Chris Brown Pauses Performance After Fan Passes Out

Ever since venues have opened back up for public performances, artists and their teams have held safety as the main priority. Whether dealing with crowd control or one-off fans, there’s been an uptick in videos of performers figuratively checking the temperatures of their attendees all around the world. The same can be said for Chris Brown, who stopped his latest show for a fan in need out in the UK. The moment occurred last night (Feb 19.) during the European leg of his Under the Influence tour.

This morning, The Shade Room uploaded a clip of the Virginia-born superstar from his latest show Sunday in Birmingham, England. While crooning along to his hit “C.A.B. (Catch A Body)” featuring NY’s Fivio Foreign, Brown immediately paused and asked his crew to cut the music. He questioned, “Somebody pass out right there?” before asking fans to pass their fellow showgoer some water. The crowd and Breezy’s dancers applauded his efforts in the seconds that followed before he continued on.

Chris Brown Checks On Fan

“Travis done put the fear of GOD in these artists cuz they do not play no more,” @jenniferbcharles notably shared in the comments with a weary emoji. The comment stands out amongst the thousand others echoing the same sentiment. The statement makes mention of the deadly Astroworld Festival that took place in 2021. This is where multiple lives were taken due to an overbearing crowd surge while Travis Scott performed. Since, artists such as SZA have halted their shows at the sight of one person in harm’s way. Kehlani did the same with her set after multiple guests were sent to the hospital in 2022. She concluded the Philadelphia show by letting fans know she didn’t feel as if anyone was “safe” in the moment.

Outside of his applaudable motion, Chris Brown has been making headlines this past week for events not as flattering. After the announcement of his and Beyoncé protege Chloe Bailey’s upcoming single, fans and critics alike shouted their praise and disdain, respectively, across all social media platforms. This led to an outburst from Breezy himself. He even compared his relationship history to the present-day volatile dealings from rappers and couple Chrisean and Blueface.
