Stephen A. Smith Reacts To Chiefs Comeback

Stephen A. Smith is easily one of the most famous commentators when it comes to the sports world. Overall, he is someone who shares his opinions in a very entertaining way, and that has always attracted people. He has been running ESPN for years at this point, and First Take remains one of the biggest and best shows on the network. That said, Smith has been in Arizona as of late for the Super Bowl. Consequently, fans have been eager to hear what he would say about the big game. After all, last night’s match turned out to be an instant classic between two juggernauts.

By now, most fans know that the game was won by the Kansas City Chiefs. Overall, it was an amazing performance by Patrick Mahomes, who led a second-half comeback. Additionally, players like Isiah Pacheco were special throughout the match and contributed to a memorable win. Now, Mahomes is already considered to be a legend of the sport, while Jalen Hurts still has time to potentially get to a similar point. Either way, it was a great night for sports fans.

Stephen A. Speaks

As for Stephen A., he had an interesting reaction to the Super Bowl. In the clip above, Molly Qerim asked Stephen A. whether or not this was a Chiefs comeback or an Eagles collapse. Smith went on to say this was actually a Chiefs comeback. This is interesting as typically, Smith goes with the negative approach. However, this time around, he gave the Chiefs their flowers. Furthermore, he also praised head coach Andy Reid for his game. “It comes down to Andy Reid being a superior coach to Nick Sirianni in the second half, and Patrick Mahomes being that superstar that he is,” Smith said of the Chiefs.

If you are a fan of football, then last night’s game was a true delight to watch. Sure, it may have been difficult to stomach if you’re an Eagles fan, but no matter what, you got to witness greatness. Let us know what you thought of the Super Bowl, in the comments down below. So Many Fans Are Making The Same Nintendo-Related Joke About Rihanna’s High-Wire Super Bowl Performance

While it seems that plenty of fans are divided about Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show performance (some loved it, some were disappointed, and many were distracted by her baby bump reveal), one group of viewers is having a field day with Photoshop thanks to her high-wire act.

Rihanna began and ended her set standing on a platform that was suspended high over the field. Her dancers flanked her on similar platforms. And for a certain kind of fan, the whole setup wound up looking vaguely familiar…

That’s right: Rihanna’s a Super Smash Bro. now (give us the DLC, Nintendo!).

For those who don’t know, Super Smash Bros. is a Nintendo fighting game series that brings together characters from the company’s most popular properties (Super Mario Bros., The Legend Of Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Starfox, to name a few) to beat the hell out of each other on… suspended platforms hovering over a bottomless pit. The goal of the game, unlike many fighting games, is for fighters to throw their opponents off the stage — the last man (or Pokémon or anthropomorphic animal or whatever-the-hell-Kirby-is) standing wins.

So many fans had a ball making the same Nintendo-related jokes and adding graphics from the game, but there’s one, clear winner here:

Jay-Z Helps Blue Ivy Take Pictures At Super Bowl

Even the best rapper in the world has to step back to let his true star shine. Jay-Z recently helped his daughter Blue Ivy out with some pictures at this year’s Super Bowl. Moreover, onlookers spotted the father-daughter duo on the field before the big game began. As Ivy adjusted her hoodie, hair, and other clothing to look snazzy, Hov crouched down, almost sitting, as he searched for the right angle. Then, the 11-year-old jumped up into the air, and it seems like Jay got the pic. They looked at the phone so that the RENAISSANCE heiress could approve of the post. Who knows how many retakes they took, although with the rap legend’s skill, maybe not any at all.

Moreover, the New York artist an entrepreneur helped Rihanna organize and execute her Super Bowl halftime performance. After all, he handles entertainment ventures and live performance bookings for the NFL. During an interview, RiRi spoke on how her son inspired her for her show. “When you become a mom, there’s just something that happens that makes you feel like you could take on the world. You could do anything. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world,” she explained. Though it’s been seven years since her last performance, she felt there was no better time than now. “It’s important for me to do this this year, it’s important for representation. It’s important for my son.”

Maybe Jay-Z finds similar inspiration in Blue Ivy. Still, that family is chock-full of greatness and points of inspiration. Furthermore, Jay-Z recently gushed about his wife Beyoncé’s album RENAISSANCE and how it shifted the culture. However, he did so while acknowledging that its loss for Album of the Year at this year’s Grammys means little. “I remove myself from the process and hope they just get it right,” he told Elliot Wilson in a Tidal interview. “It got to the point where I was like, it’s just a marketing thing. You go, you got an album out and it could help the sales go up.”

