Most new songs and albums are released on Fridays, because that’s when the tracking week for Billboard chart eligibility starts. So, dropping a new release on any other day presents a chart disadvantage, since the song/album misses out on days of listening activity. That said, all of this didn’t stop Tyler The Creator from being successful with his latest project, Chromakopia, which he released on a Monday.
Since the album was released on a Monday, it missed out on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from its debut week, meaning the project’s debut numbers all came from four days. Despite that disadvantage, Chromakopia debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The project had an impact on the Hot 100 chart revealed today (November 4), too. On the chart dated November 9, Tyler’s “St. Chroma” featuring Daniel Caesar debuts at No. 7, while Noid also cracked the top 10 in the final spot. These are Tyler’s first-ever top-10 songs. His previous high was at No. 13 with Igor standout “Earfquake” in 2019.
The other most noteworthy song in this week’s Hot 100 top-10 is Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which returns to No. 1 for a 16th total week. It is now tied for the second-most weeks spent at No. 1, alongside Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night”; Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber’s “Despacito”; and Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day.” It’s now behind only Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road.”
Tyler, The Creator celebrates the release of his latest single, “Noid,” from the newly dropped CHROMAKOPIA album, landing at #10 on US Top Songs. His album also boasts “ST. CHROMA” at #14, while his 2017 hit “See You Again” featuring Kali Uchis resurges at #73, spurred by a viral dance trend that has placed it at #4 on US Top Songs on Shorts. Tyler currently ranks #23 among US Top Artists, further solidifying his chart presence.
“Noid” is the first official single from the album. It brings the harsh realities of fame and celebrity to both the single and video, where passersby continue to infiltrate Tyler’s creative space. Joining Tyler, the Creator, in the video is The Bear star Ayo Edebiri, who presents a transitioning iPhone to a gun. Additionally, Frank Ocean can be heard in the single’s opening.
Tyler, the Creator, is ready to fully immerse fans into the Chromakopia experience. With a new single out and the album on the way, Tyler has announced the Chromakopia World Tour. The tour will begin on Feb. 4, 2025, and will be supported by Lil Yachty and Paris, Texas.

It’s been three years since Tyler The Creator‘s most recent album, Call Me If You Get Lost. But, he appears to be teasing a new project.
In the video for a new song “St. Chroma,” a man wearing a mask walks through desert followed by others directly behind him. There’s whispered rapping over a marching beat and a choir, and a container with the word “Chromakopia” on it. The footage ends with the container bursting into flames following an explosion. Could Chromakopia be the title of his next album? We’ll have to wait and see, although the timing is, let’s say, interesting with Tyler’s Camp Flog Gnaw (the best festival in America) coming up next month.
Tyler The Creator recently had Steve Lacy’s back when he was being harassed by fans for new music. “album this album that what happen to hello? the “Bad Habit” singer wrote on Instagram. Tyler commented, “i feel you. sh*t is annoying especially when i never said out my mouth an album was coming. i wanna be an actress lmfao.” He’ll have to settle for starring in an A24 movie alongside Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Tyler, The Creator has returned with a new teaser, “ST. CHROMA,” marking what appears to be the first song from his upcoming seventh studio album. In doing so, he dropped a music video to promote the track, which ends with the word, “Chromakopia,” displaying across a green screen, likely referencing the title of Tyler’s next album. On the song, he raps in a whispered tone about being in the “top ten” and the “hottest in this b*tch.”
Fans are expectedly loving the new release, having already flooded the YouTube comments section with praise. “Tyler wasn’t kidding when he said he wanted to work in film and cinematography, the production of this teaser is incredible, even though it’s so short,” one user posted. Another wrote: “This gonna be the craziest Tyler album yet. Just this teaser is fire! (literally). Tyler never disappoints.”
Chromakopia will mark Tyler’s first album since 2021’s critically acclaimed Call Me If You Get Lost. That album earned him the 2022 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. He followed it up with a deluxe version the following year titled subtitled, The Estate Sale. In addition to music releases, he made headlines, earlier this year, for performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Tyler The Creator Teases His Next Album, “Chromakopia”
Check out the entirety of Tyler’s “ST. CHROMA” below. The announcement comes after he trolled fans for theorizing he was gearing up for a new album, earlier this month. When Steve Lacy complained on social media about fans demanding a new project, Tyler commented: “I feel you. Sh*t is annoying especially when I never said out my mouth an album was coming.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Tyler, The Creator on HotNewHipHop.
