Gunna Previews Hot New Future & Young Thug Collab From “DS4”

Gunna, Future, and Young Thug are all hitmakers in their own right, but when they come together on a track, it feels like magic to our ears. On Wednesday afternoon, the WUNNA recording artist gave his Instagram followers a sneak peek of a new song and visual, which looks like it might be called “IJU,” or “It’s Just Us.”

“Come On #DS4,” the 28-year-old captioned the nearly minute-long video, which sees the frequent collaborators linking up at a party to have a few drinks, socialize with friends and baddies, and get their verses off while they stand on the patio, a gorgeous city skyline taking up the background behind them.

Gunna chose to wear a red and white ensemble, paired with plenty of glimmering rings and chains and a backwards visor. At one point, he and a small group gather in what looks like an elevator, and the Georgia-born star says a few words while holding a double-stacked cup.

The comment section is full of fans begging Gunna to drop off DS4, which would follow his Slime Language 2 collaboration with Young Thug, as well as 2020’s WUNNA, which saw him link up with Thugger, Nechie, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and Travis Scott – not to mention the features he nabbed on the project’s deluxe version just a few weeks after.

Elsewhere on his Instagram page, the “Oh Okay” rapper wished his followers a Merry Christmas while posted up with a blunt, a luxurious long brown fur coat, a Fendi bag, an impressive amount of jewelry, and last, but certainly not least, a flashy Audemars watch. See for yourself below.

Vince Staples Wants To Join The MCU As A Character In “X-Men”

Spider-Man: No Way Home has undoubtedly been Marvel Studios’ biggest hit since Avengers: End Game, and since its release, everyone has been talking about it. Now, just one day after Kim Kardashian spoiled the movie’s big multi-dimensional plot twist on her Instagram story, it appears that Vince Staples recently did the same on Twitter, but the “LAW OF AVERAGES” artist took his Spider-Man commentary a step further by suggesting that he should be brought into the MCU.

With reports and rumors circulating on Twitter that everyone from The Walking Dead‘s Norman Reedus to “I Just Wanna Live” singer Keedron Byrant is joining the MCU, Vince Staples might as well throw his name out there for consideration, and according to the Long Beach rapper, he’d be a good fit for Marvel’s highly anticipated X-Men reboot.

Warning — there are plenty of spoilers ahead, so proceed with caution if you haven’t yet seen Spider-Man: No Way Home.

“Off this Spider-Man they treating my nigga Peter like he like Ruby Bridges,” Vince Staples said before saying that his inclusion in the MCU would help bring Aunt May’s death justice. “They need me in the MCU if they tryna have some real get bacc. Where is the vengeance?”

Check out Vince Staple’s Spider-Man: No Way Home-related Twitter spree below.

Would you be down to check out a forthcoming film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Vince Staples as a member of its cast?

Hilarious CDC Recommendations Pop Up On Twitter As Isolation Mandates Relax

Despite the fact that Omicron is on the rise, the CDC announced on Monday that they would be shortening the recommended isolation time for those who test positive for COVID-19 but are asymptomatic. The news has upset a lot of Americans, although Dr. Anthony Fauci and other health experts have co-signed it.

Director of the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, explained in a statement that these new regulations “balance what we know about the spread of the virus and the protection provided by vaccination and booster doses,” adding that our “best option” at the moment is vaccination and booster shots combined with mask-wearing and testing.

The new regulations suggest that those who don’t have symptoms of COVID-19 need to isolate for only five days instead of the standard 10, although when out in public, they should continue to wear a mask. Those who have been exposed to someone with a positive test are now only told to isolate for five days as well.

When things become chaotic, you can leave it to Twitter to give us a laugh. Following the CDC’s new recommendations, thousands of users have posted their own versions of the rules, from “the CDC recommends splitting up your quarantine over your two 15min breaks” to “the CDC recommends you let go and let God.” Check them out below.

Jadakiss Explained Why Being Healthy Is The Most Important Part Of Being ‘Gangsta’

Jadakiss has been back on the forefront of the rap world recently, after The Lox had one of the most successful resurgence during their Verzuz battle with Cam’ron and Dipset this past summer. It was to the point that even LeBron James was talking about his legendary status after the battle.

Now, on his new show on Facebook Watch, The Pull Up, Jada has the chance to share some of his views on life as a veteran. The show features different guests coming through on different episodes to chop it up with Jada, and during his fifth episode, with guest rapper Lil Cease, he began to pontificate on the virtues of being healthy and taking care of yourself. He even went so far as to call the process “gangsta” and noted that he helped make working out a cool part of the rap world.

“I think healthy is gangsta,” Kiss said around the 2:20 mark during the show. “Everybody want to be tough guys and this and that, and rich. If you not healthy, you can’t be alive to spend your money. If you not healthy, you can’t enjoy the party, you can’t enjoy the perks of life, you won’t be here to see your kids graduate, to see ’em score they first touchdown, to see things like that. So health is more important than anything.”

‘Fatale’ Director Deon Taylor Is Teasing A New Project With Nicki Minaj

It might be a slow week for the rest of the music industry, but Nicki Minaj is apparently keeping her focus on business. Despite being a relatively new mother, Minaj has something major in the works for 2022 — and it’s not just a follow-up to her latest album Queen. In a new Instagram post, director Deon Taylor of Meet The Blacks, Fatale, and the soon-to-be-released, Fear, made it clear that his next project is going to involve the Pinkprint rapper.