“Look what [RENAISSANCE has] done to the culture,” he continued. “Look how the energy of the world moved. They play her whole album in the club. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that. The whole entire joint — like, everything?! Every remix is amazing. Everyone’s inspired. It has inspired the world. Every remix is better than the other one. From anybody, we’re just finding these joints out in the street… It’s inspiring creativity. You know how The Black Album had The Grey Album [Danger Mouse’s 2004 mashup project]? And the one with Radiohead? It was called Jaydiohead [Minty Fresh Beats’ 2009 mashup]. When it just inspires creativity, that’s an album. That has to be Album Of The Year. It has to be.” Regardless of your thoughts on that, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on Jay-Z.

Rihanna’s ASL Performer Justina Miles Was The Star Of Super Bowl LVII

Unless you entered a “darkness retreat” like Aaron Rodgers, you know that Rihanna was the headliner of the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona last night, February 12. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35, but Rihanna (and everything in her orbit) remain undefeated.

Rih ripped through 12 songs — the final of 39 setlist versions she filtered through in recent months — and she even revealed she’s pregnant with her and ASAP Rocky’s second child (as confirmed by her reps to The Hollywood Reporter).

Rihanna had teased to Nate Burleson ahead of the game that she was “thinking about bringing someone” out as a special guest. Nobody expected the special guest would be an unborn child.

A different special guest that became the internet’s darling: American Sign Language (ASL) performer Justina Miles.

Miles was technically initially introduced during Apple Music’s halftime show presser last Thursday, February 9, where she shared her excitement for signing Sheryl Lee Ralph’s pre-game performance of “Lift Every Voice And Sing,” also known as the Black national anthem. She called it “important” to be able to “bring that empowerment to millions and millions of Black deaf people all over the country who have never really seen that before.”

Miles separately touched on signing Rihanna’s halftime show to CNBC’s Make It: “I value the opportunity to make it possible for all deaf people to enjoy these songs and not have them miss out on the full Super Bowl experience.”

Donald Trump Gave His Unsolicited Opinion On Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, Which He Somehow Really, Really Hated

Donald Trump is an elite troll, so why would he sit out Super Bowl LVII? He was even teed up by Texas congressman and Trump supporter Ronny Jackson’s Rihanna slander last week.

As relayed by The Hill, Trump gave his unsolicited opinion on Rihanna’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show last night, February 12.

“EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language.” Trump added, “So much for her ‘Stylist!’”

The latter bit was a reference to his Truth Social post from Thursday, February 9, again noted by The Hill: “Without her ‘Stylist’ she’d be NOTHING. Bad everything, and NO TALENT!”

Trump is likely holding a grudge over Rihanna’s consistent history of criticizing him, including her very fashionable celebration of Trump losing the 2020 US presidential election.

California Representatives Maxine Waters and Ted Lieu came to Rihanna’s defense:

Outside of the political arena, the response to Rihanna’s 12-song halftime performance was overwhelmingly positive.

The Fenty boss and nine-time Grammy winner revealed she’s pregnant with her second child, which her representatives later confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Rihanna and ASAP Rocky welcomed their first child together, a son, last May. And nobody enjoyed Rihanna’s dazzling return to the stage more than Rocky.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. Lights Up The “Philly Blunt”

Patrick Mahomes Sr. has a lot of reasons to be proud of his son. Of course, Mahomes was playing in the Super Bowl last night against the Philadelphia Eagles. Overall, this was a very entertaining game in which the Chiefs won on a last-second field goal. The final score was 38-35, and it included three touchdown passes from Mahomes. Furthermore, he ran for 44 yards which is pretty impressive when you consider how he twisted his ankle. In every way possible, this was simply a fantastic Super Bowl that fans will remember forever.

Not to mention, this is one of those games that will define Mahomes’ legacy. Now, the 27-year-old has two Super Bowl titles to his name. That puts him just two away from tying Joe Montana, and it puts him five away from Tom Brady. The chase is on and there is a real sense that he can someday smash all of the records in front of him. Patrick Mahomes Sr. certainly believes in him, and he was definitely having fun with the celebratory libations last night.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. Has Fun

In the video clip above, Mahomes Sr. can be seen smoking a cigar. Just a couple of weeks ago, he told reporters that he was “smoking that Joe Burrow.” Subsequently, fans were excited to hear what he would say this time around. When he was ultimately asked what he was smoking, he said it was a “Philly Blunt.” Overall, it was a humorous thing to say, and the commenters on the tweet above agree. Patrick Mahomes Sr. has become a star of this Chiefs playoff run, and fans will be hoping for him to pop out at the parade.

