Russell Westbrook Hit With Harsh Reality Check

Russell Westbrook used to be one of the best point guards in the entire NBA. However, in recent years, Westbrook has seen a bit of a regression. Overall, fans do not believe in him the way they once did. It is a sad reality, albeit one that he must deal with moving forward. Even amongst actual NBA teams, there is this certain narrative surrounding Russ. No matter what he does, people are going to put him under the microscope, and that will not be changing.

Right now, Russ is dealing with the fallout from a trade involving the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers. Subsequently, Russ is on the Jazz who have made it clear that they want to buy out his contract. This is a stressful time for the former Laker, who must now decide whom he wants to play for. For now, it seems like three teams re in the running for Westbrook. This includes the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, and Chicago Bulls. However, there are no guarantees that any of these teams end up taking him.

Russell Westbrook Moving Forward

While speaking on Fan Duel TV today, Shams Charania had some interesting comments about Russ. Unfortunately, they come across as a bit of a harsh reality check that will make Westbrook feel bad. “When you look at teams around the league, there’s not a spot for Russell Westbrook,” Charania said. “It’s a slow-moving market, and we’ll see if he’ll be able to find a home.” For now, one would have to assume that Russ will find a team before the postseason. After all, he is absolutely still a serviceable player, regardless of the narratives out there right now.

No matter what, this is going to be a very interesting situation to monitor over the coming months. Hopefully, for Russ, he is able to go out there and change how people feel about him. Until then, let us know which team you would want Russell Westbrook to play for, in the comments down below. Skip Bayless Has No Love For Russell Westbrook

Skip Bayless is someone who has been known to be incredibly harsh when talking about players throughout the NBA. Overall, a lot of fans do not care at all for the commentary that Skip provides. However, he has based his whole career around the concept of trolling, so it should come as no surprise that he gets ratings. After all, controversy is what gets people to watch your show, and he understands this. Whether it be LeBron James or Patrick Mahomes, Bayless will find a way to criticize the best athletes around.

One of the basketball players that Bayless has put on blast quite a bit as of late is none other than Russell Westbrook. Westbrook has not been having a particularly great season. In fact, he was recently traded to the Utah Jazz. Subsequently, he is set to be bought out by the team. This will then lead to him picking his next franchise. For now, he has two main options, including the Clippers and the Bulls. However, the Heat seem to be a darkhorse option here.

Skip Bayless Rips Russ

As for Skip Bayless, he is not a big fan of Westbrook, whatsoever. He firmly believes that the point guard commits way too many turnovers and is not worth the trouble. His opinion of Westbrook was reflected in some very harsh comments that were made on Undisputed this morning. “He’s just more trouble than he’s worth. I wouldn’t want him on my team,” Bayless said. “Russell Westbrook has the worst pair of hands of any point guard I’ve seen in high school, college, or the pros. The turnovers are so bad.”

At this point, the narrative around Russell Westbrook has become downright disrespectful. Very few people actually believe in his abilities right now, and it has been striking to watch. However, he does have an opportunity to prove everyone wrong. Ultimately, it will be up to him as to whether or not he accomplishes that. As always, let us know what you think of these comments from Bayless, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Paul George Recruits Russell Westbrook To Clippers

Paul George has begun recruiting Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Clippers. Westbrook was traded to the Utah Jazz, where he is expected to reach an agreement on a buyout of his deal. Prior to the deadline, the Clippers traded away Reggie Jackson, Luke Kennard, and John Wall in exchange for Mason Plumlee, Eric Gordon, and Bones Hyland. The move gave them zero point guards back in exchange for two. George brought up Westbrook when asked by reporters if the team needs to add another point guard.

“I mean if there’s somebody out there — Russell [Westbrook] — if it makes sense and, obviously it goes with our team, we’re all for it,” Paul George said, earlier this week. “We need a point guard. But in the same, I think we’re good as well. If nothing happened, I think we got enough in this locker room to be able to make it work. But it would definitely improve our team if we had that traditional point guard to kind of get us in things and make the game easy. So hopefully Russell sees this and, we figure something out.”

