Megan Fox Admits She Has Body Dysmorphia: “There’s Never A Point Where I Loved My Body”

Megan Fox says that she suffers from body dysmorphia and has never been able to see herself the way others do. The actress discussed living with the condition during a new interview for Sports Illustrated. For her appearance on the cover, Fox rocked a swimsuit of gold coins and an intricate body chain while posing on the beach.

“I have body dysmorphia — I don’t ever see myself the way other people see me,” Fox told the outlet. “There’s never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever.” Fox appears as one of four cover stars of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit‘s 2023 issue. The others are Martha Stewart, Kim Petras, and Brooks Nader.

“When I was little, that was an obsession I had of, like, but I should look this way,” Fox elaborated. “And why I had an awareness of my body that young I’m not sure, and it definitely wasn’t environmental because I grew up in a very religious environment where bodies weren’t even acknowledged. The journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending, I think.”

Fox also spoke about the pressure of appearing in a swimsuit photoshoot. “Shooting Sports Illustrated Swimsuit is definitely a lot of pressure,” she admitted. “I have a vision in my head that I’m trying to achieve, so we’ll see if it pans out for me.” She added: “What I most want people to know is that I’m a genuine soul who is hoping to actually belong to something and not always have to live as a misunderstood outcast.”

Fox is currently engaged to Machine Gun Kelly; however, there have been rumors of hiccups in their relationship. Last month, Fox was reportedly a no-show at Kelly’s 33rd birthday party. The two got engaged in early 2022.

Martha Stewart Covers “Sports Illustrated”: 81-Year-Old Is Magazine’s Oldest Swimsuit Model

In 2022, Elon Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, shocked the world by appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated‘s annual swimsuit issue at 74 years old. If that was too much for you to handle, you’ll be displeased to know that the publication has broken that record again in 2023, this time inviting 81-year-old Martha Stewart to pose as one of their front-page stars. The blonde beauty had only a few months to prepare for the shoot, but according to a post on her Instagram page, she agreed because “Trying new things is very good. Being fearless is very good. [You shouldn’t] be afraid of anything.”

If she was feeling any anxiety, it certainly isn’t evident in the photos of Stewart we’re seeing today. While sporting various bathing suits and fabulous accessories, the cookbook author poses both on land and in the water, having the time of her life while splashing around in the clear blue water. Editor-in-Chief MJ Day had plenty of praise to give the culinary icon, noting, “Never in her life has [Martha] let her circumstances dictate her outcome.”

Martha Stewart Sets Sports Illustrated Record

“She’s changed with the times – always one step ahead, it seems – to build a wide-reaching business empire,” Day further complimented Stewart. Aside from currently hosting three food programs on Roku, the New Jersey native also opened her first restaurant, The Bedford by Martha Stewart, at Paris Las Vegas last year. Her achievements additionally include authoring 99 books and reaching an estimated 100 million fans per month through various media outlets.

Aside from Stewart, a handful of other Hollywood hotties were a part of the prestigious magazine cover too. Among them are Megan Fox, who celebrates her 37th birthday tomorrow (May 16), and transgender German popstar Kim Petras, who recently collaborated with Nicki Minaj on yet another hit single for the Queen of Rap, “Alone.” See photos of all the 2023 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition models here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

LSU Gymnast To Feature On SI Swimsuit Issue Cover

Olivia Dunne is one of the hottest commodities in college athletics at the moment. She has shone a new light on the traditionally overlooked collegiate gymnastics circuit. That is thanks to her good looks, undeniable talent, and millions of followers on social media. Dunne has 7 million TikTok followers and 3 million Instagram followers.

However, her fame has been an issue for LSU at times. The university had to issue a crowd conduct warning due to the raucous behavior of some fans at meets. In a different vein, the school had to issue a statement on the use of chatbots and AI after Dunne did sponsored content for an essay-writing AI tool. Despite these hiccups, Dunne’s star continues to shine and she is about to take her biggest step yet.

Dunne To Feature As SI Swimsuit Issue Cover Model

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition has been an annual staple since 1964. It has featured a range of models and celebrities in the prestigious role of cover model. However, athletes have had the rare honor of gracing the cover. The first athlete to do so was Ronda Rousey in 2016. The only other athletes to appear on the cover are soccer player Alex Morgan (2019) and tennis player Naomi Osaka (2021). Dunne will be the fourth athlete to star on the cover, and the first collegiate athlete to do so.

“It’s a dream come true. It’s an honor to be included because I love everything the magazine represents. It is all about supporting women from all different paths.” Dunne said. “The way that the [SI Swimsuit] brand has evolved and has become such a positive spotlight for women to tell their stories and to spread awesome messages of being strong, sexy and beautiful, I knew that was something I wanted to be part of,” she added. Swimsuit editor M.J. Day also spoke on what it meant to have Dunne on the cover.

“The refusal of some to appreciate Livvy for being more than just a pretty blonde is missing the point. The backlash she received for ‘leveraging’ her sexuality for endorsement dollars after the NIL restrictions were lifted is incorrect. We are here to celebrate this incredible young woman and encourage the world to respect and applaud Livvy and her fellow athletes for owning the blood, sweat and tears that have fueled a lifetime of achievements.”

Megan Thee Stallion Covers The ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Issue, Making Her The First Rapper To Do So

The cover stars for this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue were unveiled today, and among them is a familiar face to music fans: Megan Thee Stallion, as she, tennis star Naomi Osaka, and actress/model Leyna Bloom all got their own covers.

Sharing the cover on Instagram, Megan wrote, “REAL SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT EDITION COVER MODEL SH*T!!! Thee first female rapper on the cover of @si_swimsuit [crying emojis] I want to thank all the strong women in my life who inspired me to love my body and live my best hot girl life. It means the world to me to be on this cover DREAM COME TRUE!!”

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day said of Meg, “Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t stay in one lane. In fact, she encourages everyone to be in multiple, and this is what we love about her. She captured the world’s attention with her music and style, but what caught our attention was her unfiltered approach to the way she makes you think. She uses her platform to push boundaries, dissect societal norms, and encourage humans to think about the backward way our society continues to operate. Megan is a vessel for change, and we are honored to have her on our 2021 cover.”

Megan is the first rapper to cover the swimsuit issue, but not the first musician, as Beyonce graced the cover back in 2007.
