Kanye West To Pay $300K After Losing Yeezy SHDZ Lawsuit

Kanye West and his Yeezy brand have certainly gone through their fair share of issues over the last little while. Overall, it mostly started with his crusade against Jewish people. Ultimately, Kanye’s rantings and ravings subsequently led to him being dropped by Adidas. Consequently, he lost a lot of his funding, and the brand hasn’t done much since. Moreover, he has faced quite a few lawsuits from previous employees. More recently, according to HipHopDX, he lost a lawsuit filed by a creative director who worked on his YZY SHDZ campaign.

As the story goes, Katelyn Mooney was contracted to do a last-minute photoshoot for the campaign. This shoot took place on September 13th, and Mooney was able to complete the necessary work without any issues. However, as she alleges, Kanye West never paid her the agreed-upon amount. The amount in question was a whopping $110,000. Instead, Kanye only paid her $15,000, which led to the lawsuit.

“Ms. Mooney was to be fully responsible for every aspect of the photo shoot, including but not limited to hiring models, reserving studio space, procuring lighting, catering, pre-production, and post-production,” the lawsuit explains. “Yeezy had no issues with Ms. Mooney’s work or the final delivered product.” Interestingly enough, Mooney was only seeking $110K in the lawsuit. However, a judge decided that Ye will have to pay $300K instead. Reports from The New York Post reveal that $95K is for actual damages, while $205K is for statutory damage. Needless to say, things are not going well for Kanye and the Yeezy imprint.

To make matters worse here, Ye never responded to the lawsuit when it was first brought across his desk. Overall, this led to a bad outcome for him. The judge was not forgiving of his lack of urgency, and now, Mooney will be getting triple what she was originally supposed to be paid. It remains to be seen how Ye will react to this decision. Stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from the sneaker world.

Kanye West Cops New Yeezy Office Right Next Door To Adidas: Report

Kanye West and his relationship with Adidas came to an end last year after a meltdown on social media. Overall, it was clear that Ye wanted out of his deal. However, he went about all of this in the worst way possible. From a crusade against Jewish people to various associations with white supremacists, Ye jumped off the deep end. It was extremely difficult to watch, and at this point, very few people want to be associated with the artist. Regardless, he is still trying to move forward with his endeavors.

For instance, Kanye West is still very much involved in Yeezy, which is now independent. Unfortunately for Ye, there is a lot going wrong right now. The brand is facing lawsuits from previous employees. Additionally, they were kicked out of their previous office for not paying the rent. Now, however, it is being reported by Donda Times on Twitter that Kanye has a new office for his brand. That said, he has decided to troll his previous employer with the new office. Below, you can see what we mean.

A New Yeezy Office Emerges Thanks To Kanye West

Essentially, the new Yeezy office is on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Just a couple of addresses down, you can find an Adidas store. This all takes place between Laurel Avenue and North Edinburgh Avenue. Although, there are no exact details about this new Yeezy office in terms of size. Moreover, it is unknown as to what kind of operations are going down in there. Having said that, it seems like this was a very deliberate move. With all of the office space in the world, why choose a location right next to an Adidas store?

At this point, Adidas and Yeezy are both hurting. Adidas currently has over $500 million in leftover Yeezy products that they can’t sell. Moreover, no one really cares about Yeezys anymore. Ye doesn’t have the resources to produce his shoes at the level he once could. It remains to be seen if the brand will ever get its juice back. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sneaker world.

Kanye West Host Secret Yeezy Season 10 Fashion Show

Kanye West has returned to the fashion scene in classic Ye fashion. Following a controversial 2022, the rap mogul hosted a secret fashion show. The quiet unveiling of his Yeezy Season 10 collection was at a secret location in Los Angeles, California. It was billed as “YZY FREE.” Compared to his prior fashion show with Yeezy Season 9 and his infamous “White Lives Matter” shirt, this was quite the change of pace.

As reported by Highsnobiety, the “extremely low-key affair barely revealed any clothing or fashion designs at all. Instead, the focus was on a group of skinhead models wearing skin-tight white T-shirts with black pants.” Those that attended the event nabbed footage of the event, which was held in an empty warehouse on Melrose Ave (wow). Moreover, the videos showed the models holding candles as Frank Ocean’s “Self Control” caressed the sound system in the background. However, it was reported that Ye was not present himself. Although, he was there to help set up with his new wife Bianca Censori.

Kanye West Quietly Returns

Additionally, a viral photo was taken of the rap genius in a retro Umbro Manchester United jacket, and what looks like black leggings. You can peep how the night went above. Furthermore, the surprise inconspicuous event comes just seven months after Kanye West’s last fashion show. Ye held his Yeezy Season 9 fashion show in Paris back in October and garnered many mixed reviews. The rapper came under fire after rocking a “White Lives Matter” shirt at the event.