Paul George’s Message For Russell Westbrook

“I just think, we, in particular, we got enough shooting to surround Russ where Russ can be Russ,” George continued. “I think the floor will be open for him, spacing will be there for him. I’m a big believer in and fan of what Russ’s work is, you know, having one of my best seasons in my career alongside of him. I’ve seen what he can do, night in, night out and I think he’s still got a lot of game there. I’m biased, you know, when it comes to Russ and I really think he can improve the team. He’s such a big talent. He rebounds, he finds guys, he makes the game easy for everyone and, I mean, I think he’ll come and he’ll mesh. I think he’ll come and he’ll mesh and, and he’ll figure out how we play and he’ll adjust to it.”

Paul George and the Clippers are currently 31-28, leaving them in sixth place in the Western Conference standings. If he joins the Clippers, Westbrook will be coming off of a tumultuous stretch with the Lakers. However, he still averaged 18.5 points, 7.1 assists, and 7.4 rebounds last season.

Russell Westbrook’s Wife Rips ESPN For “Vampire” Comments

Russell Westbrook is someone who has been slandered a lot by reporters over the years. Typically, reporters don’t like Russ because of his style of play. Moreover, he has been short with the media on a few occasions. However, one can chalk that up to their treatment of him. All-in-all, it is one of those chicken and the egg type situations. You don’t actually know which one came first. Either way, the media does not like Westbrook, and the feeling is definitely mutual.

On Wednesday night, Westbrook was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz. Subsequently, the Lakers got back D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt. This was thanks to the Minnesota Timberwolves who came in as the third team. Overall, Russ is going to be getting a fresh start as the Jazz are set to buy out his contract. There is no telling what will happen next for Westbrook. However, it will definitely be better than whatever happened with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Russell Westbrook Slander

During an ESPN report yesterday, Dave McMenamin revealed that one source called Westbrook a “vampire.” This kind of reporting drew the ire of many in the NBA community. Furthermore, it upset Westbrook’s wife Nina, who took to the comments of the post above with some strong words. “This is just sick ESPN…Russell is no vampire,” Westbrook wrote. “This is also slander because anyone who knows anything knows that this couldn’t be further from the truth. On a personal note, I have school-aged children who have to listen to their peers repeat the nasty things that you guys say on television about their father.”

Many have noted just how personal some of the attacks against Westbrook have been. Overall, it feels like some of this has gone beyond basketball, which isn’t right whatsoever. Hopefully, Russ is given another chance this year, and he is able to change the narratives against him, once and for all. Let us know what you think of Nina Westbrook’s comments, down below. Skip Bayless Praises Lakers For Russell Westbrook Trade

Skip Bayless has had a whole lot to say about the Los Angeles Lakers these past couple of years. Overall, he has been tough on LeBron James, however, he has been much tougher on Russell Westbrook. Westbrook is someone who has struggled as a member of the Lakers. While he got better off the bench, it still wasn’t enough. Consequently, Bayless has been urging the Lakers to trade him. After all, it is the trade deadline which means now would be the time for them to do it.

Interestingly enough, the Lakers had been working on a deal with numerous other teams. One of those teams was the Utah Jazz. Subsequently, they decided to come through with a finalized deal. Late last night, the Lakers sent Westbrook to the Jazz. Moreover, the Timberwolves entered the deal. This eventually led to the Lakers landing players like Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell. Overall, this was a blockbuster move that makes the Lakers a lot better.

Skip Bayless Speaks

Today, Bayless got to give his opinion on this trade. As you can imagine, he thinks this is massive for the Lakers. Moreover, he believes Darvin Ham will love this. “I give them a shot at making a run at winning the West because I have that much respect left for LeBron James. The cloud that hung over them was Russ,” Bayless said. “The cloud that hung over the Lakers was Russell Westbrook and was constantly a problem for Darvin Ham. I think he’s the most relieved human on Earth right now.” Whether or not Bayless is right about this, still very much remains to be seen.

