Stephen A. Smith Declares His NBA MVP

Stephen A. Smith is ready to cast his vote for the NBA MVP Award. The ESPN First Take crew debated who they believe the winner of the award should be. Smith believes that one player is above the rest. That one player being Philadelphia Sixers star Joel Embiid. Embiid has had a fantastic season. But not everyone is sold on Embiid being the MVP of the 2022-23 season. JJ Redick believes that Giannis is deserving of the award. While it feels that only three names are in the running for the award. Smith gives his reason for choosing Embiid.

The sports media icon says the answer is simple. Smith mentioned that Embiid is the most valuable to his team. It makes sense to give someone an award describing value when you feel that way. Smith believes that if Embiid wasn’t on the floor, that the Sixers wouldn’t be the team you see today. It’s hard to argue with what the Bucks and Denver Nuggets have built around Giannis and Jokic. The Bucks are just two years removed from an NBA Championship victory.

Stephen A. Smith Believes Embiid Is The Deserving MVP

The players involved in the MVP race have more important things to worry about. The NBA Playoffs will officially begin with the play-in tournament this week. With the opening round set to begin on Saturday. All three MVP front runners believe their team has a chance to earn the NBA Championship. Winning the NBA title would potentially outweigh an MVP nomination. However, the honor is still an excellent accolade for any player.

The MVP debate has been a long one. I think we’re all ready to just see the winner and move on. However, the discussions will still be going strong after the decision is made. Although someone is going to get snubbed, and that will cause even more chaos in the MVP debate. Additionally, the three athletes at the top of everyone’s MVP race are all deserving award. But only one will come out on top. For Stephen A. Smith, the buck stops with Embiid. For the latest news regarding the NBA, keep it right here at HNHH.

Stephen A. Smith’s Hilarious Response To Knicks Tweet

Stephen A. Smith has never tried to hide his NBA fandom. The sports media legend has always lived and died with the New York Knicks. Fans have seen Smith’s tirades on the franchise when they underperform. Or when they miss out on a prized free agent. Something that the Knicks have done a lot of in recent years. However, the team seems to have hit the jackpot with Jalen Brunson. Brunson has been one of the most important free-agent signings of the past season.

No matter how they perform, Smith will always be a Knicks fan. Which is why his response to a tweet from the team’s official account was the perfect response. The Knicks sent out a tweet Thursday asking fans to show themselves in their best Knicks gear. However, Smith had a better idea. In his response to the team, Smith delivered an all-time video clip. Have you ever wondered what it would look like to see Smith suited up for the Knicks? Have no fear, your dreams may now come true.

Stephen A. Smith Shows Excellent Handles In Video Clip

Everything about the video is phenomenal. From the iconic hairline all the way down to the high sock sneaker combination. Smith’s video appeared to show him in his “NBA 2K” form. Showing everything from his Kyrie-like handles to even his dead-eye shooting that mirrored Curry. The video was enough for Knicks fans to wonder if Smith can really hoop like that. While I’m sure, he might not have the identical skill set. But something tells me Stephen A. Smith could put up points in a hurry in his day.

The video was an excellent reminder of not taking yourself so seriously. Smith is not for his brash personality and strong opinions. However, there are moments when Smith can show a lighter side. Smith should be excited, as his Knicks will be back in the NBA Playoffs this season. Do you believe Smith’s Knicks can make a deep run in the Eastern Conference? Or will the media personality have his heart broken once again by his favorite team? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Stephen A. Smith Reveals Who Has Earned His MVP Vote: Video

Stephen A. Smith is ready to make his 2023 NBA MVP vote. The larger-than-life media personality believes Joel Embiid has been the best this season. Smith’s opinion is hard to argue. Especially after Embiid’s performance last night. The Sixers star dazzled fans last night in the team’s 103-101 victory over the Boston Celtics. Embiid finished the game with 52 points and 13 rebounds. A performance that even had Embiid’s head coach Doc Rivers ready to give his superstar the award.

The MVP debate has been hotly contested during the second half of the season. Fans have had a hard time deciding between Nikola Jokic and Embiid. Jokic is the back-to-back winner of the MVP award. Which has many thinking it is time for the league to crown a new MVP. It wouldn’t come as surprise to anyone if Jokic won the award again this season. However, after last night’s performance, it feels as if the award is Embiid’s for the first time in his career. Smith made his choice aware to the public on Wednesday’s edition of ESPN’s First Take.

