Childish Gambino is going to be no longer pretty soon. After releasing the final album under this moniker, Bando Stone and The New World back in July, he brought out a tour to accompany it. The New World Tour kicked off back in August was essentially in its final stages, as it was scheduled to wrap up on October 3. However, the multi-talented artist is putting things on pause for now, according to Billboard. Gambino says he’s been dealing with some “physical health” issues that he wants to get right so he close things out on a proper note. Here’s what he had to say in a tweet just a couple of hours ago.
“Hey everyone. Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of the north american tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks. Hold onto your tickets. ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in north america when they are rescheduled. Thanks for the privacy. Thanks for the support. Thanks for the love”.
Obviously, the “3005” hitmaker isn’t going to go into full detail about what’s exactly bothering him. However, the fans don’t mind one bit as they just want to see him rest up and do what he has to do. Normally, fans can be pretty stubborn and selfish, but seeing these responses is always a sight for sore eyes. “HEALTH IS WEALTH!!!! TAKE CARE”, one user says. “Focus on your health more than anything”, another adds. At this time, no one is sure about when the North American dates will be announced, so stay locked in with us for any updates.
What are your thoughts on Childish Gambino postponing the rest of his North American tour dates? When do you think he will hit the road again? Have you been keeping Bando Stone and The New World in your rotation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Childish Gambino. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.
TLC has canceled several upcoming shows in the wake of T-Boz’s recent hospitalization, which resulted from a stomach blockage. The group dropped their performance at the New York State Fair on Friday. They addressed the situation in a press release on their Instagram Story. In doing so, they revealed Boz “experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps.” From there, she went to the hospital for further evaluation.
“Last evening, Tionne was diagnosed with a severe abdominal blockage, necessitating the cancellation of both the Syracuse and Foxwoods performances,” the statement explained. “She remains in the hospital under medical supervision but is expected to be released tomorrow. The doctor verified that this was not food poisoning, but an abdominal blockage. Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and extends her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event promoters. The decision to cancel was made under the advisement of her physician, who required her to stay in the hospital overnight to undergo a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition. TLC is committed to rescheduling the canceled shows and apologizes to all the fans, particularly those who traveled long distances to attend. The group appreciates the understanding and support.”
It’s not the first time T-Boz’s health has resulted in TLC canceling shows this year. Back in May, she fell ill with the flu and pushed off tour dates in Canada. Additionally, back in 2021, TLC canceled a date in Houston after she suffered an allergic reaction.
This time last week, Leon Bridges announced a new album, titled simply Leon. Now, he’s got more news: He’s going on The Leon Tour later this year.
The run kicks off in October and hits a number of North American theaters between then and mid-November. The tour wraps up with a hometown show in Fort Worth, Texas. Hermanos Gutiérrez joins Bridges on the road, while Charley Crockett will also be there for the Forth Worth concert.
Ticket pre-sales start on August 20 and tickets go on sale on August 23 at 10 a.m. local time. More information is available on the tour website.
Bridges says of the tour in a statement:
“I wanted to bring the magic and connection that made this record to this tour, so I felt it was important to pick the right rooms to play. I’ll be performing at intimate theaters this run with my incredible band. These are listening rooms — beautiful stages that truly showcase the music and allow me to get back to analog instrumentation. Plus, I’ve really missed playing guitar. I’ve got my brothers, Hermanos Gutiérrez, supporting me on tour as well. The tour starts in Austin and ends with a truly epic night in Fort Worth — aka Panther City — joined by my friend and Texas legend, Charley Crockett. Can’t wait to play this record for y’all live! Hope to see you out there.”

Wale is back. The D.C. rapper has unveiled the Every Blue Moon Tour, which will launch in September and run throughout November. Wale made the announcement in style, dropping a video in which he stands in front of, you guessed it, a blue moon. The rapper also previewed an instrumental from a brand new song. No title is provided, and Wale doesn’t let us hear the chorus, but it’s safe to assume the song will land on his upcoming eighth album. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 16.
Wale’s tour announcement is a bigger deal than it might initially seem. The rapper has been out of the spotlight for quite some time. His last album was Folarin’ II in 2021, and he hasn’t dropped many guest verses in the years since. There were several reasons why. For one, Wale claimed to have suffered some lingering effects from his 2020 bout with COVID. “That sh*t is real,” he told the Breakfast Club. “It feels like you smoked too much. For me, because I have legitimate issues with anxiety and stuff, everything was heightened.” He also noted that his introverted nature led to him getting off social media for over a year.
The Every Blue Moon Tour is going to be a special one for both the rapper and his fans. Not only will it give Wale a chance to promote his upcoming album, but it will be a celebration of his 2009 debut album, Attention Deficit. Live Nation reported that the rapper will be performing select songs from the album as a means of commemorating the fifteenth anniversary of its release. Wale’s feelings toward the album has changed significantly over the years. Attention Deficit underperformed commercially, and the rapper felt as though his music suffered as a result of him trying to go “mainstream.” He eventually made peace with the album and its place in his catalog.
“I think the music business was in such a polarizing state at that point,” Wale told the Washington Post in 2019. He now considers Attention Deficit to be a better and bolder album than its reputation suggests. “Songs like ‘90210,’ ‘Pretty Girls’ — I was one of the first people to put Gucci Mane on an album at the time,” the rapper noted. “That was different, especially as a new artist coming with an actual go-go sample. Wale told the outlet that he was eventually able to separate the album’s quality from its poor sales. “I honestly don’t think about it that much anymore,” he noted. “I kind of just bury it.”
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Uproxx cover star Wale (possibly due to complications from COVID-19), but that could be changing soon. The Maryland rapper returned to social media this week with the announcement of his Every Blue Moon Tour (named after his 2022 Under A Blue Moon Tour, apparently), which according to Live Nation, will celebrate both his upcoming eighth album AND the 15th anniversary of his debut, Attention Deficit.
Tickets will be available starting with artist presales starting tomorrow, Tuesday (August 13), with additional presales throughout the week, and the general sale beginning on Friday (August 16), at 10 AM local time. You can find more information here.

