Gina Huynh Seems To Shade Yung Miami By Using “Yams” Lingo On Instagram

For reasons as of yet unknown, it seems like Gina Huynh is reigniting her beef with the City Girls’ Yung Miami. Moreover, for those unaware, the two called each other out a lot over their respective relationships with Diddy, bonds that have aged poorly and in a worrisome way considering his many sexual assault accusations. Regardless, fans thing that Huynh added more fuel to the fire by writing “Yams” on her Instagram Story, which is the Miami rapper’s current rollout “era” on social media and a big part of her branding right now. Again, it’s hard to say exactly why this is happening now, but we’ll see if either party has anything else to say about the other.

What’s more is that their feud, plus the allegations against Sean Combs, have caused many to look back at these connections. For example, Gina Huynh told Tasha K of the abuse she allegedly endured at the hands of Yung Miami’s future flame. “He stomped on my stomach really hard. Like, took the wind out of my breath,” she shared back in 2019 concerning Diddy. “I couldn’t breathe. He kept hitting me. I was pleading to him, ‘Can you just stop? I can’t breathe.’” Then, allegedly, he began to punch Huynh in the head and she fought back after having “enough of his s**t.”

“He was mentally, emotionally and physically abusing me,” Gina Huynh continued. “He would always compare me to Cassie and tell me that I’m the bad one, she’s a good one.” Many have wrongfully compared themselves or others to Diddy’s past relationships, all of which fall under a dark light now. Huynh also posited that no one who knew what was happening between them tried to stop it. Things apparently got more complicated when Puff offered her $5K to get an abortion after being pregnant with his child, and she claims to have gone through with the procedure but to have not accepted the money.

“I turned [the money] down because I just loved him, I wanted to,” Huynh explained. “I was, like, trying to prove that I wasn’t the girl that wanted him for money, I just cared about him, I just wanted him to be nice to me. That’s it.” We’ll see if this feud continues in any significant way, or if this will no longer overshadow the serious crimes beneath. Deion Sanders Inspires Yung Miami’s Latest Yams Era Look

As an Aquarius, Yung Miami is a professional at doing things in her own way. Other femcees who fall under this sign include Megan Thee Stallion and Justina Valentine, both of whom also take a distinct approach to how they move in the spotlight. For the latest chapter of her career, Miami is all about the Yams, which she’s been discussing frequently on social media, though not everyone is clear on exactly what to expect from the rapper-turned-podcaster in this era.

“The Yams Era is my Primetime,” the mother of two wrote on Instagram earlier this week in the caption of a promotional video. “In the Yams we do ginger hair… Focus on ourselves… And get money! Yams is the new lingo… To my fans, the YAMS… This is the new us,” Miami further declared of her rebrand. Since then, her socials have filled with more content promoting her work, including a reference to NFL icon Deion Sanders with her sporty outfit. “We ain’t got tomorrow. We ain’t got now. We ain’t got next,” she wrote beneath Tuesday’s (February 6) upload. “We got now. We ain’t coming no more. We’re here. #Yams .”

In the comments, a few helpful fans helped to explain Miami’s concept to anyone feeling lost. “From a marketing perspective: Yams – term coined for Miami back in the day,” one of them began. “Deion ‘Prime Time’ Sanders in his prime, Coach Prime is also from Ft. Myers, FL. Yams Era = Caresha in her ‘prime,’ she’s portraying paying homage to her roots, being in her prime, with a nostalgic feel. MY TAKE IMO .”

Yung Miami’s New Era Is All About Yams

For Yung Miami, 2023 was a year full of big emotions and bigger celebrations. The City Girls unleashed their RAW album featuring Usher and other friends, and she won several awards thanks to the work she put in on her Caresha Please podcast. Now that Diddy is no longer on the board at REVOLT (at least temporarily), we can’t help but wonder what’s next for the Floridian. Speaking of the Bad Boy mogul, the allegations coming out against him after settling a harrowing multi-million dollar lawsuit with Cassie have put some notable distance between Sean Combs and his Shawty Wop.

Interestingly, the mother of two was flirting with Lil Baby during a recent performance. Some social media users are keen to see the Atlanta-based lyricist come together with Caresha, but others feel they’re better off collaborating musically. Nevertheless, the femcee is making it clear on social media that she’s ready to have a good time, no matter what other people close to her may be struggling with at this time.

Not long after, the rap diva also reposted a fan’s response. “Lol, back when everyone called Miami ‘The Yams.’ I’m ready for this era!!!” they hyped her up. It’s unclear exactly what the multi-talenet is planning to share with us besides her rumoured BET reality show, but we’ll always keep you up to date on the latest.