Stephen A. Smith Says It’s Time To Crown Embiid

On Tuesday, Stephen A. Smith named the Boston Celtics his top team in the NBA. So when your top team loses to an MVP candidate, the answer is clear. Embiid has had a monster season in the scoring category. The Sixers star’s career scoring average is 27 points per game. This season Embiid is averaging nearly 34 points per game. A huge jump in scoring production. However, the one thing on Embiid’s mind isn’t the MVP award. The superstar big man is hungry for his first chance at an NBA Championship.

Embiid’s 2023 campaign has been one for the record books. The seven-year veteran should be able to celebrate a great season even without an NBA Finals appearance. Just don’t let him know that. The MVP race is just days from wrapping up, and voters are letting their opinions be heard. Is Smith correct in his choice for MVP? Or does Jokic deserve the award for a third straight season? Maybe you even have someone other than the two frontrunners who deserve the nomination. Let us know your thoughts on the MVP race in the comment section below. Stephen A. Smith Lists His Top 5 NBA Teams Of The Season

Stephen A. Smith has never been afraid to voice his opinion. In fact, Smith being vocal about his beliefs is why he is where he is today. You might not always agree with him. But Smith stands strong in his statements. On Tuesday, Smith gave fans his thoughts on the best teams in the NBA. There are many talented teams in the league, but only one can be number one. So, who does Smith believe is the greatest team this season?

Smith has decided that the Boston Celtics are above the rest. The Celtics are the reigning Eastern Conference Champions. So the decision to have them as the best team isn’t far-fetched. Rounding out Smith’s top 5 are the Bucks, Suns, Sixers, and Nuggets. The Bucks are currently the number one overall seed in the East. So, Milwaukee fans could have a bone to pick with Smith. The entire list comprises of three teams from the East and two from the West.

Stephen A. Smith Believes In The Boston Celtics

Given this list, one can assume that Smith may believe the NBA champion resides in the East. While the East is top-heavy, the West could be considered a more contender-heavy conference. With many competent teams still competing for a playoff spot in the West. However, the West could be a tough battle, leading to a tired team competing with a fresher team from the East. The Celtics have proven to be built for the playoffs after last year. Bringing back nearly the same team has many believing the Celtics can re-peat in the East.

The NBA Playoffs are one of the more exciting times of the sports year. That statement is especially true this season. With no clear-cut favorite, it seems the field is wide open. Will two teams on Stephen A. Smith’s list meet in the NBA Finals? Will someone not on the list end up surprising the league? How close is Smith’s list to your own? Please give us your top 5 teams in the NBA in the comment section below. For the latest NBA news, stay here with us at HNHH.

Stephen A. Smith Calls Out Luka Doncic

Stephen A. Smith isn’t one to hold back his opinions. After a big Wrestlemania weekend at Sofi Stadium, Smith returned to First Take. One of the topics discussed on the show today was the failure of the Dallas Mavericks. Many have come to their conclusions on the struggles of the team. However, Smith believes that one of Dallas’ stars is to blame for the team’s recent downfall. No, Smith isn’t laying the blame on Kyrie Irving. But Smith does believe that Luka Doncic may be to blame.

In his point today, Smith targeted Luka’s attitude on and after the court when the Mavericks lose a game. Smith stated, “I don’t have a single negative syllable to utter about Kyrie Irving. He is not the problem in Dallas. … Luka is the one, dare I say, that has a huge question mark hovering over him, and it’s nothing statistical.” Stephen A. said he’s never seen a player look more out of shape at the end of the season than at the beginning, referring to Luka’s physique.

Stephen A. Smith Cites Luka’s Mentality As Mavericks Downfall

Maybe Stephen A. Smith has a reason to believe these things. However, it seems the mentality of the entire team looks down. Smith does cite that Luka still has amazing performances. But, Smith is of the notion that Luka has yet to learn how to be a leader. That is a very possible reason on Luka’s part. It takes time for a player to grow into a leader. We’ve seen young players in the past have to grow up quicker than most to run a franchise. LeBron and Giannis are names that come to mind. Now Luka must take that next step as a leader.

