Boosie’s Daughter Responds After His Comments on Her Sexuality: “I’ve Been Quiet for Two Years”

Boosie Boo 3

Boosie Badazz is facing public pushback from his daughter, Iviona Hatch, after controversial comments he made about her sexuality. The Baton Rouge rapper recently stated that he doesn’t allow Iviona to bring her girlfriend home, expressing fears about “contaminating” her siblings with her same-sex relationship. In a video posted to her Instagram on Friday (Sept. 27), Iviona, also known as Ivi, finally spoke out against her father’s remarks, saying she’s remained silent on the issue for far too long.

The drama unfolded after Boosie’s appearance at Revolt World on Sept. 22, where he sat down with Yung Miami on her show Caresha Please. During the interview, Boosie discussed how he reacted when his daughter came out, calling the moment “nothing.” However, he made it clear that he restricts her from bringing her girlfriend to the family home, stating, “I don’t want it to contaminate her other siblings.”

Boosie explained further, saying, “I want them to bring me grandchildren the right way. If I want grandchildren the right way, that’s what imma stand on. I don’t want my other little girl to look at that and say, ‘What’s that, daddy?’ to somebody she looks up to. My grandpa didn’t let it, my daddy didn’t let it, and I didn’t let it. I just hope the one under me doesn’t let it either because that’s not what our family believes in.”

Following these remarks, Ivi, who has kept a low profile on the topic, addressed her father’s stance in her Instagram video, sharing that she had been silent for nearly two years despite Boosie repeatedly discussing her sexuality publicly. “He always speaking on my sexuality. The whole world knows that, and it’s been about two years now that I’ve been quiet,” she said. “I did everything in my power to understand that this is my father, regardless. Imma accept him and love him for who he is.”

In the video, Ivi emphasized that she has remained respectful, but the time had come to voice her frustration with her father’s comments, which have continued to draw attention.

Boosie, who is known for his outspoken and often controversial opinions, said he maintains a close relationship with his daughter, despite his disapproval of her romantic life. However, the public nature of the tension between them highlights a growing rift that may be difficult to reconcile, as Ivi begins to speak out on her own terms.

Top Collaborations Between Hispanic and Non-Hispanic Hip-hop and Pop Artists

Top Collaborations Between Hispanic and Non Hispanic Hip hop and Pop Artists

Hip-hop celebrated its 51st birthday in August and it’s fitting that it is shortly followed by Hispanic heritage month. While hip-hop has most of its roots in African-American culture, the sound has been influenced by Hispanic artists and culture as well almost since its inception. The last five decades have seen dozens of explosive partnerships between Hispanic music legends and non-Hispanic hip-hop and pop artists, showcasing how these trailblazing collabs have broken cultural boundaries, creating chart-topping hits, and redefining the music scene.

“Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber: “Despacito” was a global reggaeton sensation blending Latin rhythms with pop influences. The song tied for the longest run at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2015.

“Taki Taki” by Ozuna, DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B: “Taki Taki” brought together an international assembly of talent including Latin sensation Ozuna, French producer DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B for what was arguably one of the catchiest songs of 2018.

“Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)” by Lumidee featuring Busta Rhymes and Fabolous: Possibly the catchiest song back in the summer of 2003, this track seamlessly blended Lumidee’s melodic voice and Fabolous and Busta Rhymes’ punctuated raps, resulting in a timeless hit.

“Give Me Everything” by Pitbull and Ne-Yo (with honorable mentions): In 2004, Pitbull made his debut to the music scene alongside several established hip-hop artists releasing hit tracks such as “Culo” and “Roma” with Lil Jon and “That’s Nasty” with Lil Jon and Fat Joe. He would again team up with Lil Jon three years later on “The Anthem,” which sampled the 1970s Latin single “El Africano” by Sonora Dinamita (E-40 made an appearance in the music video as well). Pitbull would team up with dozens of other pop and hip-hop stars over the next decade including Chris Brown, T-Pain, Akon, Lloyd, Christina Aguilera, Kesha, and more- including collabing with Ne-Yo multiple times, most notably for “Give Me Everything” in 2011. The song, which also featured Dutch DJ Afrojack and American singer Nayer, was the first Billboard Hot 100 number one single for all of the artists except for Ne-Yo.

“I’m Real” (remix) by Jennifer Lopez featuring Ja Rule: Before Pitbull made his worldwide debut as Mr. Worldwide, the remix of “I’m Real” was a 2001 hit that blended R&B and hip-hop sounds, culminating in a chart-topping track, known for its catchy melody and playful lyrics. The song marked a pivotal moment in Lopez’s music career, showcasing her versatility and solidifying her presence in the pop and urban music scene while further propelling Ja Rule’s dominance of the music scene in 2001.

“Mia” by Drake and Bad Bunny:  “Mia” by Bad Bunny featuring Drake is a bilingual reggaeton hit where Drake sings in Spanish (how well is a different topic of debate). However, the infectious track blends Latin rhythms with hip-hop, celebrating love and culture, and was generally met with positive audience reception, working its way onto club and party playlists throughout 2018.

