We lost yet another extremely talented rapper this weekend after it was revealed that Los Angeles-based Drakeo The Ruler, who was viewed by many rap fans as a living legend in the city, was fatally stabbed backstage at the Once Upon A Time In LA music festival. The 28-year-old artist was reportedly pronounced dead after being stabbed in the neck.

Shortly after news broke about Drakeo’s passing, the festival was canceled and Snoop Dogg, who was set to perform later in the night, left the grounds. Drakeo, who formerly beat a life sentence, was thought of to be “untouchable” to LA hip-hop fans, and his passing is a hard one to stomach.

As law enforcement investigates the situation and looks for Drakeo’s killers, a video has reportedly surfaced online, showing the alleged moments before the rapper was stabbed. A fight can be seen breaking out in the backstage area, including dozens of men rushing one another. As the fight intensifies, a group of people tries to escape via the gate to the general admission area. The “Talk To Me” artist is tough to spot in the video. Some people can be seen wearing merch from YG’s 4Hunnid brand, which has led to social media theories and rumors that the Compton-based rapper’s crew was allegedly fighting Drakeo. That much has not been confirmed.

Drakeo’s publicist, Scott Jawson, confirmed the rapper’s passing in a statement to CNN, saying, “I can confirm his passing but am in shock and unable to share any further details at this time. I’ll be releasing a statement from his family as soon as we’re able.”

Magic Johnson is one of the biggest legends in the history of the Los Angeles Lakers organization, and he knows what this current roster is capable of. Unfortunately, the team has not been very good over the past few weeks, and many fans are wondering whether or not this Lakers team can actually pick things up in time for the second half of the season.

Recently, Magic spoke to TMZ Sports, who asked him about the Lakers and how they have played to start the year. As Magic explained, the Lakers and their fanbase just need a bit of patience right now.

“You know, you gotta give him time,” Magic said. “Gotta give the whole team time. 16-13 is not where we wanna be, but we still got time. Still got time.”

Johnson also touched on Anthony Davis, who has had a terrible start. Now, Davis will be out for four weeks with an MCL injury, and it doesn’t feel like things will get better. However, Magic still has a ton of confidence and faith in the big man.

“Sometimes people get off to a start that they know they can play better,” Johnson said. “Sometimes you struggle in the beginning. AD knows he can play better so he’ll put it together. I’m not worried about him. He got a lot of talent.”

Johnson has always had a glass half full mentality, so it should be no surprise that he still believes in the purple and gold. Only time will tell whether or not they actually turn this ship around.

Madonna is in the studio with Swae Lee, working on a “surprise” for her fans in 2022, according to a recent Instagram post from the 63-year-old. The two stars shared a hug in the first photo, with the “Like A Virgin” singer throwing up a peace sign as her collaborator flexes his ice for the camera.

Both artists can be seen deep in conversation in another snapshot. “So great to be back in the studio making music again… Surprises in the New Year,” the pop star teased.

This isn’t the first time Madonna and Swae have linked up on a track – they previously worked together on “Crave,” a three minute and 21-second long title that was featured on the former’s 14th studio album, Madame X. 

While chatting with Variety at the time, the Rae Sremmurd artist revealed what it was like to work with someone as iconic as the Bay City-born starlet. “I was very excited when Madonna approached me. It was dope to hear that she loved MY music, you know what I’m saying? I jumped to whatever she wanted me to do. We chilled in the studio in L.A. Just me, her and Mike Dean just coming up with songs… singing in front of her live, and we would just bounce ideas off each other, it was cool.”

Jordan Brand is making a concerted effort to bring forth new colorways for women, and in 2022, these efforts are going to continue.

According to @zsneakerheadz, one such women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG that fans can expect is the “Starfish” model, seen below. This shoe has a white leather base to it, all while the overlays and Nike swoosh are orange. On the upper part of the heel, we have some black woven material that contrasts nicely with the white and orange aesthetic. These are colors that have been paired together before on the AJ1, but this color blocking is certainly something we have yet to see.

Have you ever wondered how much money the richest person in the world needs to pay in taxes annually? Well, Elon Musk has just revealed how much he’s expecting to pay this year and the amount is astounding.

If your last name isn’t Trump, it’s the law to pay your taxes every single year. Some of the world’s richest people have foregone their taxes without any consequences, but the CEO of Tesla chose to be transparent on Sunday evening, tweeting out how much money he will be paying come tax season.

“For those wondering, I will pay over $11 billion in taxes this year,” wrote Musk.

Musk recently widened his lead as the richest person on Earth. His personal wealth is expected to reach $300 billion soon. So an $11 billion expense on taxes really isn’t that much to him. However, some are arguing that Musk might put the money to better use than the American government.

Considering Musk has the money to help solve world hunger, homelessness, and other global problems, many believe this should be public information. “Don’t try me when I’m outside,” 32-year-old Kash Doll told followers tuning into a recent live stream, during which she addressed the hateful comments she’s been receiving about her journey into motherhood.

“Y’all sit up here and stalk me, stalk everything about the baby to talk shit. He’s not even here yet! That’s why I’m not posting him,” she clapped back, shutting down those who’ve been speculating about the BMF actresses’ personal life.

As reported by Bossip, Kash Doll has decided to name her unborn son Kashton Prophet Knight Richardson, which some have regarded as “ghetto.” To that, the “Ice Me Out” rapper says, “It’s giving obsessed, and then going to be mad when I don’t upload him. Kids are off limits.” She went on while folding baby clothes, adding “if whatever it is [is] ghetto, so what? I’m ghetto. I’m from the hood. Let me be ghetto in peace!”

The soon-to-be mother has also addressed criticism on Twitter, responding “he’s not your child, be a fan of your child” to a person who shared a post about “not being a fan” of the recording artist’s baby name of choice. “How u mad I’m naming my baby Kash when where the hell u get Kash from?” she tweeted a few weeks earlier.

Kash Doll admitted that she wasn’t sure why false reports of her having had given birth were trending, seeing as she’s still very much pregnant. Later in the live stream she once again addressed the haters with, “it’s always the broke and bothered. And here my dumb ass goes, rich and bothered. Why am I letting these broke and bothered people bother my rich ass? I’m crazy! I think it’s because it’s my kid.”

It remains unclear when the Detroit native is due to give birth, but we certainly can’t wait to see how people react to whatever name she gives her son.

Bill Belichick is known for being short with the media, regardless of whether or not the Patriots win or lose. His mentality has rubbed many the wrong way over the years, however, there are still plenty of people out there who excuse his behavior as he does have six Super Bowl championships to back himself up.

On Saturday night, Belichick and the Patriots were favored as they looked to take on the Indianapolis Colts. In the end, it was the Colts who prevailed by a score of 27-17. As one can imagine, Belichick was not happy about this, and he let it be known in the postgame press conference, where he barely responded to any questions.

In a rare turn of events, Belichick decided to apologize to the media today, as he hosted a customary Monday morning press conference. As you can see from the tweets below, Belichick noted that he shouldn’t be so “short” with the reporters and that it is no their fault that the Patriots lost. It was one of the rare times Belichick has shown this kind of humility, however, it was definitely appreciated by those in attendance. 

The Patriots remain first in the AFC East, and it seems unlikely that they will be overtaken. Of course, things could change very quickly, as the Buffalo Bills sit one game back.