“Wait, everything just got different !!” Taylor captioned a group selfie on his Instagram grid, which features Nicki, philanthropist Robert F. Smith, producer Roxanne Avent, Quality Control president Brian Sher (who branched out into Quality Control film and television earlier this year), and himself. “Wait till I tell you….. I’m gone,” he continued, tagging each of the celebrities and using a bevy of flame emojis to indicate his… excitement?

Sher also posted the selfie with similar sentiments, but focused his attention on Nicki in the caption: “Here goes…” he wrote, tagging Nicki in the post.

Fans are assuming that the project will be a new documentary/HBO docuseries focused on Nicki and her career, as the project was announced back in 2020. Nothing official from Onika yet, but keep your eyes peeled for an announcement hopefully coming soon.

We’re nearly two weeks away from the release of Cordae’s sophomore studio album From a Bird’s Eye View, and while listeners are likely still enjoying his recent singles “Sinister” and “Super,” the former YBN rapper has treated his fans with a new piece of content to show them how far he has come.

In a recent post on Instagram, Cordae shared a throwback video of a young, 16-year-old version of himself, freestyling over Kanye West’s classic Late Registration deep cut “Gone.”

Joe Rogan Cancels His Sold-Out 4/20 Vancouver Show Due To Vaccine Mandate

Joe Rogan’s 4/20 show at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena has been postponed, TMZ reports. The Newark, New Jersey native confirmed the news on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, citing his lack of vaccination as the main reason for the unfortunate decision.

“I should probably say this because I haven’t yet. My 4/20 show that’s sold out in Vancouver, I don’t think that’s happening,” the 54-year-old told listeners. “I don’t think I can even get into the country. I’m not vaccinated. I’m not gonna get vaccinated. I have antibodies. It doesn’t make any sense.”

The American commentator has always been vocal about his thoughts on vaccine mandates, also mentioning them when making his predictions about the forthcoming 2024 Presidential election. When speaking with comedian Tim Dillon on December 24th, Rogan sounded confident that former First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris are shoo-ins to win for the Democratic party.

If the Republicans were to take back the White House, Rogan thinks that Donald Trump would have to align himself with Florida Governor Ron Desantis, saying, “that’s the only way they’ll win.” He told Dillon, “I really believe if Michelle Obama runs, she wins. She’s great. She’s intelligent. She’s articulate. She’s the wife of the best president that we have had in our lifetime in terms of [representation] of intelligent, articulate people. She could win.”

He continued, “The only thing that would stop is if she bought into some of these policies that are destroying businesses in America that make people scared.”

It remains unclear if/when Rogan’s Vancouver show will be rescheduled, but as long as a vaccine mandate is in place, it’s likely he won’t be making a trip to Canada. Check back in with HNHH for more updates at a later date.

Lizzo Tried Putting Yellow Mustard On An Oreo In A TikTok And It Went Exactly As Expected

Not only has Lizzo mastered the art of creating the perfect pop banger, but she’s also mastered the art of creating the perfect TikTok. The singer has been on the social media app for a few years now and has already racked up 20 million followers. While she definitely posts raunchy content, like when she used her booty as a paintbrush, the singer also gets real about her mental health struggles. She also definitely has one thing down — the TikTok challenge.

Earlier this week, Lizzo hopped on the seemingly unappetizing yellow mustard and Oreo trend that’s been circulating the app. The trend is fairly simple for those who can stomach it. As the name of the challenge suggests, it’s just putting yellow mustard on an Oreo and eating it. Some people on the app say the taste isn’t too bad, so Lizzo tried it out herself.

“Tiktok made me try mustard & oreos,” she wrote in the TikTok’s caption. The video shows the singer opening up a brand new pack of Oreos and slathering the top of one with a healthy serving of yellow mustard. Once Lizzo eats the unsavory food combo, she looks a little confused. Lizzo never actually says whether or not it tastes good, but she does go in for a second Oreo.

Kid Cudi Celebrates As His ‘Man On The Moon III’ Vinyl Sets A 30-Year Record

Vinyl is back in a big way after a decade of streaming’s dominance, with Billboard reporting that vinyl sales have actually hit a 30-year high this past week. Americans purchased 2.11 million vinyl records in the week ending on December 23rd (perhaps in the pursuit of a last-minute Christmas gift?), which is the biggest sales week since 1991 when SoundScan first began tracking such things — long after vinyl had begun to lose popularity compared to other physical media like cassette tapes and CDs.

As part of that dominance, one of hip-hop’s most popular artists saw his own resurgence. Last week, Kid Cudi’s Man On The Moon III: The Chosen broke the record for the biggest rap album in Nielsen history. He’s also the male artist with the biggest sales week, with 41,500 sales of the vinyl. “This is HUGE,” he wrote in celebration on Instagram. I wanna thank everyone who went out and copped the vinyl! This is all because of YOU! I LOVE YOU ALL.”

https://www.instagram.com

Man On The Moon III, which was initially released December 11, 2020, featured appearances from Pop Smoke, Skepta, and Trippie Redd. Cudi recently said he plans to follow that album with two more in 2022, meaning more opportunities for him to defend his new record. Meanwhile, the best-selling vinyl overall was Adele’s 30, which sold 59,000 copies and capped Billboard’s vinyl chart for the fifth week in a row along with the overall albums chart — a testament to her decision to turn it in several months early to allow time to prepare the vinyl.
