Cordae Continues To Promote His Album With A Fiery ‘LA Leakers’ Freestyle

The rollout for Cordae’s new album, From A Bird’s Eye View continues today as he stops by the LA Leakers studio to drop a fiery, three-part freestyle putting any and all doubts about his rap skills to rest forever.

The witty young rappers delivers slick punchlines and tricky flows to beats both contemporary and classic, including The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Kick In The Door,” Jadakiss’ 2001 mixtape favorite “Put Ya Hands Up,” and Kodak Black’s 2021 hit “Super Gremlin,” which has become a freestyle staple this year in its own right. When he’s done, Cordae puts a moratorium on future LA Leakers freestyles, noting that there are only a handful of rappers who could follow his performance.

From A Bird’s Eye View is out this Friday, January 14, with features from Eminem, Freddie Gibbs, Gunna, H.E.R., Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, Nas, Roddy Ricch, and Stevie Wonder. Singles from the album include “Gifted” with Roddy Ricch, “Super,” and “Sinister” featuring Lil Wayne, while his tour for the album begins in February at the Dallas House Of Blues.

Meanwhile, LA Leakers has become a hot spot for rappers looking to either promote a new project or establish their rap credentials, with Big Sean, J. Cole, Latto, and Vince Staples all stopping by to deliver viral-worthy verses for the Power 106 radio duo.

From A Bird’s Eye View is due 1/14 via Atlantic. You can pre-save it here.

Soulja Boy Deemed “Part Horse” After Explicit Photos Leak

Rapper Soulja Boy seemingly couldn’t be any happier that his nude images leaked online. In fact, he’s been spreading the word quite effectively that his pictures are widely available on social media after somebody posted explicit images from his OnlyFans account. In the last few hours, Soulja has retweeted hundreds of his fans reacting to the photos — especially the ones that say he deserves his “Big Draco” nickname.

One of many rappers to use OnlyFans as a side venture to make some extra cash, Soulja Boy, unfortunately, suffered a photo leak after one of his subscribers allegedly screenshotted his explicit shots and posted them on Twitter. Several photos leaked, including one of the rapper in his underwear, and another of him pulling down the waistband. Because of the nature of these images, we will not include them in the article… but they’re out there.

The 31-year-old artist seemingly isn’t bothered at all about the leak, treating this moment as a promotional tool and sharing the official link to his OnlyFans, where he will likely see a follower boom throughout the next few days. Check out some of the reactions that Soulja Boy has retweeted below.

Coachella 2022 Reportedly Confirms Ye, Harry Styles, And Billie Eilish As Headliners

By the time Coachella officially opens their gates to gleeful music lovers this spring, it will have been three years since the last time the Indio, California festival took place. As one of the more buzzworthy music events of the year, there had been much speculation about which performers organizers would book to headline the anticipated 2022 event. Rumors alleged that musicians like Billie Eilish and Ye would be invited to headline in addition to Swedish House Mafia, but fans weren’t sure who the fourth closing act would be. On Wednesday, Coachella organizers reportedly confirmed that, along with Billie Eilish, Ye, and Swedish House Mafia, Harry Styles will be invited to headline their 2022 iteration.

The report comes through Billboard, which claims to have received confirmation from a source at Coachella. Apparently, a poster was making the rounds on the internet which alleged headliners Ye, Eilish, Styles, and Swedish House Mafia.

It wouldn’t be the first time some of the musicians have taken the Coachella stage. Eilish performed music from her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? at Coachella 2019. Meanwhile, Ye was invited to take over a nearby field to share an installment of his Sunday Service gospel event.

Coachella 2022 will once again take place over two weekends to accommodate for the massive number of music fans who hope to attend. It kicks off the weekend of April 15 to 17 and continues the next weekend, April 22 to 24. Tickets sold out pretty much as soon as they were made available, but fans can still join a waitlist in hopes of securing a ticket.

Meek Mill Donates $15M To Philadelphia Schools Alongside Kevin Hart And Michael Rubin

Even before a global pandemic knocked the education world on its hindquarters, some school systems were already hard-hit by budget issues — districts like Philadelphia providing some of the best examples. However, local celebrities are pitching in to make a difference. Today, Philadelphian rapper Meek Mill, along with hometown comic hero Kevin Hart and 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, announced plans to donate $15 million to 110 Philadelphia schools for the 2022-2023 school year.

The $15 million figure marks a huge jump from the last big donation Meek and Rubin made in 2020 when they created a $2 million scholarship fund to help students through the pandemic and coinciding lockdowns. It also sees the partners following through on a commitment they made in 2019. During an interview on The Breakfast Club, Rubin said, “We care about education a lot. I don’t know if you guys saw, Meek and I have been talking a lot about education. We’re actually gonna commit, between Meek and I in Pennsylvania, millions of dollars to Pennsylvania schools this year.”

Meek himself has worked for years to give back to his hometown, partnering with Puma to revitalize local basketball courts, and organizing backpack and school supply giveaways. Although he was knocked in 2020 for being cheap toward some kids who were selling water, it looks like he really is trying to make good on his promises for the city’s youth.

Kanye West’s “Hurricanes” Is The First “Donda” Single To Go Platinum

Kanye West slid through at the end of the summer with the release of Donda. His latest opus marked his 10th studio album in his illustrious career, and once again, he brought the Avengers of the rap game through to bring the project to life. Donda includes appearances from Jay Electronica, Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, and so many more but it was the single, “Hurricane” that fans anticipated the most.

Though several versions of the record appeared over the summer, Kanye finalized the single with contributions from The Weeknd, who handles the hook, and Lil Baby. Needless to say, the song was poised to be a smash and its recent RIAA certification says as much. After peaking at #6 on the Hot 100, the rapper’s single has officially hit platinum status, along with the Cruel Summer remix of Chief Keef’s “Don’t Like” ft. Jadakiss, Big Sean, and Pusha T. Additionally, Kanye also secured a third certification for “Jail” ft. Jay-Z, which is now certified gold.

It appears that Kanye West is already preparing for the album’s sequel. Steven Victor previously stated that Donda 2 is currently in the works. Though Ye’s been preoccupied with his attempts to win Kim Kardashian back, he was recently spotted in the studio with Moneybagg Yo, Antonio Brown, and the Game in what could be a collaboration for Donda 2.
