Drake Announces New Single “Search & Rescue”

Drake’s coming through with new heat for the weekend. The Her Loss rapper has been steadily hinting at the release of Scary Hours 3. Though he hasn’t set a release date, several snippets of new music have emerged. Last week, the rapper shared a new single titled, “Rescue Me,” which caused quite a stir. The song, which samples Kim Kardashian’s voice, spurred speculation that The Boy was going at Kanye’s neck, again. Dennis Graham, Drake’s dad, confirmed that wasn’t the case.

Regardless of the perceived diss, fans agree that Drake has another hit on his hand. Yeat’s go-to producer, BNXY, who works closely with Yeat, holds down the production alongside SadPony on the record, which debuted on OVO Sound Radio last Friday. Though it’s not uncommon for Drake to premiere new music and then keep it in the stash, that’s not the case with “Rescue Me.” The rapper hit the ‘Gram on Thursday afternoon to confirm that the song, which is actually titled “Search & Rescue,” would officially be available on streaming services at midnight.

Drake Drops New Single

Drizzy’s upcoming single will mark his first solo release of the year, as well as his first official drop since he teamed up with 21 Savage for Her Loss. Given that Drake doesn’t necessarily release music without a purpose, one could only hope that it leads to something bigger. Whether it’s Scary Hours or a new project, it seems like something’s in the pipeline to dominate summer 2023. It’s unclear what that might be but at least, we’ll have some new music from Drake to ride out to for the coming weeks.

Beyond his upcoming single, Drake’s preparing to hit the road for his upcoming It’s All A Blur tour with 21 Savage. The rapper announced the tour a few weeks back but he’s prepared for the summer-long run with a spree of performances across the Americas. He delivered a handful of concerts in Latin America and most recently, joined J. Cole for Dreamville Festival, where the co-headlined the final night and brought out a slew of guests.