As for his son, there is a lot to celebrate this morning. He won the second Super Bowl of his career, and it is a victory he will cherish for a long time. Hopefully, Mahomes can get back to the Super Bowl soon, and get that third one before he turns 30. That would make for a huge story and would immediately catapult him as one of the greatest ever. Let us know what you thought of the Super Bowl, in the comments down below.

Rihanna’s Baby Bump Is On Full Display In New Up-Close Photo From Super Bowl

When the world found out that Rihanna was selected as the Halftime show performer for the 2023 Super Bowl, excitement immediately began to fly. Seeing as she’s had nine months to recover from the birth of her first baby, and delivered two beautiful new songs on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, many thought an album announcement would be tied into her concert. What we obviously didn’t expect from the 34-year-old was the revelation of another pregnancy.

Shortly after the Bad Gal sang some of her greatest hits like “All of the Lights,” “Rude Boy,” and “Diamonds,” the internet began speculating that she’s with child again. Past headliners have performed undeniably intense choreography during their set. Rih, on the other hand, kept hers to a minimum. Viewers couldn’t help but notice the love she continuously showed to her budding belly.

After the Halftime show wrapped, a rep for the Barbadian singer confirmed to various outlets that she’s pregnant. This marks the second child for her and boyfriend A$AP Rocky. At the end of December, they shared the little one’s face on TikTok, though we still haven’t learned his name.

During her first pregnancy, Rihanna took plenty of bold style risks, putting her curvaceous figure on full display. She was obviously confident in showing off her body while expecting. Still, many details about her family life, including the baby’s gender, were kept under wraps until his birth last May. It remains unclear if she’ll take a different approach this time around. Thankfully, we’re already starting to see adorable maternity photos circulating online.

The Fenty designer’s manicurist for her Super Bowl show, Kimmie Kyees, shared a Reel on her Instagram late on Sunday (February 12) night. The clip begins with a revelation of the products she used on the “Lift Me Up” vocalist’s hands. Afterward, we see Rih singing and a close-up of her bright red nails cradling her baby bump.

Rihanna obviously isn’t the first iconic performer to take the stage at the Super Bowl. As it turns out, she relied on some of those who came before her while seeking inspiration. Specifically, the expecting mother watched Beyoncé’s 2013 concert that saw her bringing out Destiny’s Child to stun the crowd alongside her on repeat. Read more about that here, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

LeBron James Hit With Wave Of Boos At Super Bowl

LeBron James has been having a good week. His Lakers made some massive moves at the trade deadline, and now, they are looking to make a playoff push. Additionally, James broke the NBA record for most career points. He surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and now, it is a lot harder to advocate against him in the GOAT debate. When you add all of these things together, one can imagine that James is feeling good about life. After all, he is one of the most powerful athletes in the world, which has to be a nice feeling.

Last night, LeBron found himself at the Super Bowl. This game was played between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Overall, it was a fantastic match. Although, it ended with a Chiefs victory on a last-second field goal. It was a result that many were not expecting as most pundits had the Eagles taking this one. However, Patrick Mahomes had a legacy-defining second half where he was able to win the game on one ankle.

LeBron Gets Less Than A Warm Welcome

As for LeBron, he wasn’t exactly welcomed at the stadium in Arizona. In the clip above, James and his wife were shown on the big screen throughout the stadium. Although, he was immediately hit with a wave of boos. As we already know, James is a very polarizing figure, however, these boos seemed just a tad surprising. This is especially true since it had only been just a few days since his record-breaking night. Regardless, fans at the Super Bowl can be a pretty rowdy bunch, and this was another example of that. Hopefully, LeBron didn’t take it too hard.

Interestingly enough, James had some issues with the ending of the Super Bowl. On Twitter, he called out the officials for their pass interference call that ultimately gave the Chiefs a game-winning first down. While many rules analysts said the call was justified, others felt like it was a cheap way for the Chiefs to win. No matter what, it was a very entertaining game that had us paying attention until the very end.
