Koffee’s third and final performance in her LIFT series, “Runaway,” from her new album Gifted, was posted today on Vevo, the world’s top music video network. In 2019, Koffee debuted on Vevo as a Vevo DSCVR artist, performing performances of “Toast” and “Raggamuffin.”
“We’re thrilled to continue 2022’s LIFT program with Koffee,” says Claudia de Wolff, Vice President, C&P, EU. “Her ambition, positivity and creative energy are unmatched, all qualities that are incredibly valuable in such a heavily collaborative project. We were so excited to have the opportunity to work with her and assist in spreading such a positive, uplifting message to her fans, and hope everyone enjoys this beautiful content.”
Vevo and Koffee worked closely together to use projection, light, and set design in a neutral yet elegant venue to draw inspiration from the images and aesthetics of the West Indies. The photograph, which was taken in a townhouse in Central London, was intended to depict Koffee’s energy and positivity while she was surrounded by her band and gospel choir. The films attempted to toy with the audience’s perception of space, demonstrating that the West Indies is more than just a geographical location, but also a vibe, feeling, and power that pervades its people’s spirits.
With a performance of “Bet It Back” and “10 Bracelets” airing today, Vevo, the world’s top music video network, announces 2 Chainz as the next artist in their Ctrl. series. The Ctrl series on Vevo spotlights the work of hard-hitting, cutting-edge musicians – both emerging and established – making an impression in today’s music industry. These musicians are deserving of recognition, and Vevo’s Ctrl puts a bright light on them. Rick Ross, Common, Rapsody, Fat Joe, Jeezy, Jadakiss, Fabolous, A$AP Ferg, and others performed before 2 Chainz.
2 Chainz’s latest album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself, has the songs “Bet It Back” and “10 Bracelets,” which he describes as his “final trap album.” Dope Don’t Sell Itself, his sixth studio album, featuring Lil Baby, Vevo’s 2021 Most Viewed Artist in the US, former Vevo Ctrl artists Moneybagg Yo, Swae Lee, and 42 Dugg, as well as Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, and others.
Donning a red-orange bucket hat and a long, lush fur coat, 2 Chainz spits bars over Vevo’s Ctrl set, which is illuminated by multicolored lighting. The Vevo Ctrl sessions of “Bet It Back” and “10 Bracelets,” which are successful, self-assured, and unconcerned, are the ideal farewell to the trap scene for a seasoned favorite.
Tate McRae is quickly becoming one of pop’s most exciting new voices, and her new single is already making waves. Tate released “She’s All I Wanna Be” a few weeks ago, following the insanely catchy pop anthem up with — what else? — a quirky dance video a few days later. But this kind of single is a gift that keeps on giving, and the rising pop star is going to get the most out of it. Today, in partnership with Vevo, she released a stripped-back, live performance of the song that showcases exactly how versatile McRae is.
One of her strengths has been the ability to make sad, downtempo pop songs that still resonate with listeners, and that’s exactly what today’s live performance turns “She’s All I Wanna Be” into. Then again, one of the reasons Tate’s latest song has been racking up streams is because it’s a lot bouncier and more upbeat than some of her past work, even if the lyrics are still a little (okay, a lot) on the sad side of things. One thing is for sure, as a live performer, Tate has an uncanny ability to command a stage. Check out the performance above to see for yourself.
The music video hosting network Vevo has announced the results of their most viewed videos of 2021 (Vevo notably hosts a great majority of the popular videos we watch on YouTube, so you’ll often see the “Vevo” logo on a screen in the bottom left corner.) The year’s big winner — both globally and in the U.S. — was The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” clip set in a macabre masquerade ball and directed by Cliqua. After performing at the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show in February, The Weeknd saw a surge in video interactions and the video clocked 615 million views in 2021 globally, with 102.9 million of them coming from the US.
Globally speaking, the top three videos of the year were rounded out by Karol G and Mariah Angeliq’s “El Makinon” with 556 million worldwide views, and the Black Eyed Peas featuring Shakira’s collaboration, “Girl Like Me,” with 519 million spins. In the US, Lil Baby’s “On Me” came in second with 94 million domestic views and Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name) was third with 91.3 million views.
Lil Baby was the most viewed artist in the US with 770 million total views (The Weekend was second with 559 million,) while Karol G took home the Global crown with a whopping 3.11 billion views, narrowly edging The Weekend’s 3.10 billion global views.

Vevo already had a knack for helping artists create live performance videos of their songs that felt like mini-concerts, but that platform has only been more useful in the midst of a pandemic. Now that it’s been months since most of us have been out to see our favorite artists on tour, these live slices of artists performing their new work is as close as it comes lately. Since the release of her long-awaited album Planet Her, Doja Cat has almost had to pick and choose which singles to promote, there’s so many good options on the record’s extensive tracklist. Clearly, though, one of her personal favorites is “Need To Know,” and it was one of the last singles to be released before she finally announced the album’s release date back in June.
In this new clip, Doja wears a futuristic high-fashion black look while perched out in the middle of the desert, singing the song while casually sitting on a cliffside. Eventually, she stands up and makes her way to the middle of a clearing where she can stretch out a few dance moves during an interlude. Check out the clip above, as well as her earlier collaboration with Vevo on “Ain’t Sh*t.”
