Usher Puts His All Into Rehearsing For The Super Bowl Halftime Show In A New Short Film Directed By Jay-Z

Just nearly a week after Usher killed it at the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show, fans are getting another glimpse into how exactly he pulled off all the surprises.

In a new short film that dropped via the music platform, it provides a look at Usher’s rehearsals and the changes that were made to the setlist and production. Oh, and it was directed by Jay-Z and Hamish Hamilton, as they shot the footage entirely on an iPhone.

“As I put together the songs, like a puzzle piece to represent this type of soulful music, R&B and mixture of this pop that is my own, I think God really blessed me with the right people to help build the artist that I am,” Usher shared in the ten-minute film. “I’m happy that I’m able to share this moment with them.”

“If you put in the work, people will respect what you do,” he added.

Throughout the video, he runs through the routine repeatedly with his backup dancers. Usher also takes some time to do vocal warmups, as he rehearses to pronounce the consonants a little stronger. It is also split with high-quality footage taken up close during the actual show.

Whatever the case, it appears as though AB is now in some monetary trouble. This is because, according to TMZ, he owes celebrity jeweler Shuki Internation over $1 million.

Back in 2022, Shuki leant his diamond fingers and a few rings to AB. Brown was supposed to give them back, but he allegedly never did. Subsequently, in April of last year, Shuki hit the former NFL star with a lawsuit. As it turns out, Brown never replied to the lawsuit. Instead, he let almost a whole year go by. This led to a default judgment, and now, AB owes Shuki $1,096,000. This is a huge sum of money, although Brown is unbothered by it all. In a recent video, Brown could be seen wearing the items that he took. Needless to say, he does not care about a thing.

As Shuki explained to TMZ, he contacted Brown over the weekend in regard to the default judgment. However, Brown never responded. Instead, he just ignored him and didn’t pick up the phone. I called that n**ga… and said, ‘N***a, let’s do the ‘Non-Wearing A Dress Tour.’ That s**t’ll be hot like a motherf*cker,’” he added. The joke did manage to get a few laughs, however, it’s far from the first time Sharpe’s been accused of being gay.

This was something Sharpe was sure to point out on Nightcap recently. According to him, people are simply talking about him because he’s the “hot thing” right now. He explained that while people continue to “use the same joke” over and over again, he refuses to let it get to him, because he knows who he is.
