Kanye West’s Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 has hit its five year anniversary, and as a result, Yeezy is coming through with a plethora of new colorways. Fans have been eager to see these models, especially as it pertains to the MX series which brings forth a brand new upper configuration that sneakerheads can get behind. We’ve seen the “MX Oat” and now, we will even be getting the “MX Rock” which is set to drop next week.

As you can see in the official images below, the upper has a marble look to it. The base of the shoe is black, and when it comes to all of the highlights found throughout the shoe, we have some grey and some brown. These colors work harmoniously with one another, and overall, it is a truly fantastic look. Even the black stripe on the side is a nice touch, and if you’ve wanted something new and refreshing from the 350 V2, this would certainly be it.

The release date for the shoe has been set for Wednesday, December 22nd at a price of $220 USD. Pairs will be available over on the Confirmed App and Adidas.com/Yeezy, so be sure to get set for release day if you plan on grabbing a pair, or two. Let us know what you think, in the comments below.

A Tekashi 69-Based NFT Sale Reportedly Turned Out To Be A Scam

Customers looking to cash in on the viral popularity of notorious rap troll Tekashi 69 via a recent NFT sale reportedly wound up disappointed, calling the whole thing “a huge scam” in a new feature published today on Rolling Stone. This past October, Tekashi apparently jumped on the NFT craze, with an account advertising a Trollz NFT based on his album art in what sounds like a combination of the NBA’s Top Shot project and social gaming brands like Club Penguin.

Apparently, users’ created avatars would be automatically minted as NFTs and could be used to interact with each other via a 2D boxing game with future non-fungible prizes for winners. The group behind the Trollz project made it clear that users would own their tokens, and that some of the proceeds would be donated to charity but didn’t say which ones. Selling the 9,669 tokens at around $400 a pop, the Trollz group stood to make around $4 million.

However, according to buyers that spoke to Rolling Stone, there were no royalties, no game, and little contact from the organizers. In fact, just days after beginning the event, they stopped minting new NFTs, well short of the previously stated goal of 9,669 tokens, claiming that the launch had been hijacked by hackers. The organizers themselves stopped responding to contact from Rolling Stone and the rapper himself, perhaps in an effort to distance himself from the debacle — which it was never clear he was ever actually part of — changed his profile picture on Instagram from his usual cartoon avatar to a plain photo of himself.

“There were KGB-type things going on,” one of the jilted users told Rolling Stone. “We’re sitting there waiting for answers. You couldn’t even type specific words in this Discord channel, because a bot would moderate what you could say. You couldn’t type the words ‘floor price,’ you couldn’t type ‘ban’ or ‘scam.’ If you did, you’d get a message that rejects your message saying that word is not allowed there.”

Another summed up the problem, saying, “Scammers are making promises they’re not delivering on, and they’re doing it like clockwork. Every month, some celebrity cosigns something, and people are getting screwed — and there are no legal repercussions for any of this. That’s the bigger issue at play.”

Considering Tekashi basically went to prison for being a bit of a conman and how little regulation surrounds blockchain technology at this point, this feels like a bit of a “buyer beware” situation. The only truly surprising thing is that anyone is surprised at all.

Jim Jones Hits Freddie Gibbs With The Ultimate Troll Move

Jim Jones and Freddie Gibbs allegedly got into a little scuffle at Prime 112, a fancy steakhouse in Miami, this weekend. Despite Gibbs posting a video the following day and appearing to be in good spirits, reports have claimed that the rapper took a loss in the physical altercation, getting beaten down by Jones and his entourage.

As if it wasn’t enough that he allegedly took the worst of the battle, now Freddie Gibbs is being targeted by Jim Jones, who is apparently naming his next studio album after the restaurant where it all went down.

Producer Hitmaka sent off a tweet this week about everything he’s been working on lately, highlighting his upcoming beats on Jim Jones’ album and revealing the title of the project.

“Jim Jones & Hitmaka ALBUM ‘Prime 112,'” announced the producer on Twitter.

Jones has been shooting new music videos in Miami following the release of the album’s lead single “We Set The Trends” with Migos. With the title of the new album being Prime 112, it’s likely that we will be hearing some lines directed at Gibbs, and possibly discussing the fight that went down.

As DJ Akademiks continues to fanboy over Jim Jones for allegedly beating up his enemy, let us know what you think of Jones naming his new album Prime 112 in the comments.

