When it comes to underappreciated sneakers, the Nike Air Max Plus should absolutely be in the conversation. Overall, this is a sneaker that has some very nice aesthetics to it. There is that chunky dad shoe quality that a lot of fans appreciate. Although it may not be the most popular Air Max, it certainly serves a great purpose. Of course, this should come as great news for sneakerheads. The Nike Air Max Plus is one of those shoes that works really well in the warmer months. This creates a dope illusion that will have you immediately thinking of the aforementioned superhero. Once again, Nike has done a great job with the Air Max Plus.

New “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” Trailer Released

Miles Morales is back as Spider-Man in the new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The animated film is the much-anticipated sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. That film followed Miles Morales on his journey to becoming Spider-Man while also attempting to save his universe from the villainous Kingpin. It was a huge success for the franchise, earning over $300 million on a budget of just $90 million. Praised by critics and fans alike, it even went on to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. This was likely quite a relief for Sony, who had already greenlit a sequel before the first film’s release due to the buzz surrounding it.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse isn’t the only companion to the 2018 film in development. To begin with, the film is only part one of a two part sequel. Beyond that, Sony has also greenlit a film surrounding the female Spider-people, tentatively titled Spider-Women. Gwen Stacy, a staple in the Spider-verse films already, would appear as the lead in the film. Additionally, there have been murmurs of an animated television series based on the Spider-Verse films. With the film industry still very much focused on universe-expanding properties, the many rumored projects connected to the Spider-Verse films come as no surprise.

Spider-Man vs. Spider-Man

The new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse shows Miles Morales struggling to balance his day-to-day life with his heroic duties. The character, voiced by Shameik Moore, leaves a parent-teacher conference to stop a villain. Soon, all hell breaks loose after Gwen Stacy, voiced by Hailee Stanfield, introduces him to “the lobby”. In it, there are hundreds of Spider-people, including Miguel O’Hara, otherwise known as Spider-Man 2099, played by Oscar Isaac. For much of the trailer, Morales and O’Hara are embroiled in some sort of disagreement. Morales is told that he must choose between saving one life and saving every universe. It’s a moral conundrum that almost every iteration of the hero has had to face.

The animated sequel to the hit 2018 film will be released on June 2, 2023. Part 2, titled Beyond the Spider-Verse, will be released next year. It will feature a host of heavy hitters as different versions of Spider-people. Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, and Jason Schwartzmann are all featured, adding to the already impressive cast. What do you think of the new trailer? Sound off in the comments!

Fans of the Air Jordan 1 have absolutely been spoiled over the last few years. This is a sneaker that is constantly getting some dope new colorways. Moreover, it just has an amazing look to it. There is no denying this shoe’s place within the sneaker lexicon. At this point, pretty well every single sneakerhead has a pair.

Furthermore, this is a shoe that has cemented its place within pop culture. There have been various instances in which this sneaker has been seen in movies or other forms of media. One of the more recent examples of that was on the Air Jordan 1 “Origin Story.” The shoe was made to help promote Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Subsequently, there is a sequel coming out called Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. Interestingly enough, this movie is also getting its very own sneaker.

This new sneaker is called the Air Jordan 1 “Spider-Verse.” If you know the visual motifs of the film, then this silhouette will certainly make sense to you. However, it may actually come across as jarring to others. Firstly, you can tell that this shoe has a similar base to the “Chicago” Air Jordan 1. However, things get very weird when you get to the overlays near the cuff of the shoe. There are all sorts of circles that are red in nature. Moreover, they are bolstered by some blue and yellow tones. Needless to say, this shoe is definitely going for something exciting.

For those of you out there who are fans of these, you will have to wait until May 20th to cop. Additionally, these will cost a total of $200 USD. As for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, that movie will be dropping on June 2nd. Needless to say, these will prepare you for the new film. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Will Return To The MCU: Details

Tom Holland will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe via his iconic portrayal of Spider-Man. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, says that the company is already working on how it will facilitate Holland’s comeback. Marvel Studios is keeping the specifics of the story under wraps. However, Feige gave some small details in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said, “All I will say is that we have the story. We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.” He did not hint further as to what the future holds for Holland’s Spider-Man.

Because Feige stopped short before he could say what the future of Spider-Man will hold in the MCU, we are unsure if this will include a new solo film. It could also mean a new appearance in one of the highly-anticipated upcoming Avengers solo films. Holland’s last performance as Peter Parker took place in the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film was a box office hit. It grossed $1.9 billion on the global scale. Fans raved over and discussed the film, particularly the inclusion of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield‘s own versions of the character.

Film producer, Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spiderman: No Way Home) teased in late 2021 that the film company was in the process of creating another Spider-Man film trilogy staring Tom Holland as Peter Parker. Pascal told Fandango, “This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”

Marvel Studios is currently working on Avengers: Secret Wars. The release date is set for May 1, 2026. The 12-issue comic book saga that the film is based on ran through the mid-1980s. The lineup of superheroes included Spider-Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, Hulk, Iron Man, and more. The top cast for the film, as currently listed on IMDB, includes Kathryn Newton, Jonathan Majors, Dominique Thorne, Iman Vellani, and more. They’ll star alongside Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans, Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Ruffalo, Simu Liu, and Anthony Mackie. The film is still in the early stages of pre-production so there is a potential for the cast list to grow.

The comic series for Spider-Man Noir debuted in 2009 as part of Marvel’s Noir universe. In the comics, Spider-Man Noir lives in New York during the 1930’s Great Depression. A radioactive spider that he found inside a stolen artifact bites him. This causes him to have visions of a spider-god who grants him super powers. Milo Ventimiglia voiced Spider-Man Noir in the animated series, Ultimate Spider-Man. Notably, Nicholas Cage voiced the character in the academy award-winning 2018 film, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Amazon’s rendition of the character will be its first live-action interpretation.

