At the time of arrest, Beezy released a statement on Instagram:
“Y’all just gotta stop playing on my name, you know what I’m saying? I was arrested on false allegations. I was arrested before I was even questioned and I knew about anything that was going on, but it’s false allegations. Everybody that knows me knows that I’m not pressed over sex or anything of that nature. I ain’t no aggressive person, like, that don’t even fit me, at all.”
Rapper Yella Beezy has been arrested — again. This time, for not paying his bail in full following his arrest in November 2021, according to The Shade Room (via HipHopDX).
Beezy was arrested late last year following charges of an alleged sexual assault, felony sexual assault, felony abandoned endangered child, and misdemeanor unlawful carrying a weapon. He was held in Collin County jail, but later released on a $50,000 bond. He was arrested Wednesday night in relation to the sexual assault charge and is currently being held on a $1 million bond. According to records, police had a warrant out for Beezy for “bond held insufficient.” Since his November 2021 arrest, Beezy has insisted that he is innocent.
“I was arrested on false allegations,” said Beezy in a video. “I was arrested before I was even questioned and I knew about anything going on, but it’s false allegations. Anybody that know me know I’m not pressed over sex or anything of that nature. I’m not an aggressive person like, that don’t even fit me, like at all. My character, me and that same thang don’t even belong in the same sentence. It don’t even sound right coming out my mouth.”

Yella Beezy weather the storms of his relationship in the new single “Who Do,” accompanied by a music video.
Showing no signs of slowing down with already his third single release of 2022, which comes with the announcement of his new deal with Asylum Records last November.
In the follow-up to last month’s single, “Talk My Sh*t,” Beezy reassures his love interest of the payoff that comes with enduring his controversy.
In the video, Yella shares a romantic evening around the mansion with lover as he showers her with love and affection, while she returns the attention, flaunting sexy lingerie. While his lady appreciates the love, Beezy raps about their bright future, including trips, family and more. Over the blue light special plays signature guitar refs and bass, produced by Jay The Great.
Beezy’s “I Guess,” “Talk My Sh*t,” and “Who Do” are set to appear on his upcoming album, which will be his first under Asylum. The album will be the follow-up to his 2019 project Baccend Beezy featuring Too Short, NLE Choppa, Chris Brown and Young Thug.
Uncommon for an artist to release so much new music ahead of the forthcoming album, but Asylum appears to have a lot invested in Baccend Beezy. “…He’s built an incredible brand and catalog over the last several years. We look forward to continuing his trajectory to global superstardom,” said Dallas Martin, Asylum Records President.

Yella Beezy had a pretty successful 2021. The rapper kicked things off with “Star,” his single with Houston upstart Erica Banks. Later he collaborated with Wale and Maxo Kream for the former’s single “Down South,” which appeared on Wale’s album Folarin II. Now he’s kicking off the new year with his new single “Talk My Sh*t.”
It arrives with a lavish video that captures Yella Beezy’s exuberant demeanor. He fills a mansion with a cast of women wearing nothing but bikinis while he stands tall to lay off a collection of boastful lines. “These n****s got the motherf*ckin’ nerve, I’d think before you cross, stay on the motherf*ckin’ curb,” he raps at one point. “Got the trap, tell them come and get your ass served.”
While Beezy has been doing well musically lately, he’s also found himself in legal trouble. Back in November, he was arrested and charged with felony sexual assault, felony abandoned endangered child, and misdemeanor unlawful carrying a weapon. This came after he was arrested in February over that same year on a weapons charge.

If you’re going to make a video for a song called “Down South” featuring Houston hard-hitter Maxo Kream and Dallas star Yella Beezy, it’s only right that you make that video a blowout celebration of all things Texas car culture. That’s exactly what Wale does for his Paul Wall-sampling single from Folarin II, throwing a parking lot party with all the candy paint, hydraulics, and horsepower he could fit into four minutes.
The video is also crammed with legends of Texas hip-hop, including Bun B, Slim Thug, and more. As the trio’s guests gyrate to the no-doubt booming bass from the circled-up, showstopping slabs, the rappers perform their verses and sip from styrofoam cups, completing the image of a good, old-fashioned Texas shindig. Interestingly, “Down South” is the third video from the Folarin II rollout, but it was the first single. Wale also dropped videos for “Poke It Out,” featuring J. Cole, and “Angles” with Chris Brown.
