Takeoff Tribute Sets Guinness World Record As Largest Tattoo In The World

A tribute honoring the late Migos rapper Takeoff has set a Guinness World Record. The artist J.R. Outlaw, as well as other artists at Atlanta Ink, Iron Palm Tattoos & Body Piercing, and Pèse Noir, are officially credited with using a 79-foot piece of silicone skin to create a tattoo mural honoring the late rapper.

Outlaw spoke about the piece during a recent interview with Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I think Takeoff was just a big influence in the city and the culture of Atlanta, like in general,” Outlaw told the outlet. “It was really the whole group. They made a real lasting impact on the city, so we just wanted to do something to memorialize him, and that’s really what it was about.”

The Guinness World Record feat comes after Quavo and Offset reunited at the 2023 BET Awards for an on-stage tribute to their late Migos partner. After the show, Offset hopped on Instagram Live, where he named Migos “the greatest group to ever touch the mic.”

“The BET performance was iconic man,” Offset said at the time. “It cleared my soul. Me and my brother Qua, we put that together within 16 hours. Like 15 hours. We land from Paris like at 9pm and go straight to work to figure out how we gon’ put the show together man.”

Offset Posts Behind The Scenes Video Of Surprise BET Performance

Many of rap music’s biggest superstars showed out for last night’s BET awards. Performances brought together legends of old with the hottest stars of today to celebrate rap’s 50th anniversary. In one of the biggest performances of the night, Migos rappers Offset and Quavo re-united to pay tribute to the group’s third member Takeoff. Takeoff was shot and killed in November of last year and since then stars from all across the industry have paid tribute to his personality and talent.

The latest tribute was a major highlight of last night’s BET awards. This morning, Offset took fans behind the scenes of the day leading up to the surprise show. A video on his Instagram tracks what he was doing in the day leading up to the award show. The video shows Offset and Quavo rehearsing their choreography before the show. They rehearse on an empty stage pointing at the picture of Takeoff projected onto the wall behind them.

Offset Takes Us Behind The Scenes

While Offset and Quavo’s performance was one of the highlights of the night, it also had plenty of drama. City Girls’ rapper JT and her partner Lil Uzi Vert had a very publicized fight during the show. Many initially suspected that it had something to do with Uzi shouting out Ice Spice during his performance. JT was quick to come out and clarify the situation afterward saying she is totally cool with Ice Spice.

Offset has been busy recently popping up in a few places during Paris Fashion Week. First, he linked up with Jay-Z and Pharrell during the latter’s debut show as Louis Vuitton’s Head of Menswear. He also performed his hit song “Ric Flair Drip” during sportswear brand Li-Nang’s show. Finally, he showed up at the Dior show a few days later sporting a fit nobody could ignore. He quickly turned around from those appearances to make his surprise return to the BET Awards stage. What do you think of Offset’s behind-the-scenes video of his BET performance? Let us know in the comment section below.

Britney Spears Pays Tribute To Michael Jackson With Dance Videos And Throwback Pics

Britney Spears’ Instagram has become a must-watch spectacle in recent months. The iconic pop star has been more active than ever, especially when it comes to original content. One particular highlight is Spears’ joyful dancing in the foyer of her Thousand Oaks mansion, something she posts videos of several times a week.

However, there has been a definite theme to her Instagram activity in recent days. June 25 marked the 14th anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson, who died on that day in 2009.

Many of Spears’ recent posts have specifically made reference or paid tribute to the King of Pop. The pair famously performed Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” together at Madison Square Garden in 2001.

In the lead-up to the anniversary of Jackson’s death, Spears posted two dance videos set to tracks by a member of the Jackson family. In a now-deleted post, Spears danced to “Scream” by Janet and Michael Jackson. However, in a second video still present on Spears’ account, she dances to Janet Jackson’s “Throb”.

In a separate post, Spears posted side-by-side images of her practicing and performing the 2001 MSG routine. “Rehearsals with Micheal versus performance 🙄🤓🤔,” she wrote in the caption. It’s clear that Spears still holds Jackson in the highest regard.

Furthermore, in typical Spears eccentricity, the “Throb” dance video and MSG throwback were separated by a bizarre post. Spears simply posted a Dutch Masters-esque still life that depicted a McDonald’s order. She captioned the post with three Union Jacks.

Offset Channels MJ At Paris Fashion Show

Britney isn’t the only person paying homage to Jackson. Rapper Offset recently channeled Jackson’s iconic fashion during an appearance at the Dior Men’s SS24 show.