Sony has a history of releasing Spider-Man live-action films since they obtained the rights to the character. Tom Holland has played Peter Parker via Columbia Pictures. Sony is also the mastermind behind Into the Spider-Verse. Sony is creating two sequels to that film. The first sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, has a release date of June 2023. Sony also made the live-actions films, Venom, and its sequel Let There Be Carnage. The company also has Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web in the works.

Bad Bunny Will Play A Wrestling Superhero In ‘El Muerto,’ A New ‘Spider-Man’ Spinoff Movie

Bad Bunny is one of the planet’s most successful musicians; He was Spotify’s most-streamed artist worldwide in both 2020 and 2021. He’s also proven himself to be quite the multi-hyphenate by building up his IMDb page with roles in movies like F9 and Bullet Train. Now he’s preparing for his biggest acting opportunity yet: Yesterday, Sony announced El Muerto, a Spider-Man spinoff movie starring Bad Bunny as the titular character, IGN reports.

The movie was introduced by Sony Motion Picture Group president Sanford Panitch at CinemaCon and it’s set to be released in theaters on January 12, 2024. This role will make Bad Bunny Marvel’s first live-action Latino lead.

IGN describes the El Muerto character, “In the comics, El Muerto is a super-powered wrestler who has had their mask and abilities passed down through the generations. To become worthy, new wrestlers would need to prove themselves against El Dorado. Juan-Carlos Estrada Sanchez was one of these chosen descendants, but he was unable to fight El Dorado when his father Marcus Estrada presented him. As a result, Marcus sacrificed himself to save his son. Following the tragic death, El Dorado would give Juan-Carlos ten years to become stronger to face him again and earn the right to become El Muerto.”

Deadline notes of the character’s connection to Spider-Man, “The character of El Muerto, aka Juan Carlos, was a super powered wrestler who originally fought Spider-Man in a charity wrestling match in which he nearly unmasked the webslinger before being stung by Spider-Man with a paralyzing poison. After his oppressor El Dorado came to claim his life, he was saved by Spider-Man, after which the two team up to defeat Dorado.”

The role seems to be a perfect fit for Bad Bunny, given how involved he’s been with the WWE lately.

De La Soul’s ‘Spider-Man’ Soundtrack Placement Frustrates Fans Who Find They Can’t Stream It

De La Soul‘s streaming woes are well-documented at this point, but now that the crew has landed a soundtrack placement on the biggest movie of the year, new fans are finding themselves frustrated to learn that the pioneer trio’s catalog is unavailable on DSP. The crew’s 3 Feet High And Rising song “The Magic Number” appears over the end credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home, undoubtedly sending many of the film’s viewers to Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal only to discover that the only two De La Soul albums available are The Grind Date and The Anonymous Nobody.

And while both albums are worth several spins, most of De La’s most recognizable work comes from earlier in their career, when they were still under contract with Tommy Boy Entertainment. The trouble with streaming the albums stems from their extensive sample use; over the course of their six projects under Tommy Boy, the band used hundreds of samples of prior works — 3 Feet High And Rising contains 60 samples by itself. While Tommy Boy cleared most of those samples, the contracts only covered physical releases, the only method for releasing music through the ’80s and ’90s. With the advent of streaming, the label considers the albums open to a plethora of potential lawsuits and not worth the hassle of uploading.

The band themselves have offered to take on the intricate work of clearing all the samples backed by an army of volunteers who just want to be able to stream the albums they love, only to get rebutted by Tommy Boy. Earlier this year, De La Soul apparently won back their master recordings after Reservoir Media acquired Tommy Boy for around $100 million, but now comes the nitty-gritty work of actually clearing all those samples, which could take some time considering the age of the records and the labyrinthine nature of copyright law. While the appearance of “The Magic Number” on Spider-Man’s soundtrack could be a promising sign that at least the work has begun (the song mainly samples Bob Dorough’s “Three Is a Magic Number”), all those new fans will have to join the grizzled vets in waiting impatiently for that work to be completed to stream De La’s greatest hits.

Vince Staples Live-Tweets His ‘Spider-Man’ Experience And Wants Into The Marvel Universe

Spider-Man: No Way Home is out now in theaters and racking up records as one of the most popular movies not just in the series but of the last several years. It’s already crossed the billion-dollar threshold and is being credited with helping save movie theaters after a rough couple of years, and now that it’s been out for a little over a week, fans are sharing their reactions and debating some of the film’s plot points. Those fans include Long Beach rapper Vince Staples, who has — as usual — some uniquely funny takes on some of the film’s action.

Here’s why I give you a chance to click the little “X” in the corner or hit [command+w] or close your laptop or — come on guys, there are hundreds of ways to avoid spoilers. If this “ruins” the movie for you, blame yourself.

Vince was less than enthused about the death of one character in particular, demanding a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the sole purpose of revenge. “Oh it’s up,” he wrote. “They just flipped Aunt May in the lobby!” This development led to more of Staples’ signature snark as he promised, “They need me in the MCU if they tryna have some real get bacc. Where is the vengeance?” He then made his bid for a role in a potential future film and gave a pretty solid reason: “Put me in X-Men I’m marking everything out,” he vowed. “[On the] Dead homies.”

While there aren’t many characters in the X-Men comics that match Vince’s physique, that shouldn’t be a bar from giving him a role; after all, half of the Eternals were recast as people of color, and cape films have shuffled characters’ appearances before. Just imagine Vince Staples as Wolverine. Now, that I’d gladly pay to watch.