When the season ends, the Mavericks fans will begin to hear stories. Sooner or later, the truth of the 2022-23 Mavericks will come to light. While one person can’t be to blame for an entire team’s failure. Someone will need to take accountability for this failure. So, just whose to blame for the failure of the Dallas Mavericks? Is it Luka? Is it the mid-season addition of Kyrie? Or is it maybe a failure from a coaching standpoint? Let us know in the comment section below what your thoughts are on the Mavericks. The artist wore an all-white outfit that showed off her curves. Subsequently, many commenters on social media were thirsting for her. As it turns out, Stephen A. is one of them. While taking to Know Mercy this weekend, Smith spoke about her look and how he didn’t appreciate David Hensley, who slyly put his glove on Meg’s butt.

Stephen A. Smith Loves Megan Thee Stallion

“I know that there’s a lot to walk away from,” Smith said in regard to Meg’s pitch. “I mean that white outfit she was wearing was pretty nice. She looked pretty nice in that. And that’s one thought to walk away from. The other thought to walk away from was the pitch itself, which wasn’t that great, but you didn’t expect it to be. So props to her. She came close enough. But the one thing I walked away from, and I forgot the guy’s name, but he had his hand on her backside. He did it quick. But he ain’t supposed to be touching her like that. “

Stephen A. Smith makes a great point about Hensley’s sly move. Everyone saw him do it, and he consequently went viral for it. The Moment In Question

Stephen A. Smith Goes Off On Haters Who Believe He Ruined Sports Media

Stephen A. Smith is someone who has a lot of haters. Overall, this is because of his broadcasting style, which some feel isn’t conducive to real sports discussion. After all, Smith is known for his hot takes and exuberant personality. Ultimately, he is a pioneer in the sports talk space. However, he has birthed a ton of clones who are trying to be just like him. Consequently, sports discussions have only gotten worse. This is not Stephen A.’s fault, although it is easy to see how some fans could come to that conclusion.

Recently, Smith was on Dan Le Batard’s show. During his visit, LeBatard noted that he hatest what Stephen A. and Skip Bayless have done to sports media. Of course, Le Batard made it clear that he loves Smith and respects everything he has done. However, he is not a huge fan of what has happened to sports media in the wake of shows like First Take. At the time, Smith pled his case for why he is a net positive to the sports media word. Over the weekend, he took it a step further as he went on Know Mercy and ripped those who question him.

Stephen A. Attempts To Set The Record Straight

“‘Obnoxious, loud, demonstrative, bombastic, not good for television’…I’ve been called it all. Hell, ESPN fired me for it!” Smith wrote on Twitter. Throughout his rant, Smith noted that he has never betrayed the core tenets of journalism. Additionally, he referenced how he was fired in 2009 but was ultimately brought back because of his hard work. Stephen A. is confident that he has contributed to the sports media world in nothing but a positive fashion. In fact, the whole segment seemed to be a response to Le Batard directly, although Le Batard made an effort to show Smith some respect. Overall, Stephen A. may have missed the Miami legend’s initial point.

Either way, there is no doubt that Smith is confident in what he does. He is never going to compromise who he is, and you have to respect him for that. Stephen A. Smith Gets Brutally Honest About Max Kellerman

Stephen A. Smith is the biggest name in the United States when it comes to sports talk television. Alongside Skip Bayless, Smith completely revolutionized the sports debate format. Although some don’t like what sports television has become, there is no denying Smith’s influence. Overall, he has the journalistic credentials to speak out on various topics, and he is extremely entertaining as well. This has helped propel him to where he is now, and at this point, he is keeping the lights on over at ESPN.

When it comes to First Take, Stephen A. doesn’t have a consistent debate partner anymore. Following the departure of Skip Bayless, Max Kellerman took over. However, after about five years, he began to overstay his welcome, at least in Smith’s eyes. In September of 2021, he was let go from the show, and given his own platform with This Just In. At the time, Stephen A. made it clear that it was his decision to get Kellerman off of the show. Now, Smith is getting brutally honest about the ordeal.

