Tiger Woods Sued For $30 Million By Ex-Girlfriend: Details

Tiger Woods is currently in the news right now and it is all because of some developments involving his ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman. According to TMZ, Herman is now looking to sue Woods for $30 million. Overall, this is because she alleges that he tried to kick her out of his house. Although the two lived together for six years, Herman revealed in her lawsuit that she never paid rent. However, she claims to have performed “valuable services” which ultimately allowed her to earn her keep in the home.

Herman is accusing Tiger and his people of concocting an elaborate scheme to kick her out. Essentially, despite their break up, they had an oral agreement that allowed her to stay in the home for five more years. However, she was then convinced to pack her bags for a solo vacation. As TMZ reports, she then got to the airport where she was told that the locks had been changed at the house. Additionally, they allegedly took $40K from her and accused her of getting it through dubious means. Tiger’s people have issued a response claiming that no such oral agreement ever existed.

Yesterday, we also reported on another filing by Herman. Woods’ ex-girlfriend wants her NDA with Tiger revoked. She is trying to use the Speak Out Act, which makes all NDAs invalid when there is evidence of some sort of sexual abuse. Moreover, Herman was claiming that Tiger’s trust was intimidating her into not speaking out about the relationship. Overall, these are some massive insinuations, and it could all get very ugly.

Tiger Woods’ Ex-GF Seemingly Accuses Him Of Sexual Assault

Tiger Woods could potentially be at the center of a legal battle very soon, according to TMZ Sports. This is because his former girlfriend of six years is trying to take him to court. Although there are no confirmed reports of a breakup, it seems like Tiger and Erica Herman are no longer together. Overall, this seems obvious now as Herman wants to have her Non-Disclosure Agreement thrown out. As Herman claims, Tiger made her sign one in 2017 when they started dating.

Moreover, Herman feels like Woods and his legal team is intimidating her into keeping quiet about their relationship. Interestingly enough, in documents filed to the court, Herman claims the NDA should become invalid. This is due to a federal law called the Speak Out Act. Ultimately, this law was made to protect victims of alleged sexual harassment and abuse. Simply put, if there is evidence of sexual abuse within a relationship, then an NDA is immediately thrown out.

So far, there are no specifics on the alleged abuse that Herman may have faced. However, based on these court filings, her insinuations are extremely clear. In order for a judge to throw out the NDA, they will need clear-cut evidence that there was foul play here. Otherwise, Woods’ NDA will stand up in court. Overall, this is a very troubling situation that has many asking questions about Woods. If the NDA is subsequently thrown out, then exact details of Woods’ alleged abuse would probably immediately follow suit.

Tiger Woods Apologizes For Tampon Prank

Tiger Woods recently apologized for a tampon prank on Justin Thomas on Thursday (February 16) during the Genesis Invitational. Moreover, the golf billionaire slipped Thomas a tampon into his hand when the latter failed to outdrive him. While Woods said that it was all in good fun, he expressed that he didn’t realize how others might take offense. He explained to reporters that “it was supposed to be all fun and games and obviously it hasn’t turned out that way. If I offended anybody, it was not the case, it was just friends having fun.”

Furthermore, many took issue with the 47-year-old’s prank, calling it juvenile and potentially disrespectful. After all, many could interpret this as Woods establishing his manhood over Thomas or insinuating some gendered bias. However, both laughed at the prank, and many online believe Tiger has no reason to apologize. “Luv yew @TigerWoods,” one user wrote on Twitter. “Everyone offended stinks. There’s no way real people were offended. Only fake Twitter offended.” On the other hand, others expressed confusion over why this specific instance shook people. Of course, people draw their own personal lines, but even socially progressive folks raised their eyebrows a bit.

Still, plenty of people voiced reasonable criticism of the prank and brought up Tiger’s relationship history. “Sports commentators laughing, and the fact that Tiger Woods had the tampon in his pocket, ready for the right moment to disrespect women, again,” one tweeter expressed. “Yeah, I guess Tiger might want to get a refresher on all that therapy he had after his first wife discovered what his other hobby was.” Another wrote, “Tiger Woods handing a tampon as a form of trash talk between friends on or off tv was offensive and he should have apologized. If you’re wondering ‘WhO wAs OfFeNdEd’ it’s me. We can talk about it too.”

Overall, it’s another case of both opinions clashing strongly, quickly, and antagonistically on social media. For what it’s worth, Woods actually seemed quite choked up during his apology. Tiger Woods was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on Wednesday evening, and was escorted into the hall by his daughter, Sam, who gave a moving speech as the induction presenter for the 82-time PGA TOUR winner and 15-time major champion. Fellow generational athletes like as Tom Brady, Serena Williams, Michael Phelps, Jerry Rice, Annika Sorenstam, and Jack Nicklaus spoke about Woods’ legacy as one of the greatest sports figures of all time during the live induction ceremony transmission.

Susie Maxwell Berning, an 11-time LPGA Tour winner and three-time U.S. Women’s Open champion, will join Woods in the 2022 induction class, as will former PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem and golf course designer/architect Marion Hollins. Tiffany & Co. constructed the Hall of Fame’s new inductee trophy, which was handed to the 2022 honorees.

For the first time, the World Golf Hall of Fame presented two new exceptional service honors. Renee Powell received the inaugural Charlie Sifford Award from Southern Company (for her dedication to advancing diversity in golf), while Peter Ueberroth and the late Dick Ferris were recognized for their services to golf with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
