Joe Budden Calls Drake A “B*tch” For His Beef With DeMar DeRozan

Drake is in the middle of another beef as of last weekend. This time it’s with NBA all-star forward DeMar DeRozan. The Boy was partially at the Raptors game on November 2 for Vince Carter’s jersey retirement ceremony. Coincidentally, the Sacramento Kings were in town, which is the team that the former Raptor currently plays for. So, after hearing clips of Drake labeling DeMar a “goof,” threatening to rip down the player’s jersey from the rafters if it gets enshrined, and saying derogatory things under his breath, it’s clear he was there to make his presence felt.

DeMar has since responded, both in a post-game press conference and with a cryptic IG Story post. Overall, it seems that these two are really at odds with one another after being around each other for almost 10 years. It might be why Drake is feeling some type of way, especially since they both became stars together. That is the angle that Joe Budden’s panel took and most of them could understand why the rapper is upset.

The Joe Budden Podcast Gets Into It Over Drake Versus DeMar DeRozan

However, and to no one’s surprise, Joe Budden himself completely disagreed. He mentions the “Not Like Us” cameo and essentially said that if he’s had a friend who had a problem with him doing a similar thing and didn’t want to discuss it and move on, then he wants no parts of that friendship anymore. The Joe Budden Podcast argued that it was the way DeMar emphasized Kendrick Lamar’s point in the video that had them seeing Drake’s side. Joe did admit that Drizzy is allowed to feel how he wants to. But it’s the “ability to navigate the conflict” or lack thereof he has an issue with. That’s when the crescendo of his argument came as Joe labeled Drake a “b****” for his actions during the broadcast and on the sidelines.

We are sure that quote is going to ruffle some feathers. What are your thoughts on Joe Budden calling Drake a “b****” for how he’s handling the DeMar DeRozan situation? Do you think he’s strictly hating, or do you agree that the rapper is going about this the wrong way? Are you on The Boy’s side or the NBA star’s side? Joe Budden Slightly Changes His Tune On DDG: “I Like You A Little Bit”

DDG’s breakup with Halle Bailey stirred up some discourse online, and especially on The Joe Budden Network. The Pontiac, Michigan rapper and content creator broke the news on social media, saying, “We believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared…. We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support.”

Budden pretty much disregarded the breakup letter and sort of went off on DDG. “Who the f*** is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything?” That led to a heated reply, “Pump it up went gold after 20 years u old b****.Budden would then clap back, “Every time I see his name, it’s attached to hers, and it’s typically in some clout chaser fashion. So that makes me look at him a different way, and hopefully, I get to look at him a lot less now that they’ve broken up.”

Joe Budden Has A Change Of Heart About DDG

Now, though, the podcast host seems to be having a slight change of heart about his younger foe. On the latest episode, Budden addressed the recent back-and-forth and says that he’s been doing “research,” according to AllHipHop. After doing this, he now has some more respect for him. “I like you a little bit.” He says that they share some similarities in terms of pursuing music and content creation, as well as dealing with criticism for breakups. “The same way I don’t know s*** about him, he clearly don’t know s*** about me. So, do I want to come in here and use my powers for evil and f***ing just end this n**** for sending all these bots my way,” Budden said.

What are your thoughts on Joe Budden changing his mind about DDG? Do you think these two will eventually collab? Or do you think the Michigan native will have a negative response to this? Joe Budden Podcast Debates If Drake Is In A Position To Go At JAY-Z

Overall, 2024 is a year to forget for Drake. He was publicly embarrassed by Kendrick Lamar and some of his output is some of the worst of his career. However, it seems like he may be heading into 2025 with another titan in his sights. At the top of the week, Drake interestingly posted the infamous 2014 elevator quarrel between JAY-Z and Solange to his Instagram Story. It was a weird and inexplicable debacle that seems to not be an issue for anyone that was involved. Even with that being known, there’s some speculation going on that is suggesting that Drizzy’s trying to use it as ammunition against Hov.

Some think that this has something to do with Jay selecting Kendrick for the Super Bowl Halftime Show, but it’s murky. Overall, Drake has had issues with the Roc Nation boss previously, so it’s not too surprising in that regard. However, it is in that same breath because The Boy tried to take down K. Dot and it fired back in a pretty devastating fashion. Of course, there’s also the Pusha T takedown from a few years ago as well.

The Joe Budden Podcast Debates Drake & JAY-Z

Some of these points were made on a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast while debating whether or not Drake should go at one of the G.O.A.T.s. One person on the panel thinks because he’s been so dominant in terms of sales and plays, his ego is clouding his judgement and it’s causing him to lose to the “big dogs.” They also brought up Hov’s past battles with a Nas, for example. Joe Budden thinks Drake should take the Nicki Minaj approach and go for the corporations (Roc Nation in this case) that he feels are sabotaging him. Both are pretty sound arguments, so we need to hear your answers to the following questions.

What are your thoughts on Joe Budden and the panel debating whether or not Drake should start feuding with JAY-Z? Whose argument do you agree with more and why? Do you think Drizzy was calling out Hov a few days ago? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Joe Budden Claims He Has A Better Mixtape Discography Than Lil Wayne & 50 Cent

There is no doubt that mixtapes are still a great indicator of a rapper’s success and mystique. Even though websites like DatPiff aren’t as hot as they once were, there was a certain magic to that period in hip-hop. So many artists were able to build incredible discographies on platforms like that, and some of theirs are even considered classics. Speaking of the latter, that was a topic up for debate on the most recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast. Overall, the entire panel had different answers to who they felt had the best discography of mixtapes.

Some of the usual MCs like Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Gucci Mane, Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, and Fabolous came up in the debate. However, right at the top of the discussion, Joe Budden immediately said crowned himself the king of these sorts of projects. “Oh, that’s easy, me,” the former rapper said. At first, no one really paid any attention to their host. All of those other names that we mentioned were thrown out there way before Budden’s name would eventually come into play.

Joe Budden Is Confident He’s Got Better Material Than Wayne & Fif

It’s not too much of a surprise that he would say such a thing, as he tends to come across as a prideful guy. But still, it’s a pretty hot take. Shockingly, though, one of the co-hosts had one that rivaled Budden’s, as he said he feels Wayne had too many misses in his mixtape catalog, essentially disqualifying him from being the G.O.A.T. in this case. Toward the end of the clip, Budden did sort of change his stance on the matter, saying that he couldn’t really rank in order of who has the greatest run of tapes. Overall, though, his name did make into the best of the best with Jeezy, Fab, Wayne, and 50.

What are your thoughts on Joe Budden claiming he’s got a better mixtape catalog than Lil Wayne and 50 Cent? Do you agree or disagree with his hot take? Who do you think has the best discography in that case? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments.