The Lakers will be very interesting to watch over these coming weeks. They need to start winning games, otherwise, they will not make the postseason. However, they have a well-rounded roster now which means there are absolutely no excuses. Hopefully, for LeBron and their fans, they can get it done. Let us know what you think of the Westbrook trade, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

Russell Westbrook Buyout Likely, New Suitor Emerges

Russell Westbrook has had a very difficult time since being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, the Lakers weren’t exactly the best fit for him. LeBron James is a ball-dominant player and he didn’t mesh well with Russ. Consequently, Russ was sent to the bench by Darvin Ham and became a sixth-man for the team. While this seemed to work out at first, it became clear that the team could use some massive upgrades, altogether. Subsequently, this led to trade talks, and on Wednesday night, a deal finally got done.

Now, Westbrook is a member of the Utah Jazz. Additionally, the Lakers have gotten back players like Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell. Overall, this is a great trade for the Lakers. Meanwhile, the Jazz have some big decisions to make. Although, it has been made clear by numerous reporters that the goal is to actually just buy out Russell Westbrook’s contract. This would ultimately make him a free agent who could sign with anyone heading into the final stretch of the season.

Russell Westbrook Outlook

There have been numerous questions surrounding what kind of market is out there for Russell Westbrook right now. However, it seems like the market is actually a lot bigger than some are giving credit for. In fact, according to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Los Angeles Clippers have a ton of interest in signing Westbrook. They are on the verge of letting go of John Wall, so this would make sense. Moreover, the Chicago Bulls are also reportedly in on Westbrook. Needless to say, the veteran point guard is experiencing a lot of movement right now.

Today is a very big day for the NBA. Of course, this is because it is officially the trade deadline. Overall, the trade deadline can bring about some blockbuster moves. Many of these moves have already happened, as guys like Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have been traded. That said, you can expect plenty more trades today. Let us know which trades you want to see, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the NBA world.

Russell Westbrook Sent To Jazz In Blockbuster Move

If you are a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, it has become clear that Russell Westbrook isn’t cut out for the team. Overall, he has been a shell of himself these last couple of seasons. He has been missing some incredibly easy shots, all while causing numerous turnovers. As a whole, he just hasn’t been cutting it and fans have been getting very annoyed. Consequently, there have been all sorts of trade discussions involving Westbrook. Unfortunately, his value has been severely diminished and there was skepticism that the Lakers would find a trade partner.

A few days ago, the purple and gold were fairly confident that they would find a trade partner in the Brooklyn Nets. This would ultimately lead to Kyrie Irving, however, the Nets made it clear that they didn’t care for the Lakers’ deal. Subsequently, the Lakers had to go and search for new partners. Last night, it was reported that they officially found a suitor for Westbrook. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers got back a pretty good haul that promises to make them a whole lot better.

Russell Westbrook Deal

As you can see in the tweet above, the Lakers are going to be adding D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt to the roster. Moreover, the Utah Jazz will get Russell Westbrook and the Lakers’ 2027 first-round pick. Finally, the Minnesota Timberwolves will get Mike Conley. When you look at the breakdown, it becomes apparent that the Lakers won this trade fairly easily. The Jazz are likely going to buy out Westbrook’s contract, while the T-Wolves gave up a lot to get a little back. Overall, you should be very happy right now if you are a fan of the Lakers.

Moving forward, it will be very interesting to see how this plays out. The Lakers need to start winning some games here, or they will miss the playoffs again. Consequently, they could anger LeBron James further, which would then just lead to more trades and turmoil. Let us know what you think of this Russell Westbrook move, in the comments below. SOURCE SPORTS: Russell Westbrook Out, D’Angelo Russell in for the Lakers

Russell Westbrook Said "He Was Disappointed" That He Was Benched In Latest Lakers Loss

The Los Angeles Lakers are retooling in efforting to maximize what they can get out of the combination of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. On Wednesday, the Lakers traded Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz to bring D’Angelo Russell back to the Lake Show in a three-team trade.

