The Soundcloud era of hip-hop was a rich time for listeners. Some of the biggest and brightest stars were taking part in it during its most explosive era in the last 2010s. It allowed for some names on the cusp of stardom to really breakthrough and one of them was Lil Yachty. All of the extra exposure he gave himself by doing this has allowed him to become a face of the genre overall. Well, Lil Yachty is paying homage to those days on the platform by releasing a fresh set of tracks to his “tHE CONCRETE LeaK sYstem” account.

Yes, this is not some fan account that is looking ruin hype around impending drops from artists. This is actually run Lil Boat himself, so all of these tracks are legit as can be. The Georgia multi-hyphenate announced that he uploaded these old recordings on his Instagram story last night. “Dropped 12 old leaks on the concrete leak system last night 🤫”.

Denzel Revives His 2012 Raider Klan Mixtape “King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 1 (Underground Tape 1996)”

Denzel Curry is taking us on a trip down memory lane by reissuing King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 1 (Underground Tape 1996). This is one of the Carol City, Florida native’s earliest bodies of work. In fact, this is a mixtape from the since disbanded group, Raider Klan. Curry left to forge his solo career in 2013, a little bit before the underground posse split.

King Of The Mischievous South would be one of his last efforts with them and it was made when he was an early teen. It dropped on Soundcloud back in 2012, but Curry has decided to bring it back. If you are not familiar with the Raider Klan’s sound, they draw a lot of inspiration from Memphis, especially Three 6 Mafia. However, there are also elements of Southern hip-hop, chopped and screwed, the 90s, and more.

Throughout 2024, HNHH is going to dedicate even more time to artists who are on the rise. We feel that prioritizing this will help everyone discover new talent that they might not have been able to track down on their own. So, without further ado, we want to introduce you to a New York City talent. He goes by xaviersobased and he is looking to bring some fresh sound to the historic birthplace of hip-hop.

If we had to describe the subgenres he fits into, he slots in the spheres of cloud rap, Soundcloud, and internet, and trap. We have seen other rappers who share these similar lanes blow up in the past. HNHH feels he can be someone who could follow that path to stardom. California rapper and auto crooner 03 Greedo has been bringing unique sounds to the West Coast for about a decade now. He likes to show off what he can do by rapping over trap-inspired production in a mumbly fashion. On top of that 03 busts out the vocal effects for when he wants to make a catchy melody. The 36-year-old is doing both of those things on a new EP.

Bryson Tiller Comes Through With Soundcloud Mixtape “SLUM TILLER VOL. 1”

Bryson Tiller has a reputation in the music community that comes and goes, just as much as he does. He will consistently be praised and then there will be a time when people forget about him. It is understandable though, because the Kentucky singer and rapper does not drop new material that often. However, when he does it is usually high quality and that is what we have here with this new mixtape.

Yes, you heard that right, a new project from Tiller! Pen Griffey, as he goes by in some of his songs, definitely delivers on this Soundcloud exclusive. It is a concise tracklist that is only five songs that maybe reaches the 13-minute mark. On August 18, the artist shared the news that he was going to drop a mixtape called SLUM TILLER VOL. 1 through a Twitch stream. It was a little interesting to hear that it would only be on this platform because it is not the best outlet for bigger artists to share their new stuff, but it is better that we have something from Tiller.

Bryson Is Back

The 30-year-old talent delivers on every track here. It has vibes similar to T R A P S O U L, which is what got him the co-sign from Drake. “NUMB,” “Coy,” “Big Spender,” “Stay Gold,” and “Resolution” are the track names and all of them have a unique sound which is another welcome sign. This could be the start of the return of 2015 Bryson and we are hoping for that and then some.