Proceeding the event many celebrities expressed their distaste. Diddy called Ye out over the garment sparking words between the two moguls. Moreover, the G.O.O.D music exec claimed that Puff was somehow being controlled by Jewish media. Not only that, this was the beginning of the end, as Ye began to make more antisemitic comments on social media and in interviews. However, due to the inflammatory remarks, he lost a ton of deals along the way. Many brands such as Balenciaga, Gap, and Adidas(tried to) cut ties with the rapper dissolving several lucrative business deals. How do you feel about Ye being back outside. Are you excited for the release of Yeezy Season 10?

Adidas Facing Lawsuit Over Kanye West Partnership

Ye’s anti-semitic meltdown was one of the biggest stories of 2022. The debacle began when the musician, formerly known as Kanye West, wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt in Paris. “White Lives Matter” is a slogan heavily associated with white supremacist groups and other far-right entities. Ye then doubled down, posting screenshots of a conversation with Puff Daddy. The texts show Ye saying “Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”

Two days later, on October 9, Ye’s anti-semitic remarks became even more blatant. The rapper took to Twitter to declare “I’m going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE. You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.” He was then interviewed by former Fox host Tucker Carlson, where Ye said “I prefer my kids knew Hanukkah than Kwanzaa. At least it will come with some financial engineering.” This finally led to sportswear company Adidas cutting ties with Ye. Adidas had collaborated with Ye on the Yeezys shoe line since 2013. The final straw appeared to be a public declaration by Ye that he could be publicly anti-semitic without facing consequences from Adidas.

Shareholders Allege Financial Damage From Not Dropping Ye

Adidas is reportedly set to lose around $1.3 billion from unsold Yeezys inventory. That is just one of the reasons that they are now facing a class action lawsuit from their investors. Shareholders have alleged that the company’s refusal to cut ties with Ye, as well as their inability to financially weather their eventual decision to drop him, is starting to hurt their portfolios.

However, that’s not all the suit alleges. In addition to the financial impact, investors are claiming that senior Adidas executives knew about Ye’s anti-semitic beliefs. The suit alleges that this information was kept from the public view to mitigate its financial impact. Furthermore, the suit alleges that this course of action led to the artificial inflation of Adidas’ share price. Moreover, hiding Ye’s behavior and thus inflating the share price worsened the financial impact when the stock later tanked. Adidas is yet to publicly respond to the lawsuit.

Kanye West Holds Auditions For New Yeezy Fashion Show, Seeking Bald Models

Kanye West hit up downtown Los Angeles on Thursday (April 27) to host auditions for models for his upcoming fashion show, Yeezy SZN 10. However, according to a TMZ report, this particular audition had a bit of a theme to it. Moreover, it seems like Ye sought out bald models in particular, and hopeful participants with shaved heads wore all black when they arrived. Furthermore, they lined up as early as 7 a.m., and some waited until 3 p.m. to receive an audience. Presumably, disheveled pictures of the rapper that surfaced on Friday (April 28) was likely taken from these sessions.

The reason for that is because Kanye apparently wore a shirt gifted to him by a disabled person who went to the audition. In more disheveled pictures, the person who presumably gifted him the shirt appears alongside him. Still, all these pieces of information add up to an unclear, albeit inclusive, vision for the next Yeezy show. Given all of the Chicago native’s public controversies and low profile, many wonder how it will even take shape and be disseminated in pop culture.

Kanye West Gearing Up For Yeezy SZN 10

Of course, it’s not like that turbulent path of backlash strayed Kanye West away from the fashion world. In fact, he recently popped out at the Fear Of God runway show along with his new wife Bianca Censori, and even jammed out to his music. It was actually quite an odd clip, capturing Kanye vibing out to his KIDS SEE GHOSTS track “Feel The Love.” That cut features Pusha T and project-length collaborator Kid Cudi, two names that the 45-year-old isn’t on the best terms with at the moment.

Meanwhile, fans can only wonder what kind of event, product, or statement the “Street Lights” artist will bring us next. Considering everything going on around him, going to Yeezy SZN 10 would be an act of morbid curiosity, hope, and partial nervousness. Also, Kim Kardashian recently blasted him for his “insane narrative” surrounding their divorce. While he once sought to expand his profile with every move, now it seems he must reclaim it with accountability. For when that day comes, return to HNHH for the latest on Kanye West.

Kanye West Hit With Lawsuit From Former Yeezy Employee

Kanye West has been going through a lot as of late. Although, he only has himself to blame for a lot of the backlash he has been hit with. Just months ago, Ye went on a very bizarre anti-semitic crusade. Overall, he enlisted the likes of Milo Yiannapolous as well as Nick Fuentes, who are known white supremacists. Furthermore, he went down this weird Nazi rabbit hole in which he proclaimed his love of Hitler. His fascination with Hitler was so bizarre that even Alex Jones couldn’t stomach it.