“Bailando” by Enrique Iglesias ft. Sean Paul, Descemer Bueno, Gente De Zona:   “Bailando” was a vibrant, danceable anthem blending reggaeton, Latin pop, and dancehall, celebrating love and passion with infectious energy and becoming a top dance hit of 2014 (fitting as “bailando” means dancing in Spanish).

“Vato” by Snoop Dogg and B-Real: Long before he was the face of America at the Olympics, Snoop paired with the Cypress Hill frontman for “Vato,” a song that infused the talent of both superstars. While some criticized the video for making fun of Hispanic culture, both artists said that the song (and video) were meant to address issues of racial conflict between Blacks and Hispanics, especially in Los Angeles (this became more evident when the song’s video was released).

“Did it Again” by Shakira and Kid Cudi (with honorable mentions): Since bursting onto the American pop music scene in 2001, Shakira has spent over two decades rising to a global sensation, teaming up with American hip-hop and pop stars including Rihanna (“Can’t Remember to Forget You”), Beyonce (“Beautiful Liar”), Wycleff Jean (“Hips Don’t Lie”), Black Eyed Peas (“Girl Like Me”), and Cardi B (“Punteria”). However, “Did it Again” with Kid Cudi might be one of both artists’ most underrated songs that deserves more credit than it’s been given.

“Como No” by Akon and Becky G: “Como No” (which means “of course” in Spanish), which was the lead single on Akon’s Latin debut album El Negreeto, was met with positive global reception, especially in Europe where the duo performed it at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards.

“Todo Para Ti” by Shakira, Thalia, Ricky Martin, Carlos Santana, Gloria Estefan, Michael Jackson (and others): “Todo Para Ti” was originally recorded in English as “What More Can I Give” by Michael Jackson and a superstar lineup that included Mariah Carey, Mya, Brian McKnight, Luther Vandross, Usher, and more following the September 11th attacks in 2001. It was recorded later in Spanish as “Todo Para Ti.” While some non-Hispanic artists appeared only on the English version and some Hispanic artists appeared only on the Spanish version, Shakira, Thalia, Ricky Martin, Carlos Santana, Gloria Estefan, Mya, Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross, Jon Secada, Celine Dion, Anastacia, and Brian McKnight all appeared on both versions.

Faith Evans Considers Legal Action Over Kim Porter’s Alleged Diary Claims Regarding Biggie’s Death

faith

This week, the publisher of the late Kim Porter’s alleged diary admitted uncertainty about the authenticity of the passages, sparking controversy and potential legal action from Faith Evans, who was mentioned in the memoir.

Faith Evans, the widow of rap legend Biggie Smalls, is reportedly considering legal action against the publisher of Kim’s Lost Words, a posthumous book allegedly written by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ late partner, Kim Porter. The memoir, published earlier this month, makes explosive claims that Evans played a role in the events surrounding Biggie’s 1997 murder—allegations that Evans vehemently denies.

The 60-page book includes several controversial passages, with one particularly scandalous claim suggesting that Diddy orchestrated Evans’ relationship with Biggie to “monitor” him and that Evans suspected Diddy had a hand in the rapper’s death. These allegations have been met with outrage from Evans and those close to her.

Sources have revealed that Evans is “mortified” by the memoir’s contents and deeply upset by the suggestion that she had any involvement in Biggie’s murder. The rapper, real name Christopher Wallace, was tragically killed in a still-unsolved drive-by shooting on March 9, 1997. Conspiracy theories have swirled around his death for decades, but this latest accusation has struck a nerve with Evans, particularly due to the use of her name in such a sensitive context.

An insider close to Evans told The Daily Mail, “Faith Evans is seriously considering taking legal action against the author of the Kim Porter book.” The insider also noted that Evans was unaware of the book’s claims until she started receiving concerned calls and had to assure her 27-year-old son, Christopher Wallace Jr. (CJ), that she had no role in his father’s death. CJ, who was a child when Biggie was murdered, is said to be “disgusted and confused” by the book’s allegations.

Evans, who shared a child with Biggie and remained married to him until his untimely death, has firmly denied all the accusations made in the memoir. As rumors and speculation continue to swirl, Evans is reportedly preparing to take legal steps to defend her name and protect her family from further distress caused by the sensational claims in the controversial book.

As of now, no official legal action has been filed, but the situation continues to evolve as Evans weighs her options and the public watches closely for further developments.

Adin Ross Clowns Kendrick Lamar Affiliates Who Allegedly Banned Him From LA

Adin Ross carries weight in the rap game. At least, from a clout perspective. The Kick streamer has become one of the premiere sources for teasing music and hyping up new releases. Ross’ affiliations, however, have allegedly landed him in hot water with the West Coast. The streamer relationship with Drake has led to claims that he’s not welcome in Los Angeles. Ross clapped back at these claims, however, and asserted that he was welcome to go wherever he pleases.

Adin Ross clarified his L.A. credentials on September 26. The Kick streamer posted a video alongside former YouTuber Sneako and made it clear he wasn’t scared. “I’m not banned from L.A.,” he asserted. “I wish somebody would. Swear to God, I’m gonna go to L.A. nobody’s gonna do sh*t to me. I promise you bro.” Ross went on to inform viewers that he used to live in Los Angeles, and has no concerns about what will “happen” to him if he decides to return. “You think I’m scared of L.A,” he questioned. “I lived in L.A. for years.” The streamer’s indignation only grew from there.

