DJ Envy Responds To Gunplay & GoFundMe Comments

DJ Envy has responded to Gunplay calling him out on social media over comments he made about the rapper having a GoFundMe. Envy had brought it up while discussing his feud with Rick Ross, claiming that Ross didn’t contribute to the campaign. Gunplay demanded a public apology afterward. Envy addressed the incident during an episode of The Breakfast Club on Tuesday morning.

“I didn’t mention his wife and child, and I didn’t put the information about his GoFundMe, he did. I didn’t let that cat out the bag,” Envy said. “He talked about it. It was something that was a story that was reported. So, I didn’t talk about any of that.”

Envy continued: “When Gunplay called me, because he’s a friend to the room and he was upset at first, you can tell he was upset at first, I’m like ‘he’s a friend’ so like speaking to any friend who’s upset, so I let him go. I let him vent and afterwards we had a discussion and said ‘If your wife was offended, that wasn’t my intent and I apologize.’”

Gunplay originally posted a video of a phone call with Envy on social media, earlier this week. “What I had to do with anything, man? And my wife posting a GoFundMe?” Gunplay asked Envy. “My baby was sick. She had a heart defect. That has nothing to do with cars. You know I’ll slap the sh*t out you.”

DJ Envy Responds To Gunplay

Envy and Rick Ross have been feuding for weeks as they both host car shows. Ross had initially called out Envy during an appearance on Drink Champs, noting that the two aren’t on the same level. Envy fired back by bringing up Ross’ past experience as a correctional officer, even wearing an entire uniform on The Breakfast Club to troll the rapper.