These days, Ye seems to be chilling. He has a new wife, and he keeps a low profile. He even tried to redeem himself by saying he loves Jewish people now. The reason for this: well, Jonah Hill’s performance in 21 Jump Street, of course. Unfortunately for Ye, not everyone is rocking with this attempt at a redemption arc. Moreover, things could be going from bad to worse for Ye, as he was just with a lawsuit. According to TMZ, this lawsuit comes courtesy of Dora Szilagyi who was reportedly a former employee at Yeezy.

According to the report, Dora Szilagyi was the “Director of Product Innovation” at Yeezy. The former employee was hired back in June of 2021, and according to her, Kanye allegedly got her to leave her full-time job at Adidas. Not long after her hiring, she was told that in the event she was fired without cause, she would receive a hefty severance package of $275,000. However, when she did get fired in December of 2021, she never received a dime. Now, she wants to get the money that she believes Ye owes her.

What’s more, is that Szilagyi claims she doesn’t think Kanye ever actually intended to give her the aforementioned severance. Simply put, it was just a lie to get her to leave a more secure job with the three stripes brand. This is currently a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sneaker world. Additionally, let us know what you think of all this, in the comments below.

Kanye West Yeezy Fallout Leads To Catastrophe For Adidas

Kanye West and his Yeezy brand were a huge moneymaker for Adidas. Overall, Ye was able to turn Adidas into one of the most fashion-forward sportswear brands in the world. After years of stagnancy, Yeezy uplifted Adidas to the point where they were doing more sales than Jordan Brand. However, that has all changed now that Kanye is no longer with the brand. Of course, you can’t really fault Adidas for the decision when you consider how Ye was siding with the Nazis and professing his love for Hitler. At some point, you have no choice but to pull the plug.

That said, Adidas has taken a very large hit in terms of its financials. In numerous reports, it has been noted that the German brand is holding on to $530 million worth of Yeezys. Moreover, these Yeezys still have the Yeezy branding on them, which means they cannot sell the shoes without Ye’s consent. Just a few weeks ago, rumors circulated saying that both sides had reached an agreement on selling these kicks. However, nothing actually materialized from that.

Now, according to CNBC, Adidas is facing some catastrophic losses. Their fourth-quarter numbers show an operating loss of around $760 million. Additionally, this includes a net loss of about $500 million. Dividends for shareholders will likely go from $3.50 to about $0.80, which is certainly not a good sign. Lastly, Adidas is projecting its net operations losses for the year to be $700 million. The last time the brand operated at a loss was about 31 years ago.

Overall, this is a bad sign for Adidas, and they will have to figure out some sort of plan of attack. The sportswear and sneaker games can be difficult, and it is all about trends and image. If Adidas can’t show people that it is still a hip imprint, then it could be facing an extremely difficult road. However, it should be noted that these operations losses include the $500 million in Yeezys that cannot be sold. Either way, this is going to be a story to follow over the next few months.

Kanye West Rumored To Be Back With Adidas

Kanye West and Adidas had a very public split during the late stages of 2022. Overall, it is very easy to see why Adidas wanted to drop Ye. Firstly, Kanye was the one who technically initiated the breakup. Secondly, West was in the middle of his anti-Semitic tirades that included praise for figures like Adolf Hitler. Adidas was not going to let this slide, and they ultimately decided to end their contract. This subsequently led to reports that Adidas had the rights to the Yeezy catalog and that they could do as they wish with it.

Unfortunately for Adidas, this left them with $520 million worth of unsold Yeezys. While Adidas can still sell Yeezy designs without the Yeezy logo on them, the $520 million of inventory in question still had Ye’s insignias. As a result, the brand was stuck with the inventory, leading to reports that the company would lose over $1 billion in revenue this year. Consequently, Adidas has been scrambling to find ways to recoup its previous investment. This has now led to some very interesting rumors that have begun to ramp up on social media.

Kanye West x Adidas Again?

According to the tweets above, as well as many others on Twitter right now, Adidas and Kanye are back together again. However, it is important to note that neither Adidas nor Kanye West have actually hinted at such a thing. Although, reporters like Brendan Dunne of Complex have been told by some sources that a deal has been in the works. For now, it seems like this rumored deal is simply temporary. Adidas wants to sell off its remaining Yeezy inventory, and this deal would simply mean that Ye is letting them do it. Ultimately, this would include a hefty royalty for Kanye, who would be doing Adidas a huge favor here.

As we have stated, this is simply a rumor that is starting to gain steam. Either way, there is no doubt that a reunion between the two would break the internet. Furthermore, that remaining stock would sell out instantly. This is a developing story that we are following, so stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sneaker world.