Adin Ross Assures Fans He’s Not ‘Scared’ Of L.A.

Ross referenced the alleged Kendrick Lamar affiliate who suggested he wasn’t welcome, and threatened to sick his security on the man. “I’ll smack the sh*t out of you,” he stated. “Well, not me. I’m gonna have security smack the f*ck outta you.” Sneako then interrupted and jokingly assured viewers he likes Bloods and Crips equally. He also described Kendrick Lamar’s classic debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city (2012), as a “decent” album. Adin Ross brought the focus back to the affiliate who allegedly told him to steer clear of L.A.

The streamer stated that he is going to stand by his opinions on the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef. He’s going to ride with the former, and urged the L.A. affiliate to focus on more substantial things. “Go start a family,” he mockingly suggested. “Go play poker or chess… You’re old. Get off the internet sh*t, it’s not for you buddy.”

Is it us or is Tyler Perry everywhere? Well, now he’s on the small screen with his first series on Netflix and we have the initial full trailer for Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black. The trailer offers a glimpse into a world filled with sex, nightclubs, family drama, scandals, and even an explosive car scene. This trailer comes after a teaser was dropped earlier this month, and Netflix has also unveiled new images and the official key art for the series.

As we mentioned, Beauty in Black marks Tyler Perry’s first television project with Netflix, expanding their partnership that initially focused on films. The deal was later amended to include a first-look series agreement, and this show is the first to emerge from that collaboration.

Get this, while much of the show’s details remain a mystery, the official synopsis provides some insight into the plot:

Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black follows two women leading vastly different lives. Kimmie (played by Taylor Polidore Williams) is struggling to survive after being kicked out by her mother, while Mallory (played by Crystle Stewart) is at the helm of a successful business. Despite their contrasting paths, their lives become unexpectedly intertwined.”

But hold up, Netflix’s Tudum added more context, describing the series as set in Atlanta and centered around a wealthy Black family at the top of a hair care empire, alongside an exotic dancer entangled in the dangerous world of the Magic City strip club. The description hints at an intense intersection of these two seemingly unrelated worlds.

Speaking to Tudum, Perry said, “The hair care business here is huge [and] Magic City is huge, and I was like, ‘What happens if those worlds collided — the stripper world and this hair care business?’ Never ever underestimate the power of the underdog.”

The cast of Beauty in Black features Taylor Polidore Williams as Kimmie, Amber Reign Smith as Rain, Crystle Stewart as Mallory, Ricco Ross as Horace, Debbi Morgan as Olivia, Richard Lawson as Norman, Steven G. Source Sports: Derrick Rose Announces Retirement After Storied 16-Year NBA Career: “I Gave My All”

IMG 8974

Derrick Rose, the 35-year-old former NBA star, and fan favorite has officially hung up his sneakers, announcing his retirement after a 16-year journey filled with both triumphs and setbacks. Reflecting on his decision, Rose told ESPN, “Knowing that I gave my all to the game, I feel confident in my decision. Basketball was just the beginning for me. Now, it’s important that I give my all to my family — they deserve that.”

It all went down on the gram in an emotional Instagram post, Rose expressed his gratitude to basketball, the sport that defined much of his life. “Thank You, My First Love…,” he began, addressing basketball directly. “You believed in me through the highs and lows, my constant when everything else seemed uncertain. You showed me what love truly meant. You turned the court into my sanctuary, a home where I could express myself freely.”

Rose continued, “You reminded me that I could always rely on you, that in every moment of doubt, you would show me what I’m capable of. You introduced me to new places and cultures that a kid from Chicago could have never imagined. You taught me that every loss was a lesson and every win was a reason to be grateful. You offered wisdom that was not just about the game, but about life, discipline, hard work, perseverance.”

In a wow moment, Rose’s heartfelt letter was also shared in local newspapers in each of the six cities he played in during his NBA career, including Chicago, New York, Cleveland, Minnesota, Detroit, and Memphis. His final stop was with the Memphis Grizzlies, who agreed to release him from the final year of his contract, allowing him to retire on his own terms.

If you’re not a NBA fan, or know just how impactful Derrick Rose was, he burst onto the NBA scene in 2009, capturing the Rookie of the Year award and earning a spot on the All-Rookie First Team. His meteoric rise continued in 2011, when he became the youngest player in history to win the MVP award. That same year, he led the Chicago Bulls to a league-best 62-20 record and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they eventually fell to the star-studded Miami Heat led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

The turning point happened when Rose suffered a devastating ACL tear during the playoffs. The injury sidelined him for the entire following season, and he never fully returned to the form that once made him an MVP. Despite this, Rose remained a valuable player and a respected veteran presence on several teams throughout the rest of his career.

Respectfully, Derrick Rose finishes his career with averages of 17.4 points and 5.2 assists per game, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and determination. Though his time on the court has come to an end, his impact on the game and the fans who followed him will endure.
