murdered in 2013. After Vlad asked how L’A Capone’s murder affected him, Breezy revealed the emotions he felt then, and still feels today.

“It was fucked up,” he told DJ Vlad. “Knowing what he was about to do for his self and for his family, for his moms and shit, you know what I’m saying? He was a superstar. That’s the reason I started rapping. I started rapping because my opps was dissing him and I felt like n****s wasn’t doing it right. They wasn’t dissing back, they wasn’t, you know what I’m saying? They wasn’t repping LA how I wanted them to so I made ‘Don’t Get Smoked’ and soon as the song come on I scream ‘LA!’.”

Along with explaining the genesis of his rap career, 600Breezy made some bold statements about the potential he saw in L’A Capone.

He was the n***a that n****s wanna be,” he said.” Right now he would be bigger than Durk, Thugga, Kanye. I feel like he would be Drake status ’cause he that nice … bigger than Keef. That’s just how I feel personally.”

What do you think? Is 600Breezy wrong? Or would L’A Capone really be as big as Ye and Drake are today? Let us know down in the comments.

Twitter Ridicules Quavo, Lil Baby, Saweetie, & Jayda Cheaves For Their “Corny” Relationship Drama

Trying to have a relationship in the spotlight can’t be easy, especially when you have millions of people watching your every move. For the past few days, rumours about a fling between “Icy Chain” rapper Saweetie and Lil Baby have been running rampant. The Atlanta native initially shut down the speculation, but his since-deleted tweet has raised a few eyebrows.

After sleuths realized that Saweetie likely shared a sneaky photo of Baby’s legs and feet (that’s now also been deleted) in a photo dump, word only began to fly faster, prompting the Icy Girl’s ex, and Lil Baby’s Quality Control label mate, Quavo, to speak out. “Ain’t trippin we can swap it out! #QCTheLabel” he wrote on his Instagram story.

Posts on The Shade Room revealed that Jayda had double tapped their screenshot of the Migos member’s upload, seemingly co-signing the message. When she began trending on Twitter shortly after, she screenshotted it and posted it to her account, writing, “I ain’t even do [nun].”

There’s no denying that it’s almost impossible to keep up with all the drama. While Saweetie has no problem soft launching her apparent situationship with Baby, he clearly wants to remain as a single man – to the eyes of the public, anyway. Quavo and his ex have had their issues in the past, so it’s entirely possible that his most recent comments could spark another feud.

Twitter users have been having a field day commenting on the situation, with many cracking hilarious jokes while others question why Saweetie would leave Quavo for his rumoured infidelity, only to partner up with Lil Baby, who realistically doesn’t have a much better track record.

50 Cent Announces “Power Book IV: Force” Theme Ft. Lil Durk & Jeremih

50 Cent’s television empire grows every week, it seems. The G-Unit honcho is fresh off of the season finale of BMF while Power Book II: Ghostcontinues to do some big numbers for Starz. Plus, the upcoming BMF docuseries that he’ll be producing, Fif is a busy man these days.

It’s the Power universe that remains Fif’s most lucrative endeavor on television. The rapper is currently preparing to launch another spin-off titled, Power Book IV: Force which will focus on the story of Tommy as he “cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good” and makes his way to Chicago. Of course, that means that Fif will need appropriate theme music to accompany the show and it looks like he’s received confirmation from two of Chicago’s finest that they’ll be on board.

“Ok the FORCE theme song is done. Me @lildurk and @jeremih coming soon,” Fif wrote. “BOOM! Chi-Town vibes. GreenLightGang.”

Following the success of Power Book II: Ghost and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Fif hinted that the upcoming spin-off in the Power universe will be filled with action from the jump.

“The way that New York was a character in ‘Power,’ Chicago is in ‘Force,’” said Fif. “Knowing Tommy’s temperament, knowing that he’s headfirst with everything he does, it’s just exciting out the gate. Like from episode 1.”