LeBron James Amazed As His Closest Friends Accompany Adele & Jay-Z

LeBron James and his entire team have seen massive success over the years. For instance, his best friend Maverick Carter has made huge waves with his entrepreneurship all while his agent Rich Paul has built one of the biggest empires in the sports world. The two are celebrities in their own right and have built themselves quite the reputation outside of being friends with LeBron. In fact, the two have some very famous A-list friends, and on Thursday night, they got to hang out with them.

As you can see in the images below, Carter was at the Chargers Vs. Chiefs game where he sat next to Jay-Z the whole time. As for Paul, he was sitting next to his girlfriend Adele. Paul and Adele have attended numerous sporting events together, so it should come as no surprise that they were at the Chargers game in LA.

With ESPN posting these photos on Twitter, LeBron felt as though he needed to weigh in. As you can see in the Tweet below, LeBron wrote “Who the heck are Jay-Z and Adele’s +1s????” Of course, James knows exactly who they are, but he couldn’t help but play paparazzi for just a brief moment.

Carter and Paul got to watch a pretty fantastic game, as the Chiefs defeated the Chargers in overtime by a score of 34-28.

Gucci Mane Reminisces On Young Dolph’s Legacy On “Long Live Dolph”

For many Memphis natives and Hip-Hop fans around the world, Thursday was a day of mourning for Young Dolph, who was tragically shot and killed in his hometown last month on November 17. The late rapper was a pillar in his community, and to honor his legacy, there was a street renaming and a live-streamed celebration of life event this week.

Today, Gucci Mane, one of Young Dolph’s close collaborators, released his holiday-themed So Icy Christmas album, and for the final song on the 17-track record, Gucci pays tribute to his fallen friend.

Throughout “Long Live Dolph,” Gucci Mane acknowledges Young Dolph’s accomplishments as an independent artist and the founder of Paper Route Empire, and he also offers some thought-provoking commentary on violence and how popular culture handles death altogether.

Check out Gucci Mane’s tribute to Young Dolph below, and let us know in the comments if you’re feeling it.

Quotable Lyrics

So this is how it is, gotta die to get your props? (Huh?)
Never get your flowers while you’re here, and damn, that says a lot (A lot)
All this senseless violence that I’m seein’, I swear it needs to stop (Stop)
Humans killing other human beings almost ’round the clock (Hah)
In a circular, circlin’ the block (Block)
Drop the top, this time for Dolph (For Dolph)

Skip Bayless Labels Kevin Durant As The Best Player Since Michael Jordan

Skip Bayless has been offering up a ton of praise to Kevin Durant as of late. While Durant isn’t exactly willing to accept this praise from Skip, it appears as though the Undisputed host doesn’t care. For instance, on yesterday’s show, Bayless noted that he finds Durant to be a phenomenal player and that he doesn’t want to take his bait on Twitter.

Bayless loves to criticize LeBron James, and many believe his ploys for KD’s heart are simply a way to discredit LeBron. Either way, Durant gave Skip a lot more to fawn over last night as he put up 34 points against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Nets won the game, and it had Skip offering up some big hot takes this morning.

As you can see in the clip below, Bayless essentially calls KD the best player since Michael Jordan. Most people would put Kobe Bryant and LeBron James in that category, however, Bayless firmly believes that KD is well on his way to surpassing both of them. Of course, it is a pretty bold take to offer up here, but as we all know, Skip is a troll who always has a greater agenda with his takes.

This is one of those conversations that will stir up a ton of debate, so let us know if you agree with Bayless, in the comments section below.

Bryson Tiller & Pentatonix Spread Holiday Spirit With “The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)”

Bryson Tiller is doing everything in his power to cement his status as the R&B king of Christmas this year, it seems. The “Outta Time” recording artist recently shared A Different Christmas, and just few weeks later he’s teamed up with Pentatonix to give us their take on “The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late).”

The song is sure to put you in the holiday mood, and since its a remake of a classic, you’ll already know all of the words, and Tiller’s beautiful voice pairs perfectly with Pentatonix to create a vocal medley that you’ll want to play over and over again during the coming weeks.

On his latest album, the Kentucky native collaborated with Justin Bieber and Poo Bear on “lonely christmas,” Kiana Lede on “present,” and Tayla Parx on “ain’t a lonely christmas song.” The 28-year-old also enlisted the help of his young daughter, Harley Tiller, on “winter wonderland.”

What do you think of Tiller’s take on a holiday classic? Let us know below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Christmas, Christmas time is near
Time for toys and time for cheer
We’ve been good, but we can’t last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast
Want a plane that loops the loop
Baby wants a hula hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don’t be late
