Nipsey Hussle’s Baby Mama Allegedly Has “Unapproved” Recording Of Their Daughter

Nipsey Hussle’s ex, Tanisha Foster, continues to battle the late artist’s estate in court. Over the years, their legal back and forth has primarily surrounded the custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Emani. Most recently, Emani’s legal advocate, William Spiller, accused Foster of being in possession of an “unlawful” recording of the teen.

Though it remains unclear exactly what the recording is, Spiller notes that any conversation he has with Emani is protected under the law, and her having the recording is in violation of their attorney-client privilege. He claims that she’s failed to relinquish the tape, which he calls “surreptitious, unlawful, [and] unapproved.”

“It cannot be stressed enough that such a recording is unlawful,” Spiller emphasizes. He wants sanctions adding up to $2,500 filed against her, but according to her, she doesn’t have to pay up. Foster is now working to try to get Spiller removed from his position as Emani’s guardian ad litem, though she failed to specify a reason why. Nipsey Hussle’s family members are Emani’s primary legal guardians, after a judge ruled in 2019 not to give Foster guardianship. Instead, Nipsey’s siblings Samantha Smith and Sam Asghedom as well as his mother Angelique Smith, were given custody. At the time, they described Foster as being “unfit” to be Emani’s primary guardian.

His estate has also gone back and forth with the mother of his other child in the past, Lauren London. Regardless, both of his children are expected to inherit around $1 million from their late father. London and Foster continue to celebrate Nipsey after his 2021 death, with various heartfelt social media posts. What do you think of the legal battle between Nipsey’s ex and his estate? Nipsey Hussle’s BM Grieves In Heartbreaking Message: “I Would Have Took Those Bullets”

The mother of Nipsey Hussle’s firstborn child, Tanisha Foster, has faced scrutiny since the rapper’s death in 2019. Foster faced significant pushback from Nip’s family as she tried to gain custody of their daughter, Emani Asghedom. However, reports of the custody battle also led to public scrutiny surrounding her parenting. Still, she remained relatively lowkey since Nipsey’s passing.

This week, she broke her silence in a series of heartbreaking messages shared on her Instagram Story. “I miss my child’s father,” she wrote. “I wish he was here to see my accomplishments.” Though Nip dated Lauren London until the day he died, Foster explained how she and Nipsey continued to have a strong bond due to their history together as parents and friends. Still, since Nip’s passing, she faced strong criticism from his fans whenever she tried to post about him on Instagram.

Foster shared a lengthy note on her Instagram Story where she addressed her relationship with Nip. “You guys are fans of my child’s father and when I post him it’s a problem,” she wrote, addressing those who’ve felt like her tributes to Nip have been a slight towards Lauren London. “It’s almost 4 years of him being gone so think [about] how I feel,” she continued. “I met him in my teens and he been my roll dog every since.”

Afterward, she explained that she spoke to Nipsey just a half hour before he died. “I spoke with him 30 min b4 his death, I was one of the last persons he spoke with,” Foster continued. “I wish I was there I would have took those bullets,” she added.

In a few months, the family of the late Nipsey Hussle will be going to trial against Hussle’s ex-girlfriend Tanisha Foster. Hussle fathered 14-year-old Emani with Foster. It’s been three years since the “Last Time That I Checc’d” rapper’s untimely death, and both sides have yet to come up with a solution of who will get custody of Emani.

In November of last year, Nipsey’s mom, brother, and sister met with Foster for mediation but failed to reach an agreement. Shortly after Nipsey was murdered, the family was granted custody of Emani due to claims that Foster has a history of alcohol addiction, substance abuse, and volatile actions. Foster agreed with the family at the time but now insists that the ruling be reversed, citing she agreed to relinquish custody of Emani because she could not take care of her financially.

Foster stated the case.

“There are no circumstances or events in my life that would disqualify me for regaining my exclusive role as Emani’s parent.  There is no longer any need for guardianship.  Emani routinely asks me when are she and I going to be able to live together.  She longs to be with me as her mother.  I am begging the court to terminate the existing guardianship.”

The trial is set for April 27 in Los Angeles. Hussle’s family still believes that Foster is unfit to be the guardian of Emani as she will have access to her daughter’s two-million-dollar inheritance if she is granted custody.
