The Weeknd Is Bringing A New ‘Nightmare’ To Halloween Horror Nights At Universal Studios Hollywood

On the cover of his 2022 album Dawn FM, Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a The Weeknd, aged himself to look like an old man with wrinkles and a gray beard. But you know what’s even scarier than beholding the ravages of age? A haunted house attraction!

The Weeknd is returning to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood this year for The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy, an “authentic, one-of-a-kind horror experience with surprises at every turn and music by The Weeknd scored by seminal producer, artist, and seven-time Grammy award winner Mike Dean.” You can watch the announcement video above.

“The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy” is one of eight haunted houses coming to Universal Studios Hollywood, along with “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface,” “Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines,” “Insidious: The Further,” “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” and “A Quiet Place.” There’s also “Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse,” which features characters from Blumhouse movies like M3GAN, The Black Phone, Freaky, The Purge, and Happy Death Day. I don’t know what The Weeknd is teasing, but it better involve M3GAN.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood begins on Thursday, September 5, and continues on select nights until Sunday, November 3. For more information, including how to buy tickets, click here.

Halloween Horror Nights Unveils Spooky New Trailer For The Weeknd’s “Nightmare Trilogy”

The exciting announcement comes after The Weeknd launched his “After Hours Nightmare” haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights in 2022. The attraction was inspired by his 2020 album, After Hours. At the time, Halloween Horror Nights executive producer and creative director John Murdy told Billboard that he didn’t see The Weeknd’s vision at first. After digging into his discography and speaking with him, however, it all clicked. “I knew his songs, but I didn’t really understand how it all connected to horror until I sat down and started talking to Abel and then did a deep dive into his music,” Murdy explained. “His music videos and his cinematic inspirations … Was really I think the ‘a-ha’ moment for me.”

The bar is certainly set high this time around, and social media users are looking forward to seeing what else the hitmaker has up his sleeve. 6ix9ine Embarrassed By SteveWillDoIt Yet Again As Nelk Boys Member Takes Rapper’s Daughter & BM To Universal Studios

6ix9ine is someone who has amassed a ton of enemies throughout his career. Overall, there were times when fans thought he would be killed because of the beef he was causing. Eventually, he went to jail for a bit and fans thought that would even him out. However, as soon as he got out, he went back to his old ways. As it stands, 6ix9ine is not nearly as relevant as he used to be. That said, whenever something happens to him, people come out of the woodwork to spectate. At the end of the day, he’s the trainwreck that is impossible to look away from.

Recently, 6ix9ine has been finding himself at odds with a much less menacing figure. Of course, we are talking about Nelk Boys member SteveWillDoIt. As the story goes, Steve once tried to help 6ix9ine with streaming, but the rapper allegedly “scammed” him. In a way to get back at 6ix9ine, SteveWillDoIt recently flew out the rapper’s daughter and baby mama. He then proceeded to send them some money and even bought jewelry and a Birkin bag. Yesterday, he took things even further as Steve took the family to Universal Studios.

6ix9ine & SteveWillDoIt Continue To Beef

It is all very bizarre and it is clearly being done in a way that will bring about some easy and free internet points. Having said that, it will surely anger 6ix9ine, who has been M.I.A. throughout all of this. Fans are hoping for him to respond, but for now, he has no interest. As for SteveWillDoIt, internet clout remains the name of the game, and as a Nelk Boys member, he understands that likes and impressions will help him win the war.

Kanye West & Bianca Censori Spend The Day With North West At Universal Studios

North West has two of the most famous parents in the world, meaning she’s been given plenty of exciting opportunities throughout her life. For example, she performed with “Chandelier” singer Sia this past Christmas at her family’s holiday party. More recently, her mom, Kim Kardashian, arranged for her to meet one of her idols – Ice Spice. The 23-year-old and her new friend posted several TikTok videos together last weekend, causing a serious stir online.

In the various videos, North and a few of her young friends groove along with the Like..? hitmaker’s “In Ha Mood” and “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” tracks. The eldest Kardashian-West child also revealed another portrait she drew of Spice, along with a message for followers dishing that she’s as sweet in person as she seems in the media. In the hours after the TikToks went up, the 9-year-old returned with more content, this time lip-syncing along to the same songs while dressed as the redheaded lyricist, curly wig and all.

North’s Ice Spice Obsession

Though Kardashian and her daughter’s joint account has the comment section turned off, the videos continued to recirculate on social media and generate plenty of discourse. Specifically, some pointed out that North’s dad, Kanye West, may have had a point in wanting his daughter to stay off TikTok. Others, however, argued that the father of four got what was coming to him as karma for his own previous troubling actions.

Regardless of North West’s Ice Spice imitations shedding some negative light on the family, she and Ye are still stepping out in public to enjoy their time together. On Thursday (March 9), the “Ghost Town” artist was seen at Universal Studios Hollywood with his firstborn, as well as his new wife, Bianca Censori. They spent their time at the theme park checking out carnival games and shooting some hoops, Ye keeping a low profile with a ski mask covering his face.

Ye’s Family Fun Day

The newlyweds have been keeping to themselves lately, though this isn’t the first time we’ve seen them take North out. In late January, the Wests headed to NOBU for a luxurious dinner date, and we’ve since seen Censori and her man do some shopping at Balenciaga. At this time, little still remains known about their relationship and the legal technicalities of their marriage.

Still, seeing the Yeezy founder bring his partner around one of his children is certainly a good sign for their relationship. It’s unclear if the Australian architect has met his three other little ones – Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – just yet. Check back in with HNHH later for any updates on the couple and your other favourite celebrities.

The Weeknd Announces ‘After Hours Nightmare,’ A Haunted House Experience At Universal Studios

Fans of The Weeknd have described his earlier sounds as “haunted strip club music.” While this may be a fair assessment, the singer has announced he will be taking his music to the realm of haunted houses. Beginning this September, The Weeknd will launch “After Hours Nightmare,” a series of Universal Studios parks’ Halloween Horror Nights series.

The houses will take inspiration from The Weeknd’s After Hours album era and will be set to music from the album. According to a press release, visitors to either of the haunted houses at Universal Studios in Orlando or Universal Studios in Hollywood will be “stalked by slashers, bandaged maniacs, gruesome toad-like creatures and other unfathomable horrors from the mind of the artist.”

“I always wanted my own Halloween Horror Nights haunted house as Halloween has always been significant to my music, so this is a total dream come to life,” said The Weeknd in a statement. “I feel like my music videos have served as a launching pad for a collaboration like this, and I cannot wait for people to experience this madness!”

“After Hours Nightmare” kicks off September 2 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 8 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Check out the official teaser above.
