E-40 recently had a bit of an incident with the Sacramento Kings. Although he was minding his business during Game 1, he was ultimately kicked out of the arena. Subsequently, the legendary Bay Area rapper accused the team of racial bias. Of course, the Kings took that accusation very seriously and immediately launched an investigation. Now, the series is headed back to San Francisco, and E-40 is going to be in the stands. This is where he will be cheering on his favorite team.
In fact, E-40 has just dropped a brand new song in support of the Warriors, as well as all other Bay Area sports teams. This new track is simply called “Front Row 40” and it is an homage to how he is always sitting front row at football and basketball games. Moreover, he even professes his love for hockey and baseball. Overall, it is the perfect song for the playoffs, which may even act as an anthem of sorts for the Warriors. God knows they need it.
E-40 Demonstrates His Love Of Sports
As for the situation with the Kings, all of that has been handled. In a joint statement today, the Kings and E-40 claimed this was all a misunderstanding. Hopefully, they will welcome him back to Sacramento, if the series extends that far. “After a series of thoughtful and transparent conversations, both parties agree that there was a miscommunication regarding the circumstances that occurred during the Kings vs. Warriors game on Saturday night,” the statement reads. “Contrary to speculation, Mr. Earl “E-40″ Stevens did not stand excessively from his ticketed courtside seat; the outcome resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding between two parties.”
As for whether or not this song was always going to come out, that remains to be seen. Either way, E-40 has taken a negative situation and turned it into a positive one.
