Rich Paul made some wild claims during his appearance on Club Shay Shay. “I would be one of the best shooters in the league. Me, Dame, Steph, Klay. If we’re just talking shooting, this is the class I’m in. Trae, Darius Garland. I’m talking about guys who shoot the three really well,” Paul said. Host Shannon Sharpe was absolutely blown away by the braggadocious claim of his guest. “You gotta drink so more because you’re too sober to be saying what you saying right now,” Sharpe quipped.

Paul, who represents some of the biggest names in the NBA, is not one who is often seen on the court. The man hasn’t even appeared in an NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Therefore, it’s nearly impossible to tell just how good his three-point shot is. However, he and Sharpe did say “bet” during their interview. Maybe someday we’ll find out if Paul’s claims are cap or not.

Elsewhere, Rich Paul came to the defense of client Anthony Davis in recent weeks. “Shout-out to my man Rich Paul. Whoever is Rich Paul’s clients, you guys should feel very lucky. He doesn’t let nothing slide. He’s very passionate about his clients. He’ll call and try to check you about his clients. He texted me like, ‘Y’all kinda went hard on Anthony Davis the other day.’ Just in case y’all missed the episode, there was a statement where LeBron said, ‘This is the year they want to hand the team over to Anthony Davis.’ And we up here and we made a little fun of Anthony Davis,” Cam’ron said on a recent episode of It Is What It Is.

However, Cam’ron didn’t entirely offer a mea culpa, defending his comments as well. “I texted Rich Paul back that’s my man you know we Ohio and all that. I texted him back, ‘Yo Rich listen, maybe I’m on the outside looking in, but I thought that was the whole reason he left New Orleans anyway. He got to the Lakers and I thought that was LeBron saying, ‘Okay cool, I got somebody young on the team,’” the Dipset rapper added. “I can defer to him and this is a four-year project that hasn’t taken the team over and I relayed that to Rich. I thought that was the plan from the jump to give him the team and LeBron is about to be 39 and we still have to go about LeBron giving him the team. LeBron been ready to defer and give him the team,” Cam’ron argued.

Stephen Curry says he enjoyed hearing his shoutout on Sexyy Red’s Hood Hottest Princess single, “SkeeYee.” On the song, Sexyy raps: “My sister in the backseat with a .30/ N****s tryna shoot they shot, Stephen Curry.” The Golden State Warriors star discussed the track during an upcoming interview with VIBE.

“When Sexxy Red did it, I just started laughing,” he admitted to the outlet. “I don’t know. I had never seen her at a basketball game.” He continued: “One of my teammates were asking me the question, ‘How many times do you think your name’s been mentioned in the song?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure there’s probably a website or something that could probably count it for you.’ So he went and looked it up and it was like 106 I think at the time, which was wild to me.”

There were plenty of great three-point shooters before him. However, in just a short amount of time, he became the consensus greatest shooter of all time. Additionally, Curry has been able to carve out a lane for himself with Under Armour. Before him, no NBA player was really repping Under Armour on their feet. However, Curry was able to change that thanks to his signature line with the company. On the most recent episode of Sneaker Shopping on Complex, Steph spoke at length about his relationship with Under Armour and how it turned out to be a huge blessing. Throughout the episode, he goes through the history of some of his best shoes with the brand.

His dad’s alma mater, Virginia Tech, only offered him a walk-on spot due to this 160lb frame. So Curry went to Davidson, where he took the mid-major to the elite eight in 2008. Meanwhile, the Hokies made the Big Dance in 2007, Curry’s freshman season, before going on a decade-long March Madness drought.

As part of the show, Tobe Nwigwe was drafted to create a befitting track. “Lil Fish, Big Pond” is exactly that. Texas rapper Tobe Nwigwe has a history of tapping some interesting collaborators, from 2 Chainz and Chamillionaire to Bun B and CyHi The Prynce. He’s even worked with NBA player Damian Lillard, who goes by Dame D.O.L.L.A. in his rap alter ego. Today, Tobe added another NBA star to the list — albeit one who is better known for shooting like Dame than rapping like him. Steph Curry, who recently demonstrated some impressive acumen on the golf course, appears to add to his range of skills in the video for Nwigwe’s “Lil Fish, Big Pond.”

Of course, while Curry proves pretty adept at lip-syncing, it’s pretty clear that it’s Tobe doing most of the actual rapping in the video as the two entertainers go fishing in, well, a pond. The Steph reveal is very clever, and for a second, you almost have to wonder what a real Steph Curry rap song would sound like. After all, he wouldn’t be the first NBA player to ponder a second career as a rapper, and many of them — even the part-time dabblers — often are pretty good at it, if not “Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame” good. Still, it’s a cool concept from Tobe, who directs, as usual, and styles the video, which features some impressive digital effects as well.

Last night, Drake began the first leg of his week in Brooklyn. The artist is performing in Brooklyn for four nights. He will take to the stage tonight before taking a break on Wednesday. Subsequently, he will be back at the Barclays Center on Thursday and Friday. Overall, this is an exciting prospect for fans, as there is basically no excuse to miss any of these shows. Unless of course, the tickets are too expensive, which is understandable.
