Kali Puts Her Spin On Yung Miami’s “Rap Freaks”

Kali may have one-upped Yung Miami with her new remix of “Rap Freaks.” The rising rapper came through with an equally sensual and creative freestyle where she name-dropped as many industry figures as she could within a minute and a half span, as well as her bedroom fantasies with them. Polo G earns himself a shout-out off of the top before Kali expresses her desire to get with Young Nudy. She also gives shouts out to Drake, Diddy, Kehlani, Key Glock and Gunna on the record. “Yung Miami with Diddy, is it father like son?/ King Combs, I need that 250 a month,” she raps on the record.

Hotboii Runs It Up On “Offset”

Orlando’s producing some excellent exports in hip-hop these days. Miami remains a hub for the culture but the array of artists that have emerged from Orlando this year has created a new hot spot in Florida. Hotboii is a major component of the city’s recent success. 2020’s “Dont Need Time” and its subsequent remix with Lil Baby helped him explode across the country, leading to the release of his project, Double O Baby.

Throughout 2021, Hotboii has continued to deliver heat with collaborations alongside Lil Tjay  and Future, as well as some infectious solo cuts. Snoop Dogg Gives Us Major 90s Vibes In The “No Smut On My Name” Video

Following the release of his very successful compilation project, The Algorithm, 50-year-old Snoop Dogg continues to impress us with his seemingly endless creativity and work ethic. Yesterday, the rapper shared the music video for “No Smut On My Name” featuring Battle Locco and Kokane.

The clip was directed by Peter Quinn, and sees Snoop and his collaborator standing on a large black platform, dressed in dapper suits – Snoop opting for a lighter colour while his partner in crime chooses to stick with the dark side. The entire video is in black and white, so the obvious colour contrast adds even more character to the already charming scene.

When he took on his new role at Def Jam in June, the Long Beach native said that he wants “to help the artists and give them love and wisdom and guidance and understanding, teach them some tricks that I learned in the game — to diversify their portfolios to be superstars.” His latest project is a clear testament to his efforts, featuring old friends like Ice Cube, E-40, Too $hort, and Jadakiss, while also giving a platform to plenty of up and coming names.

50 Cent Accepts French Montana’s Peace Offering

The war between 50 Cent and French Montana has seemingly come to an end. The two rappers have been feuding for the better part of the past two years after Fif called out French Montana for his Bugatti. They went back and forth before attempting to dig up dirt on one another. Fif claimed French was on drugs while the Coke Boyz rapper alleged that he had paperwork on the Power executive.

Ultimately, things have come to a halt in their war of words, as French announced. The Bronx rapper explained his love for BMF during his recent appearance on Drink Champs. He explained that whatever beef he had with 50 was now dead because he’s such a fan of the show. “Man, let me tell you something. Me, I have no problem with 50 no more after he dropped this BMF joint. That’s my favorite shit,” he said. “Whatever me and 50 ever had — shout out to 50. Yeah, me and him, everything is over after BMF. That’s the best work ever.”

It seems that Fif accepted the olive branch. The “Many Men” rapper went to his favorite social media platform where he reposted the clip from Drink Champs, and commented on French Montana’s kind words about his latest show. “That was the right answer French, well handled. What beef, I don’t remember,” Fif wrote. “GLG GreenLightGang BMF,” he added before promoting the latest episode of Power.

Southwest T was among the first to highlight this bit from French’s interview with NORE and DJ EFN. The BMF founder praised French Montana for trying to bury the hatchet with Fif while extending his appreciation for the shout out. “Much love and Major Respect @frenchmontana thanks for the shout out but more so thanks for being the bigger man because we need to lead by example the youth is always watching,” he wrote.

BMF recently closed out the first season to massive success. The second season was renewed days after the first season even began. However, 50 Cent is also said to be producing a companion documentary series to the TV show which will focus on different perspectives involved in the BMF organization.

Every year Variety compiles a list of the teams behind songs they think were the most impactful of the year, dubbing those honored as “Hitmakers.” During the magazine’s annual brunch, musicians involved with songs that were honored come together to give speeches and receive awards for their work. But what might’ve just been another boring industry brunch was ramped up to eleven by 2021’s class of young artists, who know how to use TikTok to turn pretty much anything into content. And with a powerhouse cast of stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Chloe Bailey, Jack Harlow and Normani in the house, what choice did Lil Nas X have, really, but to turn in a hilarious parody video that quickly started going viral on multiple platforms.

Hopping on the rather infamous one minute TikTok interviews that @SidetalkNYC has been doing with colorful New Yorkers, each musician took a different viral snippet to lip sync, and spliced all together the parody clip was a brand new bit of content that anyone who has enjoyed the “bing bong” videos would obviously enjoy. And this video just goes to prove, once again, that nobody — nobody — understands TikTok like Lil Nas X. French Montana Drops “If I Go Down” Off Soundtrack To “National Champions”

Still fresh off of the release of his latest album, They Got Amnesia, French Montana is back with a new single, “If I Go Down.” The track is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film, National Champions.