The former Migos member sported a black military-style jacket with red details and gold buttons. Furthermore, he paired the jacket with a pair of blue jeans and a flashy gold belt buckle. Finally, Offset completed the look with a pair of black gloves and some shades.

It’s Offset’s second MJ tribute outfit in as many months. The Atlanta rapper wore a red satin jacket to the premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse last month. He also paired that look with black gloves and shades. Furthermore, Offset sported a white, MJ-esque jacket to the premiere of The Little Mermaid. However, it’s possible this look was a little more Prince Eric than the King of Pop.

ODB’s Daughter Gets Emotional Following Tattoo Tribute

Taniqua Jones, the daughter of late Wu-Tang Clan member Ol’ Dirty Bastard, recently shared a clip on social media revealing her new tattoo. The tattoo pays tribute to her father, who passed away from an accidental drug overdose in 2004. In the clip, Jones is seen at a tattoo parlor, admiring the piece in the mirror.

Jones’ sister, Shaquita, and her mother Icelene joined her for the excursion. She got the tattoo done at Cypress Tattoos in Oregon. She calls the tattoo of her father’s face “so nice,” before beginning to cry. “Sorry…Thank you so much,” she tells the artist.

Taniqua Jones Honors ODB

Earlier this month, Steve-O reflected on his own, questionable tribute to ODB. He revealed that he had planned to do a far-out, naked onstage stunt at Wu-Tang Clan’s 2006 Rock The Bells performance in honor of the late artist. Steve-O recalls thinking, “Dirty would love that!” Unfortunately, Raekwon stopped the comedian in his tracks. He explained that “[ODB] was the king of not giving a f*ck, way before Kanye did it.” He reminisces about the late rapper “on stage with his pants down, d*ck out, smoking a huge blunt of PCP.” Steve-O recalls thinking, “‘That is my hero.’

“All of a sudden, Raekwon stops the show completely,” he revealed. “He grabs me by my neck and drags me to the front of the stage.” In a clip of the incident, Raekwon says, “I didn’t appreciate that, and I’ma tell you right now in front of all these people, you gonna apologize or I’ma knock you out in front of all these people. ‘I’m not playing, straight up, that was disrespectful. I’m ready to f*ck you up, so you better apologize right now. And I’m going to jail, straight up.’” “I’ve never considered myself a tough guy, but even I was surprised by what a b*tch I was in that moment,” Steve-O admitted. “After that, I was allowed to go. And security told us that I really should go because I was definitely not safe.”

Offset Remembers Takeoff On What Would’ve Been His 29th Birthday

The hip-hop world still mourns the loss of Migos rapper Takeoff, but the preservation of his legacy, impact, and memory rings deep on this special day. Early on Sunday (June 18), his groupmate Offset posted a series of pictures of and with the late MC on Instagram for what would’ve been his 29th birthday. Moreover, this follows a sea of tributes and celebrations of his life and work online, whether from fans or industry figures alike. What’s more is that these remarks don’t depend on it being a particular day, as he is always fondly remembered and honored. For example, ‘Set’s wife Cardi B labeled him an “angel” in a recent social media post.

Furthermore, Offset’s words focus on who Kirsnick Khari Ball is not just as an artist, but as a person. “Happy birthday rocket man,” he wrote on his commemorative post. “the greatest to touch a mic!! best spirit ever!! purest man I know your heart was golden bring me peace bra we celebrate your life because you still right here I love you gang.” This follows Quavo’s message to his nephew on Instagram.

Offset Celebrates Takeoff’s Birthday

“Happy Birthday @yrntakeoff can’t wait for days like this again!!!” he captioned a video of the two rummaging through clothing. “BEST believe we goin up all week the Rocket way GEEKD u 29 n***a.” While Migos will never be the same due to Takeoff’s passing and their own prior internal struggles, fans took the time to honor the late legend and share their condolences to both surviving members. It hasn’t been easy for fans to see that things aren’t how they used to be, but despite their continued problems, fans keep putting Take’s legacy above all else.

Meanwhile, on the legal side of things, authorities formally indicted Patrick Xavier Clark, a suspect in Takeoff’s murder. This move brings his loved ones and family one step closer to at least getting some justice for his tragic loss. Since then, no further details have emerged surrounding the case, but the world watches as some closure could finally come after months of mourning. For the latest news and updates on the Migos, keep checking in with HNHH.
Rest In Peace Takeoff.
