Uncle Sam wants Kanye West, and he is not interested in the Vultures album. According to Daily Mail, Kanye West owes over $1 million in taxes to the state of California. The money is connected to his Yeezy brand and properties in Calabasas.
Yeezy Apparel had accumulated $934,033.56 in debt due to four currently active tax liens. In 2023, the California Franchise Tax Board made the latest effort to recover $319,356.58 from Kanye West’s company. This particular lien pertained to unpaid taxes from October 2021 to March 2022.
In addition, Ye owed $101,093 in unpaid taxes on the Calabasas properties after he stopped paying taxes on an apartment and mansion he purchased with Kim Kardashian. Ye was awarded both homes in their divorce.
While the tax bills were rolling in, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign got matching tattoos to celebrate their forthcoming album. California tatto artist Tat2Nene inked the Japanese Yen and U.S. Dollar piece on both artists, the moniker of the Vultures album leaders.