“If I Go Down,” produced by Breyan Isaac, sees French matching the film’s themes with bars about the “cost to toss all your morals aside.”

The movie stars Stephan James, J.K. Simmons, Uzo Aduba, and more and follows a football player who organizes a strike prior to the biggest game of the season.

French’s latest project, They Got Amnesia, dropped back in November and features contributions from Rick Ross, Kodak Black, Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, Doja Cat, Fivio Foreign, Ty Dolla $ign, Moneybagg Yo, and more.

National Champions will hit theaters on December 10th.

Vevo Releases Several Of Jay-Z’s Classic Music Videos For His 52nd Birthday

In honor of Jay-Z’s 52nd birthday, he teamed up with Vevo through Roc Nation to release several of the legendary Brooklyn rapper’s most iconic music videos on YouTube. Included in the list are “Empire State of Mind,” and “Run This Town.”

“To celebrate being added to the world’s largest music video platform, the network has dedicated a 24-hour block of programming on their hip-hop channel along with 1-hour programming blocks on their 90’s channel and 2000’s channel today,” Vevo said in a statement.

Other hits to wind up on YouTube include “Encore,” “Izzo (H.O.V.A),” “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune),” “In My Lifetime,” “Holy Grail,” “Young Forever,” “Girls Girls Girls,” “On To The Next One,” and “Streets Is Watching.” Jay also dropped the full ten-minute performance art film for his Magna Carta Holy Grail hit, “Picasso Baby”

Additionally, Jay recently released a playlist on Tidal featuring several underground rappers including Mach-Hommy, The Alchemist, MF DOOM, and more. The “Block Party” playlist was curated in honor of Tidal’s parent company, Square, Inc, changing its name to Block. The legendary rapper has contributed dozens of playlists since Tidal launched in 2015.

Alec Baldwin Discusses “Rust” Shooting At Length

Alec Baldwin spoke at length with ABC News, earlier this week, to discuss the shooting on the set of Rust which resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the shooting.

As for whether he feels guilty for her death, Baldwin explained: “Someone is responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me.”

Despite not considering himself to be at fault, Baldwin does say the incident still haunts him: “I have dreams about this constantly now. I go through my day, and I make it through the day. Then I collapse at the end of the day. Emotionally, I collapse.”

He added that he likely won’t ever use a firearm in a film again.

He also said that he didn’t actually pull the trigger: “Well, the trigger wasn’t pulled, I didn’t pull the trigger. No, no, no, no. I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them, never. … Someone put a live bullet in a gun, a bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.”

The film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, is also under investigation.

Tom Holland & Zendaya Joke About How Their Height Difference Affected “Spider-Man: No Way Home”

Zendaya and Tom Hollard joked about how their height difference caused issues while filming Spider-Man: No Way Home during a recent interview on the Graham Norton Show. The two co-stars have reportedly been dating for several months.

Zendaya explains in the interview that, being taller than Holland, it was difficult for him to catch her.

“Because of our height difference, if we’re on the same point, we were attached, I would land before him,” Zendaya said. “My feet obviously hit the ground before he does.”

Holland jokes that the issue made it difficult for him to “look cool.”

The disparity caused Zendaya to have to keep catching Holland every time they tried one of the stunts.

“You were actually very lovely about it,” Zendaya said. “You would be like ‘Oh my gosh, thank you.’”

Producer Amy Pascal recently revealed that No Way Home won’t be Holland’s last film as Peter Parker; however, Holland himself recently remained tight-lipped when asked about the potential for more movies.

“Next question,” Holland recently said Quotidien, according to ComicBook. “I don’t, uh…listen, all I’ll say is that we have some very, very exciting things to be talking about. I don’t know what those things are or what they will transpire to mean. But it looks like it’s an incredibly bright future ahead, and as I’ve said before, Spider-Man will forever live in me.”

600Breezy Arrested In Iowa For Violating Probation: Report

Chicago rapper 600Breezy was reportedly been arrested in Iowa, Friday, after an alleged probation violation according to authorities. The 30-year-old is currently being held without bail.

No further details have surfaced on Breezy’s arrest.

Friday’s arrest is the second time since November that Breezy has found himself in legal trouble. Just last month, the Chicago native was arrested in Alabama on charges of being a fugitive from justice.

Earlier this year, Breezy spoke about his desire to get off drugs and clean up his lifestyle in a post on Instagram, revealing to fans that he was seven months clean by that point.

“7 months clean, No Lean No Pills No hard drugs at all,” said Breezy. “6’5 240 pounds, Gym 3-4 times a week. Take care of yourself, don’t shorten your life span following trends.”

Back in March, Breezy claimed that Tekashi 6ix9ine had tipped the feds off to him.

“Dude put police on me I been had a warrant for 3 weeks,” he wrote on social media at the time. “Leave buddy alone fr. It’s not a drill he is the feds.”
