Travis Scott Thinks Back To A Car Ride With Stormi And How That Inspired “UTOPIA”

Travis Scott has revealed a lot to us and the rest of the music world over the past few hours with his feature in GQ magazine. From giving us an inside look at his thoughts on the Astroworld tragedy to his desire to hit the books and become an architect, and even turning UTOPIA into a musical, there is a lot to unpack. Travis is clearly one of the biggest rappers in the world and that is because of his excellent record. Fans waited five years and they got a GRAMMY-nominated tape. What was so cool about UTOPIA was that it ditched the traditional formula that the Houston artist has put forth.

While it does draw heavy inspiration from Kanye West’s Yeezus, it still feels uniquely Travis. One of the reasons for that is due in part to a car ride with his daughter, Stormi. In the interview, he details how he brought back the 2013-2014 La Flame era that many longtime fans would call it. “I was actually riding with Stormi… we were getting fireworks in Houston… Her favorite song is “Mamacita”—it’s like, her favorite song of all time. She plays it all the time in the car, over and over and over, and that’s from this mixtape Days Before Rodeo.”

Travis Scott Had A Special Moment With Stormi

He continues, “Just hearing that song over and over just reminded me of that time. I wanted to get back to the essence of who Travis Scott was as, like, a creator of music and sound, he said. “To just go back to the core, what got me here, which is producing and creating and the raw format of how I’ve started making music. And I got so excited about that.” It sounds like a special moment for the daddy and daughter and you can certainly hear elements of that time in his career. Prime examples of this are “LOOOVE,” “LOST FOREVER,” and “HYAENA.”

What are your initial thoughts on Travis Scott revealing that Stormi helped inspire UTOPIA? Do you think there would have been any chance of any older Travis without the car ride? Do you prefer his new sound or older stuff more? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section. Kylie Jenner Shares Side-By-Side Comparison Of Aire & Stormi

Kylie Jenner shared a new video of her and Travis Scott’s latest child, Aire, on social media, this week. In the clip, Jenner dances with her 1-year-old as Stephen Sanchez’s “Until I Found You” plays in the background. In further posts on her Instagram Story, Jenner posted side-by-side photos of Aire and Stormi. The pictures were originally posted next to one another by a fan account.

Jenner gave birth to her second child back in February 2022. She waited over a month before showing him on social media. Additionally, she and Scott waited until just last month to finally revealed his name. They had originally called him Wolf, but confirmed that they would be changing his name.

Kylie’s Video With Aire

Jenner explained their dilemma during an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Cordon in September. She revealed that they figured the perfect name would come to them as soon as they saw Aire, but it simply didn’t happen. “We haven’t officially legally changed the name. His name is still Wolf. His passport’s Wolf, but that isn’t gonna be his name. We’re just waiting,” Jenner said. She elaborated during an episode of The Kardashians: “I thought it would just come to us when we saw him and it didn’t, and 24 hours before we had to register him, Khloé [Kardashian] said, ‘What about Wolf?’ and I liked the ‘W W’ so we just put Wolf Webster in the moment and right after I signed the birth certificate, I thought, ‘What did I just do?’”

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott began dating back in April 2017. They welcomed their first child, Stormi, in February 2018. They broke up just one year later. In the time since, they’ve been on and off again as a couple. According to the NY Post, things are currently on rocky ground between the two. A source tells them, “Kylie is very focused on her kids and her business. She is not a big partier, Travis is the opposite. He likes to party. They definitely have different focuses. They always did.” However, they clarified that “this is probably not the end” of Jenner and Scott’s complicated relationship.

Kylie Jenner Announced The Birth Of Her Second Child With Travis Scott

Stormi Webster is officially a big sister. Earlier this afternoon, Kylie Jenner announced the birth of her second child with Travis Scott by sharing a black and white photo of the new baby’s hand. She shared the birth date, 2/2/22, indicating her second child was born last week, and also included a blue heart emoji, leading many people to believe her new baby is a boy. Since TMZ is also reporting the baby is a boy, it seems like that’s probably the case, but Kylie hasn’t officially confirmed the gender yet on her own.

At least this is some positive news for Travis Scott, who has understandably been lying low since the horrific tragedy at Astroworld last year, a festival that left nine attendees dead. Looks like the fans who were convinced Kylie had her baby back in January were just a little premature. Congratulations to the happy couple, and knowing the way the Kardashian content machine rolls, we’ll be getting photos of this little guy some time in the very near future. Here’s hoping that after witnessing what Kanye and Kim are going through right now with custody of their children, Travis and Kylie are able to keep things cordial as they co-parent.