Stephen A. Tells All

While speaking with former ESPN employee Dan LeBatard, Smith was asked about what went wrong with Kellerman. Simply put, Stephen A. did not feel like First Take was a show he wanted to do for years to come if Kellerman were to remain employed. “I don’t want anybody to assume Max Kellerman doesn’t work hard, Max Kellerman is a bad person, Max Kellerman is not somebody anybody should want to work with. That’s not what that was about,” Smith began. “It was about that a debate show requires certain things that I believe he did not bring to the table when it came to sitting opposite of me.” Smith went on to reiterate that it was simply a chemistry issue and that Kellerman probably could have done a better job with someone like Marcellus Wiley.

Overall, this is perhaps the most in-depth analysis we have ever heard in regard to Smith’s reasonings for getting Kellerman removed from First Take. However, there is no denying that some are still upset with the decision. Kellerman was known for having great takes, especially on the political side. That said, First Take continues to thrive, and ratings prove it. Let us know what you think of Stephen A.’s remarks, in the comments below.

Stephen A. Smith Makes Interesting NBA Finals Prediction

Stephen A. Smith has had a lot to talk about in regard to the NBA over the last few weeks. Overall, there has been a lot of player movement, especially when it comes to the trade deadline. Players like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were traded to new teams. Moreover, franchises like the Los Angeles Lakers got infinitely better as they shed themselves of Russell Westbrook. Now, the playoffs are just a few weeks away, and all of the big sports shows are trying to figure out who can win it all.

One of the teams that are certainly garnering attention is the Phoenix Suns. Although they are currently without Kevin Durant, they are still playing well. Devin Booker and Chris Paul have been tasked with carrying the team into the playoffs. Furthermore, with KD returning soon, this will be a superteam once the postseason begins. They have all the makings of a team that can make an impressive deep run to the Finals. As it turns out, Stephen A. most certainly agrees with that sentiment.

Stephen A. Speaks

On today’s episode of First Take, Stephen A. made it clear that he believes the Suns should be favored in the West, as long as the whole team is there. “I got [the Phoenix Suns] going to the Finals if KD is healthy,” Smith declared. As you can see in the clip above, Smith got an eye-roll from Kendrick Perkins. However, Smith maintained that there is no other team in the West that can roll with them when Durant is on the floor. Stephen A. went so far as to say that Durant is the best player on the planet, when healthy.

There are a lot of variables that go into a playoff run. Some teams go into the postseason expecting to clean up, although injuries can get in the way. Moreover, other teams tend to get hot, which throws a wrench in the plans of those at the top of the standings. This year, it feels like it is anybody’s race, which only adds to the drama. Let us know who you think is going to make it to the NBA Finals, in the comments down below.

Stephen A. Smith Questions Job Security Amid Looming ESPN Job Cuts

Stephen A. Smith is one of ESPN’s most important employees. Overall, he has been carrying the network on his back ever since Skip Bayless left in 2016. In fact, Smith has one of the highest salaries in the network. He makes about $12 million per year, which is simply astronomical. However, when you consider the ratings that he brings to the table, you can see why he is making so much. Either way, he is a valuable member of the network that ESPN would rather not lose.

Unfortunately, ESPN is going to be the victim of job cuts very soon. The media landscape is always changing, and as it turns out, budget cuts are frequent. Consequently, there are hundreds of ESPN employees who could very well get the boot. According to Front Office Sports, Disney is cutting 7,000 jobs. Although there is no timeline for these cuts, they could be imminent. On his podcast Know Mercy, Stephen A. spoke about the situation and even joked that even he could be on the way out.

Stephen A. Speaks

“Have you all been paying attention to the business landscape? Disney itself announced that over 7,000 employees are going to be let go,” Smith said. “ESPN is under the Disney umbrella. They’re going to have cuts coming. Hell, for all I know, I might be one of them. Now I doubt that. But it’s possible. No one knows.” At this point, it is very unlikely that they let Smith go. He is their A-list star, and it would be wild if they just decided to cut his post.

That said, it will be interesting to see who ESPN decides to lay off. There are plenty of talented individuals in the network and it would suck to see a lot of them go. However, that is the nature of the business world. There is always a ton of turnover, and that will not change anytime soon. Let us know your favorite ESPN personalities, in the comments below.