Sexyy Red has announced that she’s bringing along Kodak Black to perform on her upcoming Sexyy Red 4 President tour. Taking to Instagram on Friday, the “Get It Sexyy” rapper told fans about the exciting update. It comes after rumors surfaced, earlier this month, that she was considering canceling the tour due to low ticket sales.
“ITS DA HOOD HOTTEST PRINCESS AND DA PROJECT BABY!!! WE OUTSIDE FA DA TOUR TICKETS IN MY BIO!! GLEEYEE!! #SEXYYRED4PRESIDENT,” she wrote on Instagram, captioning a video of Kodak seemingly finding out about the situation. In the comments section, fans were stoked by the news. “She always on top istggg,” one fan posted. One more remarked: “This tour finna be hood asf… I gots to be there.” Others had more negative responses. “Nah a Trumper keep him home,” one user wrote. More argued she should’ve gone with Chief Keef instead.
For the tour, Sexyy will be performing across a total of 24 dates from August through October. In addition to Kodak, she’s already bringing along Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, and BlakeIANA as special guests. As for the rumors about low ticket sales, they stem from a Touring Data report from earlier this month. She recently denied the rumors in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “My fans are buying tickets we’re doin just fine we not cancelling no tour dis cancelling sh*t all cap,” she wrote. The tour is in promotion of Sexyy’s latest mixtape, In Sexyy We Trust, which she dropped back in May.
Check out Sexyy’s announcement that Kodak will be joining her on the road above. Be on the lookout for further updates on Sexyy Red and Kodak Black on HotNewHipHop.
With one of the best albums of 2023 with Ganger, and the impeccable momentum he’s gained since releasing its deluxe edition, it only makes sense that Veeze hits the road. This fall, he’ll headline “The Worst Tour Ever,” following the release of his new single “F*cked A Fan” featuring Rylo Rodriguez. This tour will span 35 cities across North America, kicking off in Ottawa, Canada on September 8th and ending on November 26th in Detroit, MI.
Special guests Karrahbooo, Wizz Havinn, and STAR BANDZ will join the line-up for “The Worst Tour Ever.” Moreover, it comes a year after the release of Ganger. Considering the hype around his name, we hope that the tour is an indication that a follow-up album is on the horizon.
Veeze will kick off the tour with a handful of Canadian shows in early September, beginning in Ottawa Ontario. From there, he’ll hit cities like Edmonton and Calgary before returning to the States to kick off his U.S. leg in October. “The Worst Tour Ever” will include stops in major cities, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The show will conclude in his hometown of Detroit on November 28th.
Special Guests
Though Veeze stands as one of the most refreshing voices in hip-hop ,“The Worst Tour Ever” will certainly bring along other promising up-and-comers. Karrahbooo, the Concrete Boyz rapper who stole the show on the collective’s On The Radar freestyle, will be joining the line-up, along with Florida’s own Wizz Havinn and “Yea Yea” artist STAR BANDZ. With such an eclectic group of openers, it’s looking like they’ll be bringing the party to every city.
Tickets for “The Worst Tour Ever” go on sale on July 26th at 12 PM local time. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets early, as shows are expected to sell out quickly. Tickets are available on gangerworldwide.com.

Lupe Fiasco is always thinking outside of the box. The rapper has been drawing critical praise for his new album Samurai, and he’s keeping the momentum going with a tour. Lupe dropped the tour dates in a way that fans have never seen before, though. The rapper decided to drop a new song called “Tickets,” which details how much fun fans are going to have on tour. Lupe even gets specific with what songs he’s going to play, and how fans are going to post videos on social media.
It’s an extremely clever exercise, and one that only a rapper of Lupe Fiasco’s caliber could pull off. He even drops the names of some of his most beloved (and polarizing) albums. “Scary hours, but I ain’t got no stage fright. We gon’ party parts of Cool, also keep it Wave-like,” he raps. “And you gonna get some food—Lasers what they ain’t like. But that ain’t right.” The song has a smooth instrumental and Lupe’s trademark flow. Basically, it’s a bonus track meant to get fans excited for when the rapper rolls through to their town. By that metric, it gets the job done.
The artwork for the single is the one sheet with all the tour dates. Lupe Fiasco also uploaded the dates to his Instagram, which starts in New York and runs all the way through to Los Angeles. Tickets are available for purchase on lupefiasco.com/shows, and “Tickets” is available on IG and YouTube. It’s nice seeing the rapper make headlines for his musical ingenuity, rather than his outspoken opinion. Lupe has been really opposed to Kendrick Lamar in the recent Dot vs. Drake battle, and has made it known. He dismissed the claim that he dislikes the Compton rapper, but continues to voice his support for Drake. He even said the 6 God was a better rapper.
More recently, Lupe Fiasco urged Drake to purchase a share of JAY-Z’s album Reasonable Doubt. “@champagnepapi will keep it safe for generations to come,” the rapper wrote on Instagram. “This is grail and influenced an innumerable amount of rappers… Let Drake make an offer so he can put in where it needs to be.” The 1996 album is known for being one of Kendrick Lamar’s all-time favorites, so many fans viewed this as yet another dig against the Compton legend.