The Lakers also receive guards Malik Beasley and Jarrett Vanderbilt in the deal, while the Timberwolves gain guards Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, as well as draft picks. The Jazz will also receive Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones, and a top-four protected 2027 Lakers first-round pick.

Russell and Beasley are expected to help the Lakers team with their three-point shooting abilities.

The Lakers currently sit at 25-30 entering their Thursday night game with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The post SOURCE SPORTS: Russell Westbrook Out, D’Angelo Russell in for the Lakers appeared first on The Source.

Russell Westbrook & D’Angelo Russell Trade In The Works

If you have been following the Los Angeles Lakers, you know that there have been plenty of huge Russell Westbrook trade talks. However, there was one point this season when the Lakers were seemingly going to keep Russ. Although now, things may have changed. After all, the team was pursuing Kyrie Irving, and Westbrook was part of those talks. With the trade deadline just a day away, the Lakers need to act fast, and last night’s loss to the OKC Thunder has left a bitter taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

Overall, there isn’t a huge market for Westbrook. At the end of the day, he has one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Furthermore, he only has one year left, which means he will become a free agent. For most teams, he would just be a rental. However, rentals are only good if you are trying to contend for a championship. Needless to say, there aren’t a ton of teams that are a good fit for the point guard. Regardless, the Lakers are working overtime to find a team that will take him.

Russell Westbrook Discussed

Now, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers are closing in a deal with the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves. “The Lakers, Jazz and Timberwolves are in discussions on a three-team deal that would send D’Angelo Russell to the Lakers, Russell Westbrook and draft compensation such as a first-round pick to Utah and Mike Conley Jr. to Minnesota,” Charania wrote. Of course, Russell already played for the Lakers, however, that was during the Kobe era. His time with the team came to an unceremonious end thanks to the infamous Iggy Azalea and Nick Young drama. If you’re a Lakers fan, this isn’t the blockbuster deal you were hoping for.

This is still very much a developing story, and there is no guarantee that the deal gets made. If I’m LeBron, I’m probably rushing to Rob Pelinka’s office and vetoing this deal. Unless the Lakers get more than just D-Lo, this move doesn’t make that much sense. Let us know what you think of the potential trade, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Stephen A. Smith Hits Lakers With Russell Westbrook Advice

Stephen A. Smith has had to talk a lot about the Lakers this season. Ever since trading for Russell Westbrook last year, this team has been a mess. Overall, Russ has not been the point guard he once was. Additionally, his shooting has been horrific, and it even led to him being demoted to the bench. Needless to say, this is not what the Lakers bargained for. Consequently, it has led to all sorts of trade talks that have gone nowhere. Every week, it feels as though there is some brand-new rumor pertaining to Russ. At this juncture, however, the Lakers have yet to make a move.

Over the weekend, the Lakers thought they were going to get Kyrie Irving. After demanding a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, he seemed primed and ready for the Lakers. However, the Dallas Mavericks swooped in with a better offer, much to the dismay of Lakers fans. Now, there are renewed talks about Westbrook and whether or not he should be moved. On today’s episode of First Take, Smith offered his voice to that debate.

Stephen A. The Advisor

As you can see in the clip above, Stephen A. believes it is imperative that the Lakers keep Westbrook on the roster. This is because if they trade him, they could very well bring in pieces that mess with their cap space. However, if they keep Russ, they can let him walk in the offseason. Moreover, LeBron has already stated that the team is going to be just fine. In an interview with Michael Wilbon, the Lakers superstar made it clear that he thinks the team can make a deep run if healthy. Having said that, Smith thinks it is a good plan to just keep the roster as is.

For Lakers fans, this is the last thing they wanted to hear. For months, they have been calling for a Westbrook trade, and now, analysts are claiming they should keep things status quo. Although, it is ultimately up to Rob Pelinka in terms of what the Lakers will do a couple of days from now. Let us know what you want the purple and gold to do, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more updates from the NBA.
